First team - doing pretty well!

EDITS ARE IN BOLD.

Typhlosion @Salac Berry (Axel)
Naughty, Blaze
-Eruption
-Substitute
-Reversal
-Flamethrower
128 Atk / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
My lead serves a dual purpose: kill other leads with Eruption, and switch out when up against something resistant to Fire. Later, use Crobat’s U-Turn to send him back in, Sub down, activate Salac, and sweep with Reversal and Blaze-boosted Flamethrower. Using him as a lead is actually quite useful (if the opponent’s lead isn’t holding Focus Sash), as he can often one-shot most of them. He's really more of an anti-lead, now that I think about it. He mostly kills the opponent's lead before they can set up SR or do something else annoying.

Ludicolo @Damp Rock (Ludiloco)
Modest, Swift Swim
-Rain Dance
-Surf
-Grass Knot
-Ice Beam
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Ludi kills most of what Axel can’t. When he sets up Rain Dance, he becomes a total beast. He 6-0ed my first battle (it was a UU team as well), 5 kills being his and 1 Axel’s; I’m keeping him.

Marowak @Thick Club (Elora)
Jolly, Rock Head
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Fire Punch
-ThunderPunch
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
El kills slow threats pretty easily, like T-Tar and Machamp (well, weakens the latter). Normally she works as a sacrifice so Zexion or Crobat can revenge-kill. She has ThunderPunch instead of Sing or Double-Edge because Gyarados has been giving me pains (although I don’t think she’s fast enough to kill it; any suggestions?)
I think I might try replacing her with a Medicham, it's faster although at the cost of some attack. Losing Earthquake will also hurt a bit, though quadruple damage on T-Tar won't.

Medicham @Salac Berry
Jolly, Pure Power
-Brick Break
-Psycho Cut
-Ice Punch
-ThunderPunch
4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

I really don't like Choice items. This will do.

Absol @Scope Lens (Zexion)
Adamant, Super Luck
-Swords Dance
-Sucker Punch
-Superpower
-Psycho Cut
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Zexion revenge-kills when El’s gone down, especially against an EQ-weakened Machamp. They can’t resist attacking a Dark-type and consequently activating Sucker Punch. Then he can set up and sweep, hopefully.

Claydol @Leftovers (Claydol)
Bold, Levitate
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
-Shadow Ball
252 HP / 144 Def / 114 SpA
Claydol’s here for when SR is being a pain. While it’s out, it also sets up my own SR. Then it proceeds to weaken something and die. Usually I’ve fainted the opponent’s SR user by now.

Crobat @Leftovers (Crobat)
Jolly, Inner Focus
-Hypnosis
-Roost
-U-Turn
-Aerial Ace/ Brave Bird
124 HP / 132 SpA / 252 Spe
Crobat revenge-kills and lets Axel back in with U-Turn. Roost is there because I want her to live, but if I have Roost I’m thinking I might as well run Brave Bird over Aerial Ace. The Flying move is there for STAB or to kill off Machamp. I wonder how much Brave Bird would do against Gyarados…

Fire
Water/ Grass
Ground or Psychic/ Fighting
Dark
Psychic/ Ground
Poison/ Flying

…Apparently I am still weak to Bug moves with Medicham. I will attempt to play around Gyarados.

Note: If you think a team member must be replaced, keep in mind why they're there and please let your replacement fill that role as well.

I'm also trying to keep my team below OU, although if an OU Pokemon is completely unavoidable, then state your reasons for replacing who with what and please explain well.

I enjoy using this team in OU. I like to be where the difficult matches are. I'm not saying that those in UU aren't difficult, but for some reason it's a lot easier to find an OU match than a UU match.

Pretty offensive team, but do typhlosion and ludicolo really work well togheter? Ludicolo's rain dance will lower typhelosion's fire moves, and make water attacks even more powerfull.
As for gyrados, he'ss pretty annoying, but the good thing is that he's predictable. His set will good as always be a dragon dance set, so a good strategy might be using haze or roar/wirlwind on a deffensive poke.
For what I know, it's not easy to list a counter for gyra, but you can normaly play around it. Good physical walls can stop him with wisp, like dusknoir, or try to kill him while taking hits (which is risky).

This team is totally UU, and I'm confused as to why you're playing it in OU. I especially have trouble believing you swept 5 whole Pokemon with a Ludicolo. That doesn't happen, dude.

Anyway, hate to burst your bubble, but Marowak really isn't very good. Thick Club gives him a ton of attack, but he's so easy to kill. I suggest Medicham instead. Maybe give it a choice scarf. He still kills Tyranitar easily, and he has the added bonus of STAB Zen Headbutt or Psycho Cut.

Typhlosion isn't fast enough to pull off enough subs to activate salac and blaze...he'll get killed before he can do it. I feel like he should fit some other role rather than a Reversal sweeper.

Other than that the team seems pretty solid.

If your going to use any of those as a lead (especially in OU) I suggest running Crobat as a hypnosis lead. I user yanmega and it works great.

I'm sorry; I should have clarified. I went back to check the log and it was a UU team that was swept, not OU, which I can understand why you don't believe it. (I'll edit it so no one else gets the wrong message)

I understand that Elora isn't as good as I probably made her sound, so I will take your advice and try working with Medicham for a while. As for Axel's speed, I should probably fit an Agili-Passer in to help with that, or maybe I could use Blaziken for Reversal. Does that sound good?

Pretty offensive team, but do Typhlosion and Ludicolo really work well together? Ludicolo's rain dance will lower Typhlosion's fire moves, and make water attacks even more powerfull.

I don't normally send Typhlosion out while it's still Raining. I think I'll try what Xephyr suggested and run Medicham over Marowak; sound like a good idea? And yeah, I'll eventually figure a way to play around Gyarados.

Thanks for your input!
