Hi! Im new to smogon and this is my OU RMT. I could use as much help as possible with this team so thanks! It's more of an offensive team so i guess I'll call it a Bulky Offense team.
At a glance...
Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs:82 HP/252 Atk/176 Spe
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Trick
- Fire Punch
- Stealth Rock
Anti-Lead Jirachi. Aero & Azelf, the two most common suicide leads are both 2HKOed by Iron Head. 60% of the time they cant even set up rocks. The rest of the time they dont get to do anything besides setting up rocks. Fire punch over U-Turn as I dont like U-Turn on lead Jirachi and Fire Punch gives good coverage. On bulkier leads I either trick my scarf onto them or SR and switch out.
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spe/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire
- Explosion
Scarfzone. This guy outspeeds all other non-scarfed steels and traps them, helping get rid of some of them. The moves provide STAB and coverage, Explosion to put a dent in stuff when im sacrificing/ditching zone. He works well with Mence and counters stuff. Can switch in on Gengar's Shadow Ball, Tbolt, or HP Ice and outspeed and strike back with STAB Tbolt.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252/Spe, 16/Atk, 240/Spa
Naive nature (+Spe, -Spd)
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
The "New" MixMence. Max Speed lets me outspeed enemy Zapdos and Mence (before DD) and KO them with Draco Meteor. Besides that, I find max speed to be quite usefull. Draco Meteor will put a big dent in anything that doesnt resist it or is'nt fat and named Blissey or Snorlax. Outrage is a strong physical STAB attack, and a good last ditch move as when mence is almost dead, being locked in doesnt really matter at that point. EQ and Flamethrower are for coverage.
Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252/HP, 76/Atk, 176/Spd, 4/Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -Spa)
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Brick Break
- Bullet Punch
This SD Scizor is incredible. Roost and Leftovers provide excellent survivability, and Leftovers generally works better than LO. Stuff like Starmie, Vaporeon, Swampert, Bronzong, Gliscor, etc are easy to set up on as they only do like ~35% damage or less and alternating between SD and Roost makes it easy to set up. Brick Break over X-Scissor as it gives better coverage and stops magnezone or heatran from switching in to readily. The EV's lets me allways survive Modest Specs Magnezone Tbolt and survive Timid ScarfZone's HP Fire 75% of the time with full health. Can revenge kill things like mence and works as a strong phisical sweeper.
Gengar @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252/Spe, 252/Spa, 4/Spd
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Fire
- Focus Blast
Pretty standerd Gengar sweeper. Moves chosen for maximum coverage and STAB, Expert Belt over LO for some more survivability and a still respectible 20% bonus on super effective attacks. A reliable special sweeper and excellent revenge killer, while providing great coverage.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252/Def, 184/Hp, 72/Spe
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Hidden Power Electric
Wish passing Vappy. The EV's give good defences while the Spe EV's let me outspeed things including most other Wish Vappy's. Surf gets STAB, protect keeps Vappy healthy and scouts, and HP Electric hits other waters and flyers most notably gyarados. Vappy can switch in on Gyara's waterfall, get a free 25% heal, and either KO with HP electric or force a switch. Wish passing helps keep my other pokemon alive.
