Well please excuse the lack of variation in my team, it is my first and has won me around 5 matches with 2 losses. I was never a big battler untill I found out about smogon, and well I am sorta hooked..
Onwards to my team:
At a glance
Simple Swampert standard build, made to SR and move on unless he can get a shot in on a weaker starter. He is invaluable against any focus sash suicide starter and takes any Aero out in 2 hits.
Moves/ EV -240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA
Relaxed
~ Earthquake
~ Roar
~ Hydro Pump
~ Stealth Rock
The addition of Roar has helped me to counter ninjask and Smeargle general baton pass builds which were walking all over my team.
Special Sweeper Azel@Choice Specs
Azelf is my most recent addition to the team. He is a special sweeper with a large movepool which makes him more flexiable. He carries multiple counters and and his Choice specs help him deal out high damage hits. He retains trick from my last Alakazam and his flame thrower and grassknot help with new counters I have experienced during my most recent battles.
Naive
Moves /EVs- 35 Atk/222 Spd/ 252 SpA
~ Psychic
~ Flame Thrower
~ Grassknot
~ Trick
.
Team Tank Snorlax@Leftovers
Standard Curse Lax, I keep finding him less and less useful. With my newest changes to this ever growing team he finds himself facing Fighting attacks on his second turn and my need to switch him forces another team mate to take a hit. He breaks the good synergy this team has, and needs to go asap. I still sweep with him on occasion that a fighting pokemon is defeated beggining to mid game.
Moves/ EV -168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD
Careful
~ Curse
~ Return
~ Rest
~ Earthquake
Latias@ChoiceScarf
The addition of Latias was sparked by a fellow players realization that Flygon is not as usefull as Latias on this team. This switch is derived from Latias' ability to stop mence and gyarados from completely stopping this team after 1 turn while having generally better or the same damage outputs, much more bulk, and always-outrunning base 100s. Draco Meter is his base move and its high damage also outweights the usefulness of Outragedue to its lack of dependency.
Moves/ EV -252 SpA / 4 HP / 252 Spe
Modest
~ Thunder Bolt
~ Draco Meter
~ Surf~HP Fighting
Scizor@Choice Band
Still learning how to use my Sciz, I added Pursuit to take off a Gengar threat. He is mostly an endgame entity unless I pull him out first. I till need to refine my skills with him. His ability to U-turn in beggining and middle game help to add to his scouting abilities. \He doesn't have the skills of a true Revenge killer but I have sweeped with him in the past.
Moves/ EV -32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Adamant
~ Pursuit
~ Bullet Punch
~ Superpower
~ U-turn
Vaporeon@LeftOvers
Nothing on my team fears SR, so RS isn't absolutely needed if I don't give free turns to let 2+ spikes on your side. I realized this and quickly replaced my starmie with Vaporeon. Wish supports the "semi-bulky" attitude of this team better than countering some gyara sets, and having trouble with others or if damaged at all beforehand. This also opens the option of replacing Pert as a lead, at which point I would end up with a totally new team.
Moves/ EV -188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
Bold
~ Wish
~ Surf
~ Protect
~ HP Electric
My current fears are Ninjask/Marowak teams being that I can't taunt them and they easily beat me once my Flygon runs out of firepunches. Who can I fit taunt on? My team also struggles against Celebi on a Sand Storm team, because it has free reign against my team after dropping Flygon.
This weakness was fixed through the addition of roar to my pert. He just pushes Ninjask out of the way ;3
Whew
I honestly had no idea what to expect making my first RMT and I cannot thank anyone enough for posting in this thread or just PMing me. This thread should have been locked, and I was not ready to create such a thread when I did so. This team came in as a weak un sorted first team, ndhas semi emerged as an entire new team built soley by my pokemon peers. I do not deserve acess to such great critque and I feel blessed by the time and effeort everyone who attributed to the team thus far. What I am trying to say is thank you for the great indepth help!
