First RMT...

hey there,
I have used this website for help with my PO teams for a while now, but could never be bothered to make a account. but now I have one and I can show off the results of my team building...

Team Building Process
right, after a bit of testing on a variety of teams I found a nifty lill Haxorus revenge killer set that seemed to surprise a lot of people, the set was also effective as a late game sweeper. So he is the base for my new team.

now I am a firm believer that pokemon peeked at gen 3, so when i thought of a walling combo, i went straight for skarbliss but after just a few tests it was plain to see this pair were nothing in comparison to jellithorn.

No team is complete without a solid electric electric type, and who better than magnezone he functions as a lovely revenge killer and is a perfect partner in crime for haxorus as he is both dragon and ice resistant

Now this is where the problems start, after putting these 4 pokes in to pokemon marrilands BW team builder it began to yell at me that i had a massive fighting weakness, problem is my team only had 2 spots left and they were reserved for sweepers. So sorted it out with one of the most dangerous special sweepers i have ever seen who has a nifty lill fight type immunity.

finally i need a physical sweeper to add to the entourage, now my favourite physical sweeper has to be breloom if that mushroom gets set up he is very, very hard to stop.

So a finished team? Nope the team is strong on paper but it only has stealth rock/spike support from ferothorn and he is not in early enough to push home the advantage. so i need a lead, someone that knows stealth rock. I considered losing breloom and gaining heatran here, but that opens up a massive fight weakness that gengar can't quite patch on his own. so after a while I finally desided on a infernape lead. using SR and U-turn then i can use it as a sweeper later on.

The Final Team
Spr_5b_392.png

Infernape @ life orb
jolly
evs: att 252/ spe 252/ HP 6
Stealth Rock
U-turn
Flare Blitz
Close Combat
The purpose of this set is to get a stealth rock off, then U-turn out. if it gets hit odds on it will die but the opposing team should only get one chance to hit it and I am praying they will use that turn to set up.

Spr_5b_094.png

Gengar @ choice specs / life orb (suggestions are welcome)
timid
evs: 6 Def/ 252 SpA/252 Spe
shadow ball
focus blast
HP ice
thunderbolt
A massive jellicent counter witch would otherwise wall infernape to pieces (exclusing U-turn) i am never sure weather to go with specs or LO so any suggestions would be great.

598.png

Ferrothorn @ leftovers
relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpDef
spikes
leech seed
gyro ball
power whip
Pretty standard set here, the only variation is I am going with spikes over stealth rock because 95% of the time infernape will have them set up all ready

Spr_5b_593_m.png

jellicent @ leftovers
bold
evs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Recover
surf
energy ball
toxic
Odd set that I have used successfully in the past, there is no need for scald when toxic is in the set, so i opted for the higher power surf. Energy ball is a bit of a surprise, hits water types hard.

Spr_5b_462.png

Magnezone @ air balloon
timid
evs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
substitude
thunderbolt
HP fire
flash canon
The main Ou set traps steal types and gets rid of them with Hp fire can also come in on dragon and ice type moves to make way for haxorus.

Spr_5b_612.png

haxorus @ choice scarf
adamant
evs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
mold breaker
outrage
earthquake
rock slide
x-scissor
This nasty lill set often takes people by surprise especially if there looking for a quick ice beam or dragon pulse, these moves would still kill me but unless im facing something very bulky or something scrafed it gets KO'ed with relative ease

Well this is my first shot at a RMT so if I have missed anything please feel free to ask.

Hello there, Jabberjabber8.1! This is a pretty decent team, but I can certainly see some ways in which it could be improved. Let's get things started, shall we? I can see two Pokemon are that going to give your team alot of trouble: Conkeldurr and TR variants of Reuniclus. Both of these will completely wreck you if they get a chance to set-up and you won't be able to do much besides sit there and watch your team get demolished. However, there is one Pokemon that can handle both of these threats and that is Spiritomb which I'm going to suggest replacing Gengar with. With this set you can hit Conkeldurr with a super-effective Psychic while it can't do anything in return except hit you with Payback which will only have 50 base power seeing as its faster than you. Reuniclus also won't be able to hit you with anything besides Shadow Ball because of Spiritomb's Ghost/Dark-typing.

Looking at the structure of your team it is easy to see that its main goal is to make way for a Haxorus sweep through the elimination of the Steel-types that counter him with Magnezone. I understand the reasoning behind running your current set on Haxorus to score surprise kills, but it just isn't a set that's going to accompish this goal and that needs to be changed. A late-game sweeper is going to want the freedom to switch between moves which is why the standard DD set is suggested here. You get the same boost in Speed after one turn of set-up while also having the advantage of boosting your already massive Attack to extraordinary limits.

Now that Haxorus's set has been changed you are lacking a revenge killer and so my last suggestion is going to be replacing Infernape with a Choice Scarf wielding Victini. The new team preview feature will help alot with this set as you'll be able to look at the structure of your opponent's team and determine if using Trick to cripple something will be better than maintaining your high speed for the purpose of revenge killing. This move was chosen over Zen Headbutt as your team will have a bit of trouble against stall like the Jellithorn combo without Gengar, but hopefully this will help to solve that problem.

Also, make sure to give Nattorei the move Stealth Rock and change Magnezone's item to Leftovers as it shall allow to restore any health lost by using Substitute. Hopefully these suggestions help and good luck using this team.
