Well as the title suggest this is my first rmt on smogon however i am not new to pokemon so hopefully my team does not have to many things to change~
this is an all offensive team that i put together recently and have tested a bit against friends so far it has done pretty well and has not loss yet. but i would appreciate any advice someone can give me. Now onto the team:
My Team At A Glance:
okay im not the greatest and pasting pics so sorry bout that the order the pokemon appear in my team is as follow (along with their team role, move sets, and explinations)
The Lead:
Azelf@focus sash
levitate
naive
4 spA/252 atk/252 spe
moves: Stealth rock- most offensive teams enjoy stealth rock as it helps them sweep easier by turning 2HKOs into 1HKOs,and my team is no exception.
explosion- after azelf has set up stealth rocks/taunted or done both and a threat seems to arrive azelf will always be there to explode and cause massive dammage and usually take it out with it.
psychic- a STAB move so azelf is rendered useless to taunt and for if azelf needs to kill the opposing lead
taunt- used to stop the opponent from setting up their SR works all the time except with aerodactyl.
why Azelf?
With high atk stats on both ends of the spectrum azelf can usually cause trouble before he's KOed. also aside from aerodactyl azelf has the fastest taunt, and being speedy he can set up SR fast too, usually i taunt and SR before he faints. but also if the lead isnt a good match up he can explode. there are so many options i can pick and thats why hes awesome.
reasons for evs:
aerodactyl being the pokemon azelf hates the most, is the reason that i have the 4 evs into spA, they allow him to just 2HKO aerodactyl( one will always 2HKO aerodactyl for the lead ones always use focus sashs).then being a lead you want speed so thats what the 252 speed evs are for to make sure he always gets the taunt off first turn. then with all the remaining evs i placed them into atk so when my lil buddy explodes he most likely takes my opponents pokemon down with him.
Physical Sweeper:
Gyarados@life orb

moves: dragon dance- boosts speed and boosts atk... a great move in my book for a phys sweeper. usually one DD does it but i like to get in two if i can.
waterfall-gyarados's new and probably most favourite toy. a decently strong phys STAB.
Ice fang-sweeping is fun till a big beast tries to stop you or a wall comes. is salamence trying to stop my sweep? is hippowdon attempting to wall me? with ice fang its funny to watch them think they've stopped me :D
stone edge-gyarados enemmy zapdos may use my sweeping time to come in and try to sweep me. looks like it forgot i can 1HKO it .
why gyarados?
He was listed as one of dpp's biggest threats and now i knw why. this guys a beast! after only one DD he can cause massive damage to teams, and he's supprisingly bulky even with no major ev investment which gives him one bragging right over salamence.
reason for evs: this is simple- its a DD phys sweeper. so max evs for atk and spe is a given. then now for the last 4 i placed them in def to make him a bit bulkier.
Mix Sweeper:

moves:draco meteor- i love this move its insanely powerful and puts a dent in many pokemon.
outrage- a great move and this goes back to how important azelfs taunt is for after an outrage i usually switch out. then later bring him back which racks up more SR dmg for me.
Fire blast- every time a steel comes in to "wall" me i always have a nice laugh, as i watch their mence counter crushed :P
earthquake- a good phys move i can use when im not ready to lock into outrage yet
why salamence?
this guy has always been my fav since rse, and now in dpp he again has risen to his title in many eyes as most dangerous sweeper threat.this guy hits hard from both sides and can rip teams into shreds if they're not prepared. however many ppl have suggested using the classic mixmence for being able to KO blissey and tyranitar. for the same reason for a switch to classic mixmence ppl have suggested turning to mixnite as it has superpower for anyone who rates my team i would reall appreciate some advice on what to do here please and thank you!
reason for evs: Like gyarados this is a fast reason. the evs given allow mixmence to hit as hard as possible on both ends and to help him sweep.

super power-good bye blissey :D, an awesomely strong fighting atk
U-turn-great for scouting and giving me an advantage from a switch right after theirs
pursuit-traps pokemon they either switch and take insane amounts or stay in and take insane amounts.traps latias which i hate. and it helps by getting a mind game set up which is why i love pokemon.
Why scizor?
great for cleaning up late game and picking off weakened pokemon left from my sweepers rampages. Technician+CB+STAB priority move=monster

i love dragon pokemon as you can see, and i saw how awesome garchomp was so i thought lets try his lil bro. his lil bro is a beast, and has many resistances. letting it switch in with ease and get a fast kill or letting it then scout.
reason for evs: the spA evs make him able to revenge kill salamence and kingdras who may try to sweep.( i hate rain dance mix kingdra). the atk evs are a given since he revenge kills.and the remainder are put into spe to help him revenge kill.
The late game physical sweeper:

inner focus

moves:sword dance-power up first turn the after start to sweep :D
close combat:strong STAB that dents and even 1HKOs some pokemon

crunch:to get rid of pests like cressalia and gengar and so on, plus it makes sure im not completely helpless to ghost types with luke

this guy with only one turn of set can become on of OU most threatning pokemon. and with this team, i usually save him till late game where i unleash him after my opponents team has many holes in it and many pokemon and significantly weakened. even mid game he can make dents in teams, and allow my other sweepers to sweep end game.heck luke is so good he can sweep almost entire teams at times.
