SV DOU First team in format, want opinions

First team that I built on my own. Been able to get right under 1500 on DOU Ladder with it and looking for criticisms to help make it better. I'll include a little blurb about why i chose these pokemon and movesets.


Chi-Yu @ Focus Sash
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Protect​

Chi-yu is mainly here to drop the sp. def. of pokemon so that walking wake or heatran can try and secure big knockouts, this with sun makes for the ability to one shot quite a bit from my experience. Sash helps it so that i can withdraw the mon and get another s. def. drop if needed in the late game.

Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Steam
- Protect
- Draco Meteor​

Walking wake i chose as i needed water coverage and it also is able to hit other mons like Goodra-H for super effective damage. I chose choice specs and have been able to see success with it. Flamethrower is there as coverage against grass types.

Tornadus @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tailwind
- Bleakwind Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Sunny Day​

Tornadus is here for speed control and sun setup. I chose covert cloak to help pair more favorably against rillaboom and iron hands, to try and stop fakeout and secure the tailwind or sunny day. I put sludge bomb as a coverage move against fairy types and tera grass heatran.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Tera Blast
- Protect​

Heatran is here just due to the survivability and damage that i have been able to get with it. I chose leftovers so that I could run protect and have some more sustainability on the field.

Iron Hands @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Thunder Punch
- Drain Punch
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch​

Iron hands I have mainly used to take out water and flying mon. I chose my moveset so that I can still go for a super effective hit against a mon like Landorus who Iron hands would usually struggle against.

Flutter Mane @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 220 HP / 212 SpA / 4 SpD / 72 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Power Gem
- Protect​

Flutter mane is here just due to how powerful the mon feels. Wanted it to be fairly bulky while still able to secure big damage from dazzling gleam and tera fairy. Sun also helps if I need to withdraw flutter, with sun I can reactivate my protosynthesis.
