I've always been the type of player, no matter what game it might be who would gravitate towards having as many options as possible covered. Weather that be characters with good pokes and reversals in fighting games, decks with lots of outs in card games I always strive for balance. As you guys may know, since we are playing pogeymans (especially this gen) Having all your bases covered is easier said than done. This team is the best I could come up with. Lemme know what you think!
Genesect
Item:choice scarf
Nature:Hasty
EV: 252speed, 152 atk, 104 sp atk
U-turn
Iron Head
Ice Beam
Thunder Bolt
Why this thing is even legal again is beyond me, but as long as he is I'll abuse the hell out of it. He scares so many things off with his coverage and still packs a lot of useful resists. He also roughens so many pokemon with his boosted u-turn, revenge killing after the switch is easy as can be.
Talonflame
Nature:Jolly
Ability:Gale Wings
EV: 252 atk, 252speed, 4hp
U-turn
Roost
Acrobatics
Flare Blitz
I usually alternate the role of lead with Genesect and Talonflame (even though Genesect usually gets the honors). Priority acrobatics and Roost are beyond a dream. This set lets me revenge kill with relative ease or set up a kill for another party member. He's not necessarily a Aegislash counter but he sure gives him a lot of trouble.
Celebi
Nature:Modest
Item:Leftovers
EV: 252 sp atk, 220 hp, 32hp
Psychic
Giga Drain
Earth Power
Heal Bell
The Major importance of this poke for me is heal bell, id willingly take suggestions for movepool or ev spread but Heal Bell is here to stay, I never play without a cleric and don't plan on starting today. This being said this pokemon does work fairly well for me. His natural bulk sponges a lot of hits and dishes back with some offence of his own.
Rotom Wash
Item:Leftovers
Nature:Calm
EV's 252 Hp, 252 sp def., 4sp atk
Will-o-wisp
volt switch
Hydro Pump
Pain Split
My special wall (duh) however just saying that does not give him enough justice. Rotom is a counter for common threats like Talonflame and Gliscor, and he sure helps agaist Azumarill (most sets). Volt Switch obviously fits in with my teams theme of switching in to the right matchup and Hydro Pump is there so I can miss and lose the game and get incredibly angry. (you just lost the game)
Gliscor
Nature:Impish
Ability:toxic Heal
Item:toxic orb
Defog
Stealth Rock
Protect
Toxic
Usually Im strongly against a pokemon not having any attacking moves, but I needed rocks and a way to get rid of hazards and im not gonna pick a rapid spinner in a meta where ghost is the dominant attacking type. Defog is absolutely amazing, it takes down both hazards and barriers which is amazing, especially since so many people are using barriers to support belly drum azumarill. This being said Im still kinda iffy on this set, I was thinking about taking off stealth rocks and putting earthquake and just taking earth power off my Celebi and giving that Steath rocks instead but Iono i just like the fact that my poke that takes off hazards is the same one that lays them down. Give me your opinions on this one guys.
Kangashkan
Nature:Adamant
EV: 252 hp, 252atk, 4Spdef
Item: the evolution stone thingy
Return
Power up Punch
Earthquake
Sucker Punch
This thing wrecks teams. I'll go as far to say that its flat out broken. I've never had as much trouble with any other Mega Pokemon as I've had with this little critter so that's why I added him to the team. Once he sets up with those power up punches its a wrap.
Final Comments: The team is pretty good I can't complain but I still feel there is something lacking. Id like to fit a ghost type somewhere in here so I can spam Shadow Ball or Shadow Sneak like the rest of teh pro pogeyman players. I just want to make sure that at the end of the day I still manage to have a cleric and a defoger (hopefully Stealth rocks as well). Any and all suggestions are welcome. And I thank you all dearly for your time!
