XY OU (First RMT) Road to Glory

(First RMT) Road to Glory
After many years since the beginning of 4th gen, I have finally emerged from the shadows to create my first RMT. Even though I've been competitive battling since 4th gen, I've never really become all that high in the ladder. But now I plan to change that and have made a team which I think could help me get up there. This is a Bulky Offensive team which utilizes wallbreaking to push through to victory. Without further adieu here's the team:

Kyurem-Black @ Leftovers
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Substitute
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power

This big guy is the focus of the team. I do whatever I can to get this guy into the game and start wrecking. Kyurem-B is and absolute monster not matter what set you run. Though the Substitute set is the most common, it is the most threatening. Setting up a sub protects Kyurem from all sorts of crippling status and priority such as Bullet Punch from Scizor and Mach Punch from Fighting types. Ice Beam is the STAB of choice due to its great coverage and power. Thanks to Teravolt, Mega-Venusaur isn't a problem due to Teravolt acting as a different pseudonym for Moldbreaker and busting through Thick Fat. Adding along Fusion Bolt makes BoltBeam coverage with Ice Beam and hits many pokes hard. And then Earth Power hits Heatran and Rotom-W.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Earthquake
- Roost

Latios acts as Kyurem-B's wallbreaking dragon partner. Speed and Sp. Attack are maxed to do as much damage as possible as fast as possible. When in doubt, Draco it out. Psyshock is a great move to catch Mega-Venusaur on the switch and to decimate the musketeers such as Keldeo and Terrakion. Latios' role on the team is the one I'm the most unsure of. Don't get me wrong its a fantastic wallbreaker and excellent Heatran lure with Earthquake, but I'm thinking of running Scarf instead.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 208 HP / 252 Atk / 48 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn

This is my main fairy slayer, tank, and defogger. Mega-Scizor is an excellent candidate for my team as it is very weak to fairies and doesn't care about taking Moonblasts, Play Roughs, or Pixilated Hyper Voices. With the invested speed, I'm able to outspeed uninvested base 80's (Heatran included as well as Mega-Venusaur before being HP Fired or put to sleep.) I love this set as it does nearly a third to Rotom-W by using U-turn and then going into an appropriate counter such as Kyurem and set up. It also pairs nicely with Kyurem-B because it defogs away hazards and screens (many people forget Defog removes screens lol). It is also a great tank even uninvested in defense so I can just max out in attack to hit hard without taking much damage from physical attacks. Heatran may be a hard counter to this and can set up Stealth Rocks again after I remove them, but thats why I have Earthquake Latios.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

You just can't go wrong with Heatran. Heatran is one of those guys you use all the time but just doesn't die. This is also another fairy counter I have just whenever in case Scizor goes down to some misprediction or whatever. Heatran sets up the Stealth Rocks for my team and usually stays around long enough just in case they spun or defogged away. I usually used Will-O-Wisp over Toxic but I have finally seen the light with Toxic. Thanks to Protect, I'm able to get more lefties recovery and toxic stall my opponent. Heatran is like no other and great for any team.

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Rock Tomb

I've been seeing this guy lately as a lead and have been completely surprised how much this guy screws me over from like the first few turns of the match. From my testing so far it has seen great results! It puts most leads to sleep (barring Ferrothorn of course) and proceeds to put the hurt on. Having Rock Tomb around is like a good one-two-punch for guys coming in on the switch due to the speed drop. Once Breloom is down to its sash, I usually save if for later death fodder or use Bullet Seed against a sub. The EV's on this guy is great because no one expects to be out sped and put to sleep. If they don't carry Lum, I can usually put threats like Dragonite and Gyarados to sleep with the speed creep.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 108 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Toxic

And finally we have Mandibuzz. After looking back at my team I realized I needed an Aegislash counter, and boy does it counter that blade of perdition! Mandibuzz is just like Heatran, it doesn't die, I can use it a bunch in one match, and I get results. Foul Play is great for boosting physical sweepers like Bisharp and Dragonite. I like using Knock Off alongside Toxic as I am able to Toxic the opponent's wall and then Knock Off its leftovers so it will die quicker. It can come in on Excadrill and doesn't care at all for Rock Slide and can nearly take it out with Foul Play as it spins or tries to do damage with Rock Slide. Knock Off is also great for removing Eviolites from Chansey, another major problem for my team.

Overall:
This Bulky Offensive team utilizes stall and wallbreaking to bring down the opposing team. Once worn down, Scizor or Latios can come and clean up by using Bullet Punch or Psyshock respectively. I realize a lot of you are saying that I have 4 guys weak to fairies and I'll admit that is sort of an issue which is why whenever I see a fairy I try to keep Scizor and Heatran alive as I possibly can. Some fairies do cause a bit of trouble regardless such as Togekiss as it has a great movepool of coverage such as Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Fire Blast, etc. I usually have to resort to Toxic stalling for such threats.

Well that's it! I hope you enjoyed my RMT! I am absolutely open to any criticism involving my team, outline, or even my grammer lol. I can't wait to hear from you!!

~See ya!

Nitpick; have you ever tried HP Ground on Latios and Air Balloon on Heatran? With QuakeSpam being more common, there are many times when Heatran's Lefties won't cut it. Also, I suggest Choice Specs on Latios since you seem to be quite lacking in power, since this team looks a bit more like a semi-stall instead of bulky offense.

Hey Iced Tristan cool team! This team is actually hella solid and I love the idea of bait Latios combined with a supportive Mega Scizor that no longer has to worry about Heatran. I do have one suggestion though that I feel can make this team a bit stronger. Choice Specs Keldeo looks to be a bit of a problem as you have only one pokemon that can reliably come in being Latios and that mon is trapped and pressured by the popular Specs Keldeo/Mega Charizard-Y/Pursuit Aegislash combo. With Latios essentially being pursuit trapped and knocked out, Keldeo is now free to annoy the hell out of your team. In order to fix this issue, i suggest Amoonguss. Amoonguss gives you a very reliable check to Keldeo as well as being able to tank hits from Mixed Thundurus or regular Life Orb Thundurus which also seems like a bit of a nuisance while also beating Azumarill, which your team does not appreciate switching in to. Amoonguss also has access to Clear Smog which makes beating CM Clefable that much easier. Foul Play is also great for pokemon who think that they can set up for free.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Foul Play
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
Anyway, that's all i've got for you buddy. Really solid team! Hope i helped! :]

With Aegislash gone for the suspect test I also support Air Balloon surplus on Heatran because Excadrill will be more prominent now, given that Air Balloon Aegislash was becoming more and more rampant with an increase in Excadrill, causing a decrease in them given that switching in proved ineffective on countering/checking as well as spinblocking, so it was a bit of a shitter. On Breloom.. you're not outspeeding much in this metagame and anything you would maybe outspeed like Bisharp is already wasted by Mach Punch, so I personally suggest throwing most of if not all the speed EVs into HP for longevity.

The rest of the team looks quaint, I think.
