First Team: Drizzle (hopefully not cliche)

Hi all,

This is my first team ever, and so far it's been doing pretty well. The main problem I'm having is combating other teams (usually Sand teams, and Ferrothorn in general seems to be hard to deal with for me). I would love any and all criticism that could make my team better.

1) Politoed- Specs, Drizzle, Modest
Moves: Hydro Pump, HP Grass, Focus Blast, Ice Beam
Stats: 252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SpD
Notes: Pretty standard Politoed set from what I've heard, packs a punch under Drizzle. Kind of fails against Ttar :P

2) Ferrothorn- Leftovers, Iron Barbs, Relaxed
Moves: Power Whip, Leech Seed, Thunder Wave, Gyro Ball
Stats: 252 HP, 88 Def, 168 SpD
Notes: I love this guy, and I really, really love Thunder Wave. I'm considering switching Leech seed for either spikes or rocks, but I'm not too sure yet.

3) Toxicroak- Black Sludge, Dry Skin, Adamant
Moves: Substitute, Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Ice Punch
Stats: 244 HP, 132 Atk, 120 Def, 12 Spe
Notes: I really like Toxicroak in the rain too, because he functions well as my only physical sweeper. However, I'm more than happy to replace him with a better rain physical, if there exists one.

4) Latias- Leftovers, Levitate, Timid
Moves: Roost, Calm Mind, Dragon Pulse, Psyshock
Stats: 252 HP, 4 SpA, 252 Spe
Notes: Latias actually has AMAZING synergy with Ferrothorn, it's quite cool. While Ferro is good at just tanking things and spreading statuses, Latias when set up can be one of my best sweepers. This thing is a beast that can just maul stuff.

5) Vaporeon- Leftovers, Hydration, Bold
Moves: Rest, Roar, Scald, Toxic
Stats: 248 HP, 252 Def, 8 Spe
Notes: Vaporeon is easily the star player of the team. Hydration-rest Vap is an amazing combo that almost never gets crushed. If I'm worried that she'll go down, I just Roar. Roar also helps to spread Toxic around. As long as the rain keeps going, Vaporeon is incredibly consistent with Ferro and Latias to form a deadly defense trio.

6) Jolteon- Expert Belt, Volt Absorb, Timid
Moves: Thunder, Volt Switch, Signal Beam, HP Ice
Stats: 4 Def, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Notes: Now Jolteon is a bit of a problem. I'm not sure what to do with this guy, so I just decided to use the slot for a fast, easily escaping Thunder abuser. Truthfully, I haven't found much success with this guy, because he's frail as hell. I've tried all sorts of items too, and nothing seems to work.

So there you have it, my rain team. Defensively it's pretty much set with the Latias-Ferrothorn-HydraVap combo. Offensively though, it could definitely use some work. I've pretty much never lost against a non-weather team, because the beatdown is pretty hard and fast, but because I don't have incredibly strong Physical OR Special attackers, I'm average/above average at best against other weather teams (except Rain teams, for some reason).

Maybe I just need better offensive hurricane/thunder abusers, or something among those lines. I'm not really sure, and I guess we'll find out.

I hate to double-post, but I have a question:

Would Breloom work better than Toxicroak, maybe?

And would Keldeo, Dragonite, Tornadus, Thundurus, or Gyarados work better than Jolteon?

Hello there. Please read the RMT Posting rules before you post. You need at least 3 lines of informative description for each pokemon. While not required, a picture or gif of each pokemon would be nice.

Like the above poster said, you really need to add to the descriptions in this thread. 3 lines is generally recommended, so try to expand on why you chose each Pokemon, its set, and what specific role it plays on your team.

PM me your updated descriptions and I will unlock this thread.
