XY OU First RMT - [TeamDefeat]

CrushinDefeat

Defeat me if you can... Survive if I let you!
Hey guys! :) Im CrushinDefeat, its nice to meet you all, this is my first RMT so I apologize if there are problems with it I hope it works out well, this is TeamDefeat ( Its cheesy but I can't help it), I've played extensively with this squad and I was wondering what feed back I could get to take the team higher. I've laddered with the account Holy Woody and reached 1510 at I believe 22-3 ( now im at 25-8 ). I think I may have run out of creativity at this point with making other OU Teams hopefully I get inspired by your comments :) Thank you for your ideas and criticism, without further adieu here is TeamDefeat!

milotic.gif

Milotic @ Lum Berry
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Haze
- Scald
- Recover
- Mirror Coat

So I usually run Milotic as a lead just to test out the opponents teammates a scope em out. I also like to send out Milotic to tank special attacks since it can tank a few if a frailer team member is in. Haze was used extensively for Baton Pass Pokemon and/or set up sweepers, its saved me many times from getting swept and throws a monkey wrench at Baton Passers. I also ran Mirror Coat since I could take hits from Mega Venusaur, Thundurus and OHKO them with it. Recover keeps Milotic fresh and around for as long as possible. Scald is for Burn damage. The only reason I have a Lum Berry is to make sure Milotic doesn't get Poisoned, or Burned. The best status would be Paralysis for Marvel Scale, Poison damage will cause it to have to switch repeatedly or get KO'ed. I maximized its Defense and HP since it already has a solid Special Defense to make it bulky.

charizard-megax.gif

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake

My main sweeper, that I actually sometimes lead with just to see how many Pokemon I can take out. Its really bad to just throw it out and attempt to sweep but I feel that it can throw opponents off guard, and cause them to switch from their leads while Charizard-X is free to set up. Dragon Dance allows it to sweep, one Dragon Dance'd Flare Blitz can take out Clefable and Slyveon relatively easily, it damages Azu pretty well, but not strong enough to kill it. Earthquake gets rid of pesky Steel-types which are sometimes hazardous, Landourus and Sand Rush Excadrill are sometimes problematic to deal with. Its got good coverage against a few things such as Steel and Fire-types but I can't seem to counter Earth Quake or Stone Edge. I maximized its Attack and Speed out so that it can sweep although there are faster mon that can take it out.

heatran.gif

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Lava Plume
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Will-O-Wisp

Just an all out special attacker, the Air Balloon allows it to not get damaged by Ground-type moves, Lava Plume is pretty great for Aegislash and Mega Venu which can be frustrating to kill. Its hard to move around with Heatran cause I fear it may lose its saving grace which is the Air Balloon, so I usually attempt to switch it in if a Pokemon is KO'ed. However if I have to switch it in I will switch it in for Charizard X to avoid Earth Quakes. I added Flash Cannon because I wanted to take out Fairies with Heatran. Its great surprising Sylveon or Clefable with Flash Cannon, and in case of switch ins I have Will-O-Wisp just to Burn opponents before switching out to a safer Pokemon. I maximized HP and Special Attack since its a special attacker, Im thinking about adding Ancient Power but Will-O-Wisp does come in handy as well.

clefable.gif

Clefable @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Fire Blast

Clefable is a set up special sweeper. Usually my late game sweeper, if Zygarde has fainted, its my last option against opponents, I like to set up first then attack, although its horrible when am oppoent's Pokemon is dangling at low HP and I get conflicted on whether or not I want to attack or set up. I gave it a Life Orb since Magic Guard is on it, more fire power is always good especially since it doesn't take damage. Calm Mind is needed as well as Soft-Boiled so that Clefable can set up. Rather than Stored Power, I have Moon Blast and Fire Blast for different reasons. HP and Defense are a must for this, I wanted to be able to have a great Defense since Calm Mind helps Special Defense tremendously.

zygarde.gif

Zygarde @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Extreme Speed

Back up sweeper to Mega Charizard X, Im having a hard time replacing Zygarde since it does have some good use in my team. I think its become a second Dragonite in a sense to me but just with better stats. I gave it a Lum Berry to prevent Outrage confusion, Earthquake usually does a great job at getting rid of Excadrill and Aegislash. I also picked Outrage over a D Claw because its a stronger move and helps Zygarde with sweeping, its a pain to get stuck against a Clefable or Azu when this occurs though, but it does a fairly good job sweeping. Extreme Speed is just great for revenge killing weak worn out Pokemon that may otherwise still be threats. I maxed out Zygardes Speed and Attack like Charizard-X to sweep and outspeed opponents.

conkeldurr.gif

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab
- Mach Punch

Last teammate, usually I use him in whatever cases I need. Conkeldurr is usually either my revenge killer for fairies or just a hit-and-run teammate, I usually switch to Clefable or Milotic to take unnecessary Fairy or special damage. I gave it a Life Orb and Sheer Force so it can hit like a Truck, Drain Punch for the health recovery, Ice for Grass-types, Poison Jab was added cause I wanted to beef my team up against fairies considering I have two Dragons, its great against Clefable and Sylveon, I originally had Knock Off as well but, I scratched it off in favor of Mach Punch, cause it really does need priority against a lot of Pokemon since its speed is very low. I've run Assault Vest before but I feel like it doesn't get enough "umph" for the attacks even with Sheer Force. HP and Attack are important since Conkeldurr is pretty frail against Flying-, Fairy-, and Psychic-types. So I wanted to increase its HP to help it out. Im also unsure of Sheer Force, I want to try out Guts, but I don't want to give up Life Orb, Heatran also likes to take advantage of an opponents Will-O-Wisp so Im still unsure.

With that being said hope you guys have a good idea of my team! Hope the RMT goes well :D

Talking about SR you could add it to your Heatran(take out Flash Cannon), so you can punish your opponent every time he switches. If you do that, a more bulky set is recommended:
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp/ Toxic/ Roar
Guts for Conk is better IMO, none of it's STABs take advantage of Sheer Force, if you think it's unecessary because Heatran can absorb status change to Iron Fist, that will boost Drain Punch, Ice Punch and Mach Punch's power, not sure about Poison Jab, though. Poison Jab could be changed to Knock Off(Scizor would help with Fairies)
You can change Lum Berry on Milotic to Lefties because you have Heatran to absorb Toxic/Burn and Conk if you opt for Guts
I suggest changing Zygarde to Scizor:
Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk/ 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost
This Scizor will relief you weakness to fairies while also providing Defog support(which Char X needs in order to switch in without losing half of its health) and U-turn for momentum

Zekrenzo You make a really good point, I never thought about adding Scizor, but are there any other Pokemon that I could use If I don't manage using Scizor, Im starting to like Scizor as a potential team mate, but I was just curious if there are other replacements for Zygarde, would Landorus-Therian work as an SR setter or nah. In regards to Heatran I think you're probably right as well with that, I do want Stealth Rocks and hazards its just I hate the on going battle of Defog/Rapid Spin vs Hazards with opponents. It sounds like an idiotic point but thats just how I see it sometimes, I probably need to think strategy more rather than complain.

Instead Of Scizor you can use Excadrill with Iron Head EQ Rapid Spin and Rock Slide, but that would increase you weakness to EQ, you can fix that by putting an Air Baloon on him, just be careful with it.
Hazard wars are always a pain, I can see why you don't like it. Keep in mind that you don't need to keep hazards on the opponent's field. Use it when you find time to do so. You can also apply pressure with Char X to prevent the hazards from being removed.
