First Team Ever

Flygon w/ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Outrage
- Giga Drain
- U-turn
- Fire Punch

Fire punch deals with grass and ice types, Outrage is a good main attack with STAB, Giga Drain is for water and rock types, and U-turn is for scouting. Flygon is my lead, I hope that's a good choice. I'm using Flygon as a scout offensive thing. I think this is a pretty good set but I'm not sure.

Sceptile w/ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Spd / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Swords dance will allow Sceptile to sweep quite well. Leaf Blade is the main STAB move. Earthquake is good against steel, fire, and poison type pokemon, while rock slide has a super effective bonus against ice types. There's not very many good grass type pokemon in UU, I suppose Sceptile is the best.

Heracross w/ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Sleep Talk

Yes, choice scarf Heracross. Overused, and with good reason. Again, STAB moves and stone edge to deal with flying and fire types. Sleep talk is for all those sleep inducing pokemon in UU (I don't know if there's actually that many)

Arcanine.png

Arcanine w/ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Wild Charge
- Morning Sun

Morning Sun is a good recovery move, and Wild Charge deals with water types and Crobat. ExtremeSpeed is a useful move, and Flare Blitz is a good main attack with STAB. I know this set doesn't counter all of Arcanine's weaknesses, but it's good enough (I think)

Crobat w/ Black Sludge
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 176 HP / 192 Atk / 136 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Roost
- Toxic

Brave Bird is the main move of this set with STAB, and roost serves as recovery. Taunt is pretty self-explanatory (I hope) and toxic serves as a way to get the HP of the pokemon down that resist Brave Bird. I didn't really know what to put here but Crobat seemed popular.

Bisharp w/ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 188 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

I admit this isn't the best set, with only one physical move. But hey, Stealth Rock is good, and Swords Dance will allow Bisharp to sweep through teams that don't resist Iron Head. Substitute will allow Bisharp to stay in the game for awhile.

So yes, I admit this probably isn't the best team. This is my first team ever, so I apologize if this is bad. I would very much appreciate suggestions. Thank you!

This is a good team, especially for your first one. Here are some things that I think will help make it better:

Giga Drain on Flygon is just not a good idea. The last thing you want to get Flygon locked into is a very weak Giga Drain, its just asking for people to set up on it. A super effective Giga Drain will actually do less damage than a neutral Outrage, due to STAB and the greater base power of Outrage. Earthquake should definitely replace Giga Drain.

Your Bisharp needs to go. Bisharp is only good because of Sucker Punch, and even then any good team will have a way to deal with it.

I've noticed your team is also very succeptable to Water type attacks, with only one pokemon resistant to it. I think an Empoleon would be a good replacement for Bisharp. It has access to Stealth Rock, good bulk with a steel typing, and a good special attack stat as well. You can check Empoleon's smogon page for sets if you want, but I think this set may work well for your team:
Empoleon (F) @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 164 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 88 Spd
Modest Nature
- Surf/Scald
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock

Hope this is helpful for you, and good luck!

TLDR:
Flygon: Giga Drain --> Earthquake
Bisharp --> Empoleon

Another thought I just had would be to replace one of Sceptile's attacks with Acrobatics and give it a flying gem and change its ability to Unburden. This is just speculation however, but in theory once you get up a Swords Dance and fire off a super powered Acrobatics you would then double your speed and be able to outspeed everything in the tier.

Sceptile w/ Flying Gem
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Spd / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Earthquake/Acrobatics
- Rock Slide/Acrobatics
