First RMT here

I'm still a little new here so I can't speak with the same level of confidence as some of the other smogon members or have text walls on why this pokemon is super important because it covers this and that. I just wanted to get some insight from fellow Smogon community members. Obviously the first thing you all are going to see and question is, "Why is there an uber and a nu on his OU team?" That's why I made this thread. I'm open to all suggestions and I hope you guys take time aside to read and rate my team. Thanks in advance!

AT A GLANCE

1. Swampert (Leftovers)
Torrent
260.png

240 HP, 216 Def, 52 SpD
Relaxed
-waterfall
-protect
-earthquake
-stealth rock

Swampert makes for a great bulky lead. His defensive ability lets him survive multiple hits before finally going down. With sand storm support his special defense and his survivability goes up. If swampert can get stealth rock out fast he can stick around a lay down a few waterfalls on the opponent, and with torrent support swampert can be dangerous when his health gets low. Swampert can act as a check for any fire or electric pokemon that want to harm my team. He and scizor make good team mates, being able to cover each others' weaknesses.

2. Garchomp (Life orb)
Sand Veil
445.png

4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
Docile
-swords dance
-dragon claw
-fire fang
-earthquake

Garchomp is a powerhouse of fury but mine is natured wrong and he doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the OUs. he's too strong and laughs at them and bullies them. I put him in my team because I thought, "wow...I need this bad ass. he's strong, attractive, has nice moves..." But I want a pure OU team though, so I'm looking for a good replacement in the OU tier!

3. Scizor (Choice Band)
Technician
212.png

248 HP, 252 Atk, 8 Spe
Adamant
-bullet punch
-pursuit
-u-turn
-super power

Scizor is (sorta..not really) fast, agile, and flexible in the team. He can quickly come in and priority bullet punch for fast, powerful hits and then run away before any major harm comes to him. He walks all over grass moves aimed at swampert. With u-turn he can seriously damage shaymin or celebi assuming they don't have any fire moves up their sleeves. Scizor can also pursuit latios out of the sky.

4. Togekiss (Leftovers)
Serene Grace
468.png

252 HP, 188 Def, 68 SpD
Calm
-air slash
-aura sphere
-roost
-thunderwave

Being able to completely cripple an enemy's ability to attack is a gift from god himself. Being able to heal off any damage from the hits the enemy MIGHT be able land with roost + leftovers support makes Togekiss a real annoyance to the opponent in battles and that's why I found a spot on my team for it. Togekiss can take down slower fighting/grass enemies and swampert can absorb any electric attacks thrown at it.

5. Typhlosion (Choice Specs)
Blaze
157.png

4 Def, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Timid
-flamethrower
-hidden power grass
-eruption
-focus blast

Typhlosion is my favorite pokemon. That is the only reason he is on my team. I'm going to replace him with a heatran as soon as I can get one with the right nature(naive). Not only that but heatran supports scizor/swampert more. Typhlosion always gets owned whenever I send him out in OU so he has to go.

6. Tyranitar (Expert Belt)
Sand Stream
248.png

56 Atk, 252 Spa, 200 Spe
Naive
-flamethower
-ice beam
-thunderbolt
-earthquake

When I first put tyranitar in my team, I didn't really like it that much. I decided to run a special set to catch people off guard and even though tyranitar lost some power, the special set manages to hold its own in battle. After battling with it more, I've begun to gain some respect for it plus its sand stream ability works perfectly with the rest of my team (except typhlosion...but he's getting replaced). Unfortunately when you send a guy like tyranitar out your opponent makes it their priority to destroy it and are often packing things to swiftly get rid of my t-tar.

Just some extra notes:

-Without realizing it, I made a really sloppy sandstorm team...
-I think the biggest problem with my team is that most of the pokemon are really slow.
--My first big change is to get rid of typhlosion and add heatran to cover scizor and swampert.
-I realized recently that my team really has no way of keeping gyarados or other dangerous water types in check.

EDIT: Made my descriptions a bit longer + added pictures

You should probably use Scarf Flygon in place of Garchomp, that'll add a good amount of speed to your team, a more effective revenge killer for Pokes that resist Bullet Punch, and a Pokemon that resists entry hazard damage, which is important since you have no spinner. Personally I think Hippowdon is much better for the lead role than Swampert, so you should run this set:

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpDef
Careful Nature
-Earthquake
-Slack Off
-Stealth Rock
-Roar

In-game, however, if your opponent switches in Jirachi, Gengar, or another Trick user, pivot to Flygon immediately so you can absorb the Trick and continue. Hippowdon also makes sure you have another Sand Streamer in case your opponent uses Abomasnow/Rain Dance.

I think Togekiss doesn't really fit the team, as you appear to be going for stall of sorts. Therefore, I recommend this as a replacement:

Gliscor @ Leftovers
252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Taunt
-Toxic
-Roost/Stone Edge
-Earthquake

This will help you annoy your opponent further, as Sand Veil will make their attacks even less accurate in your perpetual Sandstorm. Gliscor also serves as a good physical wall and checks Lucario, among others, and can help spread Toxic poisoning to Pokemon who aren't taking much damage from your others.

Heatran is a good replacement for Typhlosion, though your team will look a little too stereotypically OU if you do so. It's your choice really.
