First Stall Team!

Stall Team

This is my first real stall team that I have ever actually attempted and it's actually going surprisingly well for me considering I have no experience in stall, but it does have it's weaknesses so I'm open to suggestions.

So lets get on with it, here's the team:

Changes will be in RED

Nidoqueen:

Nidoqueen (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic Spikes
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock

So this is my lead, Nidoqueen obviously her main priority is to setup Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock, Taunt leads can wreck her but I generally switch to something else to take the Taunt. Set-up leads can be phased out before they even attempt to attack me ie. Cloyster. She generally does well against most common leads and at least gets up her T-Spikes or Stealth Rock depending on what I think's better for the team I'm placing.

Milotic:

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 4 SAtk / 12 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Dragon Tail

This is my favourite and probably most reliable phazer, she performs well in nearly all my matches and for unprepared teams is almost unstoppable. Scald attempts to stop any Physical Attackers that resist or are immune to Toxic Spikes, while Rest boosts Milotic's already decent defence even higher combined with Sleep Talk so I'm not a sitting duck. The key move here though is Dragon Tail so I can phase everything I can and do it with higher priority while Sleep Talking. Importantly Milotic also takes any Ice Attacks aimed at my team.

Zapdos:

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Lightningrod
EVs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic

If Nidoqueen does fail Zapdos can still spread the Poison around apposing teams, and can also Poison flying/levitating Pokemon. This also acts as my Electric absorber with LightningRod seen as I have two Electric weaknesses on my team. Sub + Roost stalls Pokemon with Toxic and Thunderbolt stops it being Taunt fodder although I have been considering giving Zapdos Roar.

Skarmory:

200px-227Skarmory.png

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind

A standard Skarmory set, walls most Dragons, the main purpose of this set is obviously to set-up Spikes then cause as much annoyance walling Physical Attackers and phazing Pokemon to wrack up hazards damage. I can also use this to bait Electric moves for Zapdos to absorb allowing Zapdos the potential to sweep with it's T-bolt. Not really much else I can say about Skarmory.

Dragonite:

Hai. It's Dragonite.

Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 204 SDef / 52 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Tail
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

A standard bulky Dragonite set, it's main purpose is to shut down fast sweepers and also phase with Multiscale + Roost. I'm not entirely certain on this set, it does it's job but not amazingly well, i'm not sure if i'm just using the set wrong or if it just dosen't fit my play style. Any suggestions would be great.

Celebi:
200px-251Celebi.png

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Perish Song
- Heal Bell
- Recover

This set's a bit different to the standard Celebi set and aims to be a Cleric and a Phazer in one, Perish Song forces switches and helps me to stop sweepers, while Heal Bell aims to cure my team of status problems. Recover keeps Celebi alive to continue it's role on my team. Celebi and Milotic also have quite nice synergy together. Grass Knot stops me being taunt bait and also is a decent stab move for bulky waters.

Considerations:

Jirachi (?)

Jirachi could fill a role as a Wish Passer and a generally annoying Pokemon with ParaFlinch, but I can't see where to fit it in or what to replace.

So, thats my team any suggestions and/or comments would be great as this team is far from perfect.

mabye dragonite doesn't fit you because you're using toxic spikes? That set is best used with only spikes and SR, since it relys on thunder wave for quick subs and roost, which doesn't work if the opponent is poisoned
