So, I'm not really a battling master in the Competitive Scene. In fact, everything needed (such as prediction skills and the sort) is very amateur. I did however make a team that I am somewhat pleased with. I'm not really sure about the exact EV spread and stuff, but I do know the items that I would put on each one of them, and of course, the Pokemon used. But enough intro, here's the team.(If I don't put info like the Nature, it means that I forgot)
Blastoise (Mega)
Ability: Torrent/Mega Launcher
Item: Blastoisinite
Super Trained mainly in Special Attack, Sp.Defense, and HP
Moves: Aura Sphere, Aqua Jet, Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse.
So, this would be my Bulky Special Sweeper. He has good staying power with only two weaknesses and his defenses are quite good. I know that this is a pretty standard set in the metagame, but the coverage options given make it still viable no matter how predictable it may/may not be. The fact that it only has 2 weaknesses is not that bad also.
Raikou*
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Rash
Item: Choice Scarf (don't have yet, working on that)Super Trained in Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed
Moves: Aura Sphere, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Calm Mind
Ok, this one is really special to me. Not only is it because it's one of my top 3 favorite Pokemon, but it's also from Gen 4 originally, being a longtime partner in my playthroughs of Pokemon. The purpose of Raikou in this strategy is to be the Fast Special Sweeper. Having STAB Thunderbolt for that powerful hit (Thunder is also an option, but I don't like the possibility of missing), Aura Sphere is the special move that came with the Gen 4 release which is really good coverage against Earthquakers like Escadrill and physically bulky tanks like Aggron/Mega Aggron and Steelix/Mega Steelix. Shadow Ball for the Aegislash/Gengars that may arise, and Calm Mind for the boosts in Special Attack and Defense.
Infernape
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Blaze (maybe I should turn it to Iron Fist)
Item: Life Orb
Super Trained in Attack and Speed
Moves: Close Combat, Flare Blitz, Poison Jab
So, this one is pretty self-explanatory, Infernape is a Fast Physical Sweeper to demolish the competition before they can attack back. I have Close Combat and Flare Blitz for some nice STAB hits, Grass Knot is for coverage against Water Types such as Swampert rather than Thunderpunch, which can get countered and then subsequently blown back by Pokemon like Gastrodon, Swampert and Seismitoad, all of which are threats in their own rights. Then Poison Jab for Fairy Coverage. The move may not work against steel types, but I also have Flare Blitz and Close Combat for that.
Togekiss
Nature: Modest
Ability: Serene Grace
Item: Razor Claw
Super Trained in Speed and Special Defense
Moves: Thunder Wave, Roost, Dazzling Gleam, Air Slash
This is the standard Togekiss set for OU. Thunder Wave to paralyze and effectively give myself Priority (though that doesn't apply all the time). Roost for that 50% heal, Dazzling Gleam for the stab Fairy move and Air Slash for the flinch (which effects have a boosted chance of occurring due to the Serene Grace and Razor Claw.
Garchomp
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Sand Veil (Working on getting an Ability Capsule for Rough Skin)
Item: Rocky Helmet
Super Trained in Attack, Special Attack and Speed
Moves: Stealth Rock, Draco Meteor, Iron Head, Earthquake
The reason that I have Stealth Rocks on this is for it to be a Surprise Stealth Rocker, then into a Physical Sweeper. Draco Meteor is just for Dragon coverage (as well as STAB) and Iron Head is for Fairy/Ice Coverage. Earthquake takes the Attack of an Adamant Garchomp, as well as the STAB to decimate the opposition.
Forretress
Ability: Sturdy
Item: Air Balloon
Super Trained in Special Defense and Defense
Moves: Spikes, Toxic, Rapid Spin, Earthquake/ Rapid Spin
So, basically, Forretress is my status/hazard setter, the bulk that Forretress provides allows at least 2 layers of spikes and a couple Poison statuses. Also, Rapid Spin allows Stealth Rocks and Spikes to be eradicated. Earthquake allows a fighting chance against Fire Types, however TalonFlame would be a problem if Forretress and it get sent out at the same time.
So, all in all, that is my team. Is it good?
