Introduction
Hey, welcome to my first Rate My Team. I am still kind of new to the Competitive Battling perspective, but I've been messing around with some Pokémon, and I seem to like the result of what I have been using lately.
Team Building Process
I orginally wanted to use Froslass as my lead, thanks to Spikes + Destiny Bond.
I then needed a wall, so I decided to add Eviloite Chansey.
A special attacker and/or rapid spinner was needed, so I thought of Starmie.
The Mega I really wanted to use was Mega Mawile, and it seemed she fit right into this team as a physical sweeper.
I really liked the tough of using Heatran + Gastrodon, as they have nice synergy.
Starmie wasn't working very well, so I swapped out for a Water-Fighting type: Keldeo.
The team literally only had 1 physical attacker, so I swapped Froslass with a Physical attacking Metagross lead.
The Team
Metagross | Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant (+ Atk, - SpA)
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Atk / 16 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Stealth Rock
Metagross is used as my main lead. He is a reliable lead for getting up Stealth Rock, and has STAB priority Bullet Punch to hit hard. Earthquake is nice for coverage, as it hits Heatran. Explosion when I am low on HP, and that'll definitely put a dent in the opposing team. Lum Berry is used so that if Smeargle wants to Spore me, I can wake up automatically and use Earthquake to bring it down to its Focus Sash. Then Bullet Punch.
Chansey | Eviolite
Ability: Nautral Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Bold (+ Def, - Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Aromatherapy
- Toxic
- Soft Boiled
Chansey, the amazing wall. Thanks to the Eviolite, Chansey becomes an engaging wall. Seismic Toss is Chansey's only viable attacking move, doing 50 or 100 damage depending on the levels. Aromatherapy is there so that I can clear all Status from my teammates, which is really profitable. Toxic is there to stall with Soft Boiled. Natural Cure is also functional for me so if I don't feel secure using Aromatherapy, I can just switch.
Keldeo | Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid (+Spe / -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind
- Aqua Jet
Keldeo, the amazing magical pony. Hydro Pump for a high damaging STAB Water move, and Secret Sword for a high damaging STAB Fighting move. Icy Wind is there so that I can hit Dragon types, and Aqua Jet is nice STAB priority. Expert Belt is useful here, as 3/4 of his moves are STAB, and the Life Orb assures some 1HKOs. Timid so that Keldeo can be as fast as he can be, and additionally the 252 SpA and 252 Spe help him hit hard and move fast. Justified is also useful as he cannot be touched by Dark types.
->
Mawile -> Mega Mawile | Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate -> Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+ Atk, - SpA)
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Fire Fang
- Sucker Punch
Mega... Mawile. This guy is a beast. Swords Dance as setup, then I can begin to either Play Rough the dragons, Fire Fang is used so that I can hit Scizor and Ferrothorn, and Sucker Punch-priority anything that can potentially KO me. 252 HP so Mawile can at least tank some stuff. 252 Atk so Mawile can hit hard, and 4 Spe to out speed other Mega Mawile. Intimdate so that the opposing Pokémon has their Attack lowered, which makes it easier for Mega Mawile, then Huge Power for that nice Attack raise.
Heatran | Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Nature: Calm (+SpD, - Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Toxic
- Protect
Heatran's main role is my Specially Defensive Wall. Lava Plume is his main-attacking move, thanks to its 30% chance to burn the target. Roar is used switch out any match ups that Heatran does not like. Toxic and Protect are used to stall. The Air Balloon is used so that he can't be hit by any Ground Moves before he is hit with another move. If a Water Type comes in, I can switch into Gastrodon thanks to its Storm Drain ability, which creates great synergy with the two.
Gastrodon | Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Recover
Gastrodon is a fantastic Physical Wall. It has great synergy with Heatran. With the 2 strong STAB special moves: Scald & Earth Power, he can put a dent in your team. Scald also has that chance of burn, which makes it really nice to break Physical sweepers. Toxic is nice as I can stall with Recover. 252 HP & 252 Def so that Gastrodon can just eat up any Physical attack. Storm Drain is also very nice, as when Heatran is in against a Water type, Gastrodon can come in and get a Special Attack boost.

Another Perspective
My team is definitely weak on the Physical attacking Side, but using Mega Mawile and Metagross, I think that that is enough. Chansey can also be considered one, thanks to her Seismic Toss.
