Battle Stadium First Real BSS Team

Ok so this is my first real team that I made to be competitive on Battle Stadium Singles. My goal was to make sure I have a counter to most of the meta that is out there. Also my battle style is offensive so the more attack the better.

:ss/excadrill:

Excadrill (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Tomb
- Brick Break

The more I have used this Pokemon I think Excadrill is require for every team. His ability mold breaker is way better on what sand stream can ever offer. When this Pokemon is around Mimikyu and Eiscue are no threats. On top of that when its holding the focus sash you are guarantee to survive so you can use rock tomb to help slow people down that can help the team in the long run. I like having brick break on my moveset because it helps me deal with those Pokemon who love to do reflect, light screen, or aurora val.

:ss/mimikyu:

Mimikyu (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Phantom Force
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

Ok this is probably the most pivotal Pokemon in the game. At some point when I was battling with my team I was just bring Mimikyu because I was unsure if I can win that battle. The set I have is the common sets you see on most Mimikyu except for phantom force. I chose this over shadow claw because I need to stall out these dyna-maxing pokemon. Also, if Mimikyu is able to get a sword dance in battle, the combination of that and life orb is almost unmatched. Mimikyu can also stall when it dyna-max because of max guard so that is always helpful.

:ss/rotom-heat:

Rotom-Heat @ Passho Berry
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Thunder Wave
- Dark Pulse

Ok before anything I should say that I hate the move overheat with a passion. It's already bad that my special attack goes down harshly when I used it once, but it has to have 90 accuracy instead of 100. Anyways this is my Togekiss/Gyardos killer. I chose the timid nature because I needed to outspeed both of these Pokemon. Also, I should say that I am not a big fan of volt-switch because I don't like my other Pokemon taking damage after I switch in if I outspeed and there are times that don't want to switch but I have to because volt-switch is the only effective move. The item I chose is unique because the Passho berry allows to me to survive a gyardos that dyna-max with plus 1 attack with life orb without the rain with jolly nature. Also without the plus 1 into gyardos attack he is not going to one shot me. This allows to kill those gyardos if they have the berry that weakens super effective electric moves. Also rotom in heat form counters togekiss completely so despite its flaws, I need it.

:ss/conkeldurr:

Conkeldurr (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Def / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch

This is a stand Conkeldurr set that is run on battle stadium. The reason I added this Pokemon to the team because I need a fighting type Pokemon that was going to hit hard. The speed evs I have on Conkeldurr is to make it fast enough to outspeed ferratorn. One reason I have flame orb is to protect myself from other status that Pokemon want to throw at me. For example if Hippadown used yawn on me. I will use ice punch and let the flame orb help me stay awake while I am doing more damage the next turn.

:ss/primarina:

Primarina (F) @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Torrent
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball

Primarina is one of those surprising Pokemon for me. I never used it in gen 7 so the fact that it was this viable made me happy. I decided to go all in for as a special attack so I chose the modest nature with max investment in HP and SPA. I have seen sets with Sparkling Aria over Surf, but I am a little scared because sound moves are starting to get nurf a little and I didn't want to take that chance. After that everything else should be standard. For the item I chose the wiki berry because of the extra health even though it goes against torrent on making my water moves stronger.

:ss/goodra:

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 60 HP / 196 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Ice Beam

As the last Pokemon on my I really wanted someone that can do flamethrower and has good special attack. Goodra was able to do both. I chose the assault vest at the item because I wanted to add on to it massive special defense. For the ev build I wanted Goodra to be bulky enough to survive an attack from durant with a life orb. For the ability I chose Gooey so other Pokemon can become slower if they make contact with Goodra. With the moveset I chose dragon pulse for stab, ice beam and flamethrower for coverage, and I chose sludge wave for those fairy types like slyveon that might be in my way.

Some Final Thoughts: One thing I notice while playing that dual screen grimsnarl my be the most op pokemon in the game. There is nothing really stopping the setup because of prankster and the fact he is a dark type. The worst part of grimsnarl is not defeating the pokemon is whoever comes next. The most common pokemon I have seen with grimsnarl is Gyardos and that will be the free moxie kill if grimsnarl attack me. Also if I am at full health I need to get rid of the screens first so this cause me some problems. Beside that I think this team is pretty cool but I know I need to make it better if I want to move up the master rankings. The highest I have ever reach this team was 8,489 in the world ranking and I am trying to be number 1.

Hi and welcome,
i'll start by saying that the team has a nice steel/fairy/dragon core with Exca Mimikyu which work pretty well togheter and Prima or Goodra, which are maybe a little bit redundant togheter.

Here i'd strongly recommend to switch Dragapult for Goodra, and add Thunder Wave or Trick Room on your Mimikyu, over Shadow Claw or Sword Dance, for some extra Speed-control if you want to sweep with Conk or Prima/Lapras.
Keep in mind that with Thunder Wave, to outspeed opposing max speed Dragapult you will need at least 107 speed, whereas with Rock Tomb 143 speed is your milestone.
A common speed tier to beat is 161, that is Darmanitan's speed, which is often equipped with a Choice Scarf hitting a number of 241. You will need at least 121 Speed in order to be faster than it after a Thunder Wave.

dragapult.png
@ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Level: 50
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Steel Wing
- Dragon Dance

This is a BulkuPult spread that is faster than max speed Hydreigon by 2 points, while also being able to outspeed scarf Darmanitan after a DD.

Minor changes i'd make are removing Brick Break on Excadrill, probably putting Sword Dance for extra damage, Horn Drill for desperate situations or just a stronger Rock-type move such as Rock Slide, which can even fish for flinches if needed.
I'd also recommend Sand Rush so that if you decide to Dmax you could auto-set Sand and double your speed.

Adding an Assault Vest on Primarina could be a good idea too, or directly switching it for a Gmax-Lapras with AV as well might work for your team, keeping Mimikyu as your only Fairy-type but gaining more bulk, utility and probably even sheer power with its G-move.

lapras-gmax.png
@ Assault Vest / Weakness Policy
Ability: Water Absorb
Level: 50
EVs: 156 HP / 116 Def / 116 SpA / 116 SpD / 4 Spe (if you use the AV set you could even put the SpDef EVs into Defense or SpAtk)
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sparkling Aria
- Sheer Cold
- Freeze-Dry
- Thunder

This spread allows Lapras to outspeed mons with 161 speed such as Darmanitan after Thunder Wave.
Weakness Policy is a strong option as well.

If you go with Weakness Policy here, putting the Assault Vest on Rotom-H, making it your Togekiss Check, could be a good idea or if you want to keep Twave on it, which i think is a very good idea, Wiki Berry should work.

Let me know if this works out or if you have any question.
Cheers

Thank you for your response. I was wondering what you think of this Mimikyu set because I change it a little so it can fit the team. Also I added the gmax lapris and dragapault. Well here is a paste on the changes I did. https://pokepast.es/5b985ddbdb5f1e8a

i like it, it's a nice idea because it offers a way to go through the Lum Berry. Just keep in mind that it's a one trick pony, good for best of 1 situations such as games in ladder, whereas with Twave you won't be moving as second all the times like you'd do with lagging tail.
Let me know how the team goes!
