First RMT!

So I decided to try out Pokemon battling just because I'm bored. This is the best I can come up with so far with my basic understanding of the game. But don't take that to mean that I don't want technical advice, because I do.

Anyway, here goes:

pic_12.jpg

Lead Machamp (Female even though it's weird, cuz I found some random attract abusers)

@Lum Berry
No Guard/Adamant
240 HP / 248 Atk / 16 SpD / 4 Spe

DynamicPunch
Payback
Ice Punch
Bullet Punch

This guy, er, girl is pretty tough to counter, I mean even if they switch in something like a Flying or Psychic type that resists dynamicpunch, they still get confused, and then I can usually switch in something else on my team or keep attacking with Machamp depending on the pokemon.

heatran_fire.png

Lead Heatran

@Shuca Berry
Flash Fire/Naive
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Stealth Rock
Fire Blast
Explosion
Earth Power

This dude is awesome! I find so many opportunities to make use of his Flash fire and steel typing to get some free stealth rocks up, or to just do great damage against teams that I feel I need to move as fast as possible to defeat.

Starmie.jpg

Starmie

@Life Orb
Natural Cure/Timid
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Hydro Pump
ThunderBolt
Psychic
Rapid Spin

Being somebody who began pokemon with RBY, I have a natural tendency to gravitate towards Starmie. Even in this new generation of games, I feel that she still has what it takes to blow through a lot of pokemon. As an added bonus, I have rapid spin in case I really need it. I chose Psychic over Ice Beam because I specifically have problems with other lead Machamps, as well as Heracross and...Breloom. Actually I still haven't found a good way to deal with Breloom, so that's definitely an area I'll need some advice for.
scizor1--article_image.jpg

Scizor

@Choice Band
Technician/Adamant
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe

U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Superpower

Baits Fire Type attacks, scouts for me, deals with annoyances like opposing Starmie and Gengar (though I have to play guessing games if the gengar has HP fire, and sometimes I get caught off guard), and does some decent revenge killing. I really like his typing and synergy with Heatran and Starmie - the former sets up rocks to make scizors work easier, and the latter removes rocks so I can worry a little bit less about switching him in. Yeah, I ripped that off the strategy pokedex, but it made sense, and I've actually found that it's quite useful. the point of this RMT is for people to help with stuff the strategy dex can't help me with. :)

Cheshire_Cat_4.jpg

Gengar

@Life Orb
Levitate/Timid
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Substitute
Pain Split
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast

Honestly I'm not sure if this guy should be on my team, since I already have Starmie, and Gengar doesnt really help with any of my common type weaknesses (though he probably does help with some specific pokemon). This is one team member that I'm going to need the most help with, as I might be replacing him.

Celebi.jpg

Celebi

@Leftovers
Natural Cure/Bold
252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe

Grass Knot
Thunder Wave
Recover
HP Ice

I'm not sure I have a good reason to have Celebi on my team, but from what I've noticed, he seems to bait more Fire-type attacks, kills Gyarados which is nice, and allows me a safe switch in so that I can soften things up with Thunder Wave to allow my Life Orb sweepers to better do their job (I hate Choice Scarfers). Incidentally, one of my major problems is Flygon, since he is immune to thunder wave, and often carries a choice scarf. So, I added HP Ice. Things can get nasty when he knows Crunch though, but then I am free to switch into Heatran or Scizor.

I seem to have trouble with pokemon that have very high special defense, and my only real ways to soften them up is with Heatran's Explosion or Scizor's Superpower.

:\

Well, this concludes my first OU RMT, and my first RMT period. <- I think it's funny when people end a sentence with "period" even though sentences already have a period at the end. :P

Technical advice on how to play this team better would be great, as well as the obvious RMT conventions of critiquing my EV spreads, attacks, held items, and even my choices of pokemon.

Thanks for reading!

Your team has a bad Lucario problem. If it gets a SD up, it can KO everything on your team. Your only solution at the moment is revenge killing it with Gengar's Focus Blast and swear to god it hits. I propose a simple solution to this problem. Change Pain Split to HP Fire. Now you have more of a reliable way of killing Lucario.

I think this is a very good team
Problems with it are that some of ur guys share weak points like dark with starmie celebi and gengar
I would suggest pokemon that cover these weaknesses
Very creative pics though

I Dont Think Scizor Is Need Here,You Can Use Scarf Flygon As For Revenge And Be Your Ground And Electric Immunities..As For Gengar,Use Rotom-H To Counter Physical Attackers...No Time To Post ev's Now..Later :)

GOod LUCK!

Couple problems I noticed that I have:

1.) Suicune, it can be almost impossible to take down once it has a Calm Mind or two

2.) Scarf Rotom, I have no way to beat it if it doesnt get Paralyzed by Celebi

3.) Jolteon. I have no Electric immunity, and he usually carries shadow ball and signal beam which rapes at least 3 of my pokes.

Any suggestions?

As I Said,Use Flygon And Rotom-H,Here Are The Movesets:

Flygon
@ Choice Scarf

Ability:Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- ThunderPunch
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Outrage

Rotom-w @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Trick
- Hydro Pump

Thunderbolt Do a Hell Lot TO Suicune Even He Does Cm's..You Can Use Trick Against Walls Like Skarmory And Blissey.

You Might Not Need Celebi Now,You Can Use Vaporeon Or WishCM Jirachi To Heal Your Pokemon :D.

Good Luck!

Actually it is needed, it works great with Heatran if it's still alive. [Scizor attracts Fire attacks, Heatran absorbs them.]

And Gengar works great with Heatran to avoid nasty Earthquakes.

Also, i suggest giving Celebi Stealth Rock [if its even needed] and using ScarfTran set.

Umm,I Actually Know Bout Scizor Attracting Fire Attacks,But Its Too Predictable >_>...So No..Plus,He Have a Suicune And Jolteon Weakness,So Scarftran Isnt Doing Anything.But Still,Replace Scizor

It's like saying a Flygon isn't too predictable, we all know almost all the people use the Scout Scarfer set, but still, good point.

Vaporeon will probably fix the Suicune problem, but will give it more time to set up with Calm Minds.

So yeah, Flygon and Rotom-H are the best choices if you're replacing Scizor.
