SV OU [First Post] SV OU Glimmora-Kingambit

Hi everyone. I'm posting as a beginner to Pokémon Showdown, currently at 1100 ELO (Gen 9 OU). I'd much appreciate some advice on improving the team especially countering Corviknight and other tanks. Also, are there any unnecessary Pokémon / unnecessary moves?
Team: Glimmora-Kingambit HO

Glimmora @ Focus Sash
Ability: Toxic Debris
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Mortal Spin
- Spikes
- Earth Power

Glimmora starting off the team with a focus sash to not get OHKO'd. Toxic Debris, Stealth Rock, and Spikes are used to set as many hazards on the opponents side before getting knocked out. I have put a Timid nature to get an edge against other Glimmora which I can OHKO using Earth Power.

Kingambit @ Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

Kingambit is a pretty good attacker, mainly using Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch. I sometimes use Iron Head for coverage. Adamant nature for extra attacking power.

Roaring Moon @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Acrobatics

Roaring Moon is another great attacker with wide coverage. Acrobatics always gets the x2 multiplier when the booster energy is used up. I don't know why I have Tera Flying - I've just seen it been used before.

Gholdengo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

Gholdengo is my ultimate special coverage with a wide variety of moves. I recently added Thunderbolt to counter Corviknight and it seems to be working (but it is the only counter I have against it). Air Balloon adds yet another immunity to it, removing the x2 times ground weakness.

Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Encore

Dragonite provides some more coverage to support my main attackers of Kingambit and Roaring Moon. It is a relatively tanky Pokémon so can take some hits too. Extreme Speed is especially useful due to its Priority +2 to quickly neutralise threats, as well as Earthquake for coverage. I never see myself using Dragon Dance or Encore however - not sure why I have them.

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock

Iron Valiant is a great Pokémon and it covers any other weaknesses I have really well, rounding out the team.

Really like your team pretty solid over all but I would probably suggest small changes.

For example giving glimmora the ghost Tera type. This allows the hazards it lay to not be spun away in a pinch it’s much more useful here than the flying Tera type.

2. Since you are already running shadowball I do suggest you put encore over psyshock on iron valiant. You pressure walks easier by breaking them out of their recovery moves.

3. To further help the stall/fat matchup I think that your roaring moon can run taunt > earthquake . This is also very helpful into stuff like :ting Lu: and could possible turn it setup fodder watch would otherwise be annoying for your team. You also taunt stuff like :corviknight:.

4. Last chance I think you would benefit from running this dragonite set instead better into opposing :gholdengo: for example and you can have a easier time removing steels that are otherwise kinda of annoying here. Even :kingambit:

Those are all the changes I suggest this was a real good start take care!

Some other issues I'm facing:

1. Glimmora isn't lasting long enough to set up all of the following: Stealth Rock, 3 layers of Spikes, 2 layers of Toxic Spikes. I appreciate it is difficult to get all of it setup before KO, but is there anything I can do to keep Glimmora alive enough for more layers. e.g. should I change my spread from 252 SpA to 252 HP? To be fair, I don't really use Earth Power or Mortal Spin that much.
2. Any way to stop Pokémon like Iron Treads etc. from using Rapid Spin and destroying my hazards?
3. I don't really have a sweeper. I keep having to switch out to matchup type weaknesses. Is this fine / normal? Ideally if Kingambit could take more hits, he could sweep through opposing teams.
4. Are there any Pokémon I can change for increased team synergy?

Appreciate its a lot of questions :bloblul: I'm really new to this...

No problem at all! Like I said before make sure you give it tera ghost to match in better into spinners. I also forgot to mention forgo spikes and give it earth power so you aren’t completely helpless vs tusk. Giving up spikes is a bit annoying but stealth rocks and toxic spikes still is a very strong combination.

Okay that makes sense. Btw what is the difference in strategy / playstyle between my team and the "Glimm + Tera Ground Spam HO" team? I'm considering using that team too.

Thanks for the help!

Same idea but it seems that team wants to stack hazards vs teams by using glimmora and samurott and using gholdengo to deter them and maybe set up in the right conditions.
