I decided to let you guys rate this team, got only to 1400+ in 15 mins or so (was at 1200 when I started using this team). This team is on the defensive side, with Gengar being my only frail attacker. So what are you waiting for? Go rip apart this team to your heart's content(and make it better in the process)
So first up is Conkeldurr, my physical attacker.
Conkeldeo (Conkeldurr) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
Conkeldurr's got an assault vest, which lets it take latios's surf, Gengar's dazzling gleam, and heatran's lava plume like a champ. What's more, he has guts but no flame orb or toxic orb, so rotom washes and other pokemon might think that he's got iron fist but NOPE!! He's got guts (haha) Mach punch for needed priority, ice punch for dragonite, salemance, landorus, garchomp, and gliscor, Knock off to ohko gengar after tanking a dazzling gleam and for overall team support, and Drain punch for main STAB and recovery.
I needed a physical wall that could tank powerful fighting moves to help out my Blissey, so at first I chose Togekiss, but it didn't work well with my blissey, so I picked Venusaur-mega.
Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Synthesis
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Earthquake
Venusaur-mega has great synergy with Blissey, just 'cause they're so bulky. 123 base defense for Venusaur is just amazing, but what makes it viable in OU is its ability, thick fat. Thanks to thick fat, Venusaur is only weak to psychic and flying, which aren't extremely common attacking types. EV's are to maximize defense but still let it land heavy hits with Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb. Synthesis for recovery, much better than leech seed, which I originally had, and no sleep powder because it's accuracy makes it too unreliable for my liking. Giga Drain for Rotom Wash, and Sludge Bomb for everything Giga Drain can't hit. I had HP fire, but then I realized Venusaur can't touch Heatran, like at all, so I gave him Earthquake, which 2HKOs Heatran (50-70% depending if he invests in defense) despite it having a bold nature.
Time for my special wall, what other than Blissey the pink blob!
Blisster (Blissey) (F) @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Def / 4 HP / 252 SDef
Bold Nature
- Protect
- Fire Blast
- Wish
- Heal Bell
Blissey is the best wish passer of all pokemon, and this one is my cleric too. (A cleric is a pokemon with aromatherapy or heal bell) Some of you might be thinking, why does he have a Blissey and not a Chansey? Everyone knows Chansey is a better special wall... Well, if someone knock offs Chansey's eviolite, then Chansey just dies pretty much to any fighting move. Now others might think, "Why in the world would you put a GRISEOUS ORB on Blissey?" and to be honest, those who ask that question have honestly never been trapped by a Gothitelle and become choice locked. NOT PRETTY. Basically you can't knock off or switcharoo or trick away a Griseous Orb or Mail, so knock offs will do nothing (srsly 65 power is laughable). EV's are to help with defense and increase special defense. Heck, Blissey has 650 hp who needs any hp ev's lolz. I have no fire moves on my team, so I decided to give Blissey fire blast. Blissey has serene grace, so basically she has a 20% chance to burn and 2HKOs ferrothorn and Scizor-Mega. Protect to guarantee Wish and to burn stall more. Heal Bell to help our pokemon (even conkeldurr appreciates being healthy)
Now for our bulky pivot, good old Scizor!
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Defog
Our defogger, even though he's banded. He's our heavy pivot pokemon that gains momentum that basically OHKOs Deoxys-Defense with a U turn. Just switch into Tyranitar if he survives with like 3 hp, and let the sandstorm do its job. Anyway, if you see Aerodactyls as suicide leads, remember that bullet punch OHKOs it too. Superpower is for coverage, especially for Bisharp, Tyranitar, Heatrans swithching in, and roosting skarmorys.
Time for my favourite revenge killer, T-TAR!
Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Basically how Tyranitar works as a revenge killer is you send him in on a weakened pokemon, and use pursuit. If he stays in, he dies 'cause you're faster than a non timid or jolly Greninja, and if he switches out he dies because pursuit. Stone Edge is to surprise Charizard, Stone Miss is to surprise you. (just hope you don't miss Stone Edge) Crunch is for Latios's who think they can outspeed you with a life orb boosted Draco Meteor, and superpower just kills Tyranitar-megas who think that 71 base speed is faster than 61 base speed ( it is, but you're scarfed) Remember, switch in Tyranitar, kill something, then switch out immediately. TTar is very important to this team.
Now finally for the person who can take gound and fighting and grass and fairy and bug hits for Tyranitar-- Gengar!
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball
Gengar is our frail speedy special attacker. He's special because he can generally take two pokemon down before he dies, and if you absolutely NEED death foddder, use him. Gengar takes two pokemon down by destroying the first one and Destiny Bonding the second. Life orb is to maximize damage since he is not a mega, Focus Blast is for coverage, focus miss is to make you cry. Sludge wave and Shadow Ball are your STAB moves for coverage.
And there you have it! enjoy this defensively offensive team! or is it offensively defensive...
Oh, and here's the importable.
