First Real attempt at a UU team

Since i coudnt find any list of UU tier threats i just tried my best at matching every weakness with a resistance for now.. this will probably get updated when i get some feedback.. thanks for the help! =P

and yes im a noob at this sorry

---

Froslass (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic

my starter its quick and probably would do some damage with its Choice specs (hopefully)

---
Phione @ Damp Rock
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Rain Dance
- Rest
- Surf

the standard phione set that relies on rain dance to be status free and powers up its surf.. with grass knot to cover other water types. rest being there to provide one turn complete heal

---
Toxicroak (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 16 HP/252 Atk/240 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Cross Chop
- Rain Dance
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch

I put toxicroak here for some type coverage not found in my other pokemon including steel and sucker punch is here in case he is forced to fight a psychic type which is the only issue when it comes to weaknesses at the moment. + can be used to absorb water attacks

---
Lopunny (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Klutz
EVs: 252 HP/232 Spd/26 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Switcheroo
- Return
- Ice Punch
- Sky Uppercut

like toxicroak needed some physical attackers...
choose lopunny because of its switcheroo ability if it ever need come to that..

---
Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 216 HP/148 Def/144 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Energy Ball
- Aromatherapy
- Reflect
- Leech Seed

i need a physical wall and its aromatherapy can heal my other pokemon of their status effect and reflect boosts the others defenses + decent offense found in energy ball IMO

---
Nidoking (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- (Thunderbolt / Thunder) ?
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball

im pretty sure im gonna keep him though im trying to decide whether to keep thunderbolt or thunder.. the reason i wonder this is because 2 of my other pokemon use rain dance in their strategy.. and i wonder if putting thunder would be too risky in case rain dance ends..

what i need to know is
- any problems with my pokemon types?
- any no good at their job?
- any UU pokemon better at the job?
- any able to do BETTER in their role if different moveset?
- if so what changes should be made?

+ any place/way that i can find out the more common threats in UU?

any helpful criticism accepted thanks :happybrain:

- any problems with my pokemon types?

Both Meganium and Toxicroak are weak to flying type attacks, and you have no resists. Although Sucker Punch will provide some deterrent against Dodrio and Swellow, once he's gone they have the potential to tear through your team.

You also have no psychic type resist and both Toxicroak and Nidoking are weak, again once Toxi's down you might have problems.

- any no good at their job?

Yes, I'm afraid so.

Meganium simply cannot work as your sole physical wall.

Just think about some of the primary physical threats in UU ... Swellow, Dodrio, Scyther, Pinsir ... all of whom have super effective STAB moves at their disposal.

Furthermore without some form of Hidden Power, and Energy Ball as your only direct attack Meganium offers so many free switch ins it is not funny ... Altaria, Pinsir, Scyther, Venomoth, Ninetales, Muk, Toxicroak, Swellow, Dodrio, Vileplume ... and many more, I simply picked the most threatening from each group.

Obviously a single hidden power cannot cover all of Meg's weaknesses but you might want to think about

HP Ice: Dragons, Grass, Flying
HP Rock: Fire, Bug, Flying
HP Ground: Fire, Poison

You desperately need another wall to help Megnaium out.

Also not the best use of Lopunny I'm afraid. She has an incredibly diverse movepool when it comes to disruptive moves and status attacks but as a physical attacker there are many better options.

If you want a physical attacker with Switcheroo than Linoone might be a better option, or you might want to consider something like Kecleon or Banette that can Trick with similar results.

They're different. Phione is faster, has more Sp Atk, where as Dewgong is bulkier. It's really pick what you want.
