XY OU First RMT!

Hello! This is my first rate my team, I built this team around a Lead Terrakion and I tried to see what I could do. As I am not very experienced in Team building, please say that it is terrible at all means. This is a Hyper Offensive team that I got to 1507. So, lets meat the pokemon.

The Team (Rate please)

This is the building process of this team!

First I wanted to build a team around a Terrakion, so I wanted a pokemon to cover alot of its weaknesses, so I added a choice band Talonflame.

Secondly, I thought if i wanted to use a talonflame, i absolutely need a rapid spinner, I know excadrill is the best spinner out there but thats another water weakness, so the next best thing was starmie.

I want my Rocks from my Terrakion to stay on the field, so a spin blocker is needed, I added a SubSplit Gengar so I can takes things out at the same time.

So far Azumarill wrecks me, so i want a sweeper that can deal with Azumarill, Mega Manectric fits the role well, plus it is has switch initiative.

Finally, I needed something that can deal damage to anything and without setting up, Mega Manectric also has the ability to do this but I need something that can also hit on the Physical side.

After all that some people gave me suggestions and Landorus-T works much better with this team and Latias works well as a defogger, replacing Starmie.

Now lets see this teams info

terrakion.gif

EdgeTheStone (Terrakion) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Taunt
- Stone Edge

This pokemon is going to be the lead on my team, and also the pokemon i built it around. This pokemon is a great lead because it can outspeed many things and gets access to Taunt. Its mostly used for setting up rocks but it can deal damage with STAB Close Combat and Stone Edge. Jolly to outspeed other leads (Baring Greninja) Taunt is mostly used to stop other pokemon setting up rocks and spikes, but it can also be used to Stop defogers like Mandibuzz and Skarmory.

talonflame.gif

Yep... (Talonflame) @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Tailwind
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

Talonflame covers most of Terrakions weaknesses accept water. It is the revenge killer on my team and it is probably the best one in OU. It has FB and BB as its powerful STAB moves and U-turn for switch initiative. And the reason I run jolly is to take out Thundurus with FB, because my team has a hard time dealing with it. I chose tailwind just as something to use when it is going to faint soon, like a Final Gambit.

252 Atk Choice Band Talonflame Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 285-336 (95.3 - 112.3%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

latias.gif

Unexpected (Latias) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock

Latias is my Defogger for my team. This pokemon has great offensive power AND at the same time it can Defog all of the hazards away + Screens. Screens arent all that common but they are very annoying when they accually come out. Timid nature is to get the defog out first and Psyshock is to deal with chansey special walls that try to stop me. HP fighting is to get rid of those nasty dark types (Bisharp and Tyranitar) and Dragon pulse is just for pure damage.

gengar.gif

ShareMyPain (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

This pokemon works well with this team because it can block rapid spins, but that isnt its main role. I decided to use this pokemon for its ability to recover its HP while doing damage, all behind a sub. My team does need Ghost coverage to take out Slowbro, (If it has psyshock it needs to be behind a sub) Defensive Gothitelle and Mew. I Run 29 HP IV's to get the least out of Life Orb damage. Also, forcing switches with Sub can give me a Huge advantage and can score me lots of damage and a few KO's.

manectric.gif

STRIKE! (Manectric) @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat
- Volt Switch

This mega is a key part of my team to deal with Azumarill, as it wrecks me. This is my Mega Manectric and this thing works with talonflame as a VoltTurn combo, Talonflame can deal with ground types (Manectric can deal with Landorus-I/T) and Manectric can deal with Water and can gain the Lighting Rod boost with electric types. I chose this pokemon over Mega Venusaur because it can sweep as Mega Venusaur cant. It runs Overheat to deal with Grass types that my team is partially weak to. HP Ice is to deal with Ground types that Talonflame can't handle, or if you have no chance to switch.

252 SpA Mega Manectric Hidden Power Ice vs. 244 HP / 192+ SpD Gliscor: 248-296 (70.4 - 84%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal

landorus-therian.gif

ScarfTho? (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Superpower

This was a suggestion from Cinna the Poet. I decided to use it because it has great offensive power and can knock off items and switch out with u-turn when ever it wants, and most of Landorus-T are Scarf which makes them expect that. Earthquake is for STAB and also its the only ground move I have on this team. Knock off is to help stop pokemon like chansey. And speaking of chansey, Superpower. With this adamant banded set, it has good odds of OHKOing a Chansey with no HP EV's. And even if they do run HP, you can either knock off the item by predicting the switch in and then OHKO, or just hope for the 25% OHKO Or just 2HKO. This pokemon has an important spot on this team because it is the best Physical attacker on my team.

Thank you to Cyndequil from Competitive tutoring for helping me make my first team to go on RMT.
This was created on my Birthday just to say, so please leave suggestions for this team and it will make my day!

Special Lanodrus is NOT the way to go. Make it a Landorus-T thats Adamant, with a Band and EQ, Knock Off, U-Turn, and... Go crazy with this last one. Also, if you want a way to remove hazards and are open to switching Starmie without losing a Pokemon with offensive potential even with 252 HP / 252 Spe, then I'd reccomend Latias. It can take quite a few special hits and has Defog, plus it can set up Reflect and Light Screen, although thats not a necessary choice. If you do choose Defog plus the screens, I'd reccomend Psyshock or Psychic to fill the last slot. The EV spread I'm thinking of would be along the lines of 184 HP / 72 SpA / 252 Spe, just to make sure it can take a few hits and still dole out decent damage, and with Timid, so its almost guaranteed to get off a screen (I know i sead this was optional, but id really reccomend it, it holds a massive surprise factor, and works extremely well with a Light Clay)

Here is the set:

Latios @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 184 HP / 72 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Psyshock / Psychic

Hope I helped!

Never with latios do that moveset on latias since it has more bulk. Landorous therian thats physical is way better and is a core.

Thanks for Helping! Im gonna edit the team and test it out now!

BTW, I'd make that Talonflame Adamant, so it can hit harder. Tbh you're probably just gonna spam BB most of the time, so that extra attack really helps.
I always felt making that Talonflame adamant was a good idea, but when I tested it out I sort of had nothing to take thundurus. I dont seem to feel the screens on Latias because only having psyshock makes it easily walled by dark types and any other thing that resists it. Can you recommend any other sets?

Hmmmm. I guess you could try and fit a HP Fire in there somewhere on Latias as really the only Dark type of note in the OU meta is Bisharp, but Latias isn't really supposed to be one of your heavy hitters, she's really just meant to come in, set up screens, and switch out. Psyshock is just to make sure it can actually hit things as then you're wasting it's offensive potential.
