VGC First Team, Need Help! VGC REG-G

Hey guys, this is my first time making a VGC team and I would love some help tuning it. Any and all feedback is needed! The main idea is to lead with Ninetales-Alola and Incineroar to set up intimidate and Veil then to switch to Kyurem-White to hopefully sweep. The fourth slot is more matchup dependent. Amoonguss is to stall and be overall annoying to give my Kyurem-White more time to kill. Great Tusk is an alternative sweeper to Kyurem-White and often just spams earthquake. Iron Hands is mainly for Urshifu.

Alright so, interesting idea you have got going on here for your first team. I'll try to help figure out match ups and any potential replacements to help in said match ups, and see where it goes from there.

  • Snow is rather under explored at the moment, but I can see it working. It is rather delicate though, as the entirety of your bulk is weather dependent. Not to mention, Ice is horrible as a defensive typing, when you have the likes of Zacian, Zamazenta, and Koraidon wrecking havoc. Thankfully, Tera is a thing so we can set that aside for now.
  • You lack speed control. Any decent Tailwind offense teams can sweep you, as your team is rather straight forward and frail. Opposing Tornadus with Rain Dance, or Pelipper/Koraidon switch-in can really mess up your momentum.
  • Your only Amoonguss immunity is, Amoonguss itself right now. A TR team setting up Trick Room with Amoonguss is a death sentence for your team.
  • Calyrex-Shadow with support can out speed you in Tailwind, as well as set up Nasty Plot and quickly sweep you.
These issues are rather fixable to an extent:

  • Farigiraf > Great Tusk: Great Tusk doesn't contribute much here at all, and is very frail. Not to mention, you don't have any Ground-resist/immune to take advantage of Earthquake. You want to be able to hit your opponent during the turns snow is up. Farigiraf helps with that. It also provides you Speed control with Trick Room to act against faster teams, as well as provide Helping Hand support. Interestingly, you could run Safety Goggles with Uproar so your team can function in TR against an Amoonguss. Just an idea you could try out. You can try Tera Fire Farig for better Sun matchup.
  • Assault Vest > Choice Scarf on Kyurem-W: In screens, you can comfortable tank a couple of Astral Barrages from Calyrex-Shadow, while maintaining move flexibility. This also really helps the Miraidon matchup once you get Veil up and going. Tera Fire is a fine Tera for Kyurem-W, so keep it for now.
  • Safety Goggles > Sitrus Berry on Incineroar: Like I mentioned above, you don't have much of a play against Amoonguss once Trick Room is up. Goggles helps a lot. You could even run Taunt on Incineroar > Flare Blitz to see how it works out.
  • Helping Hand/Blizzard > Snowscape, and Covert Cloak > Light Clay on A-Ninetales: Longer turns of Veil won't matter if you are unable to set it up. Kyurem-W hits very hard, so it's advisable to take maximum advantage of the given turns instead of relying on extended turns by sacrificing set up opportunities. Manual Snow using Ninetales-A is slow. Very slow. You are better of running an offensive move or Helping Hand to take advantage of Kyurem-W's offensive prowess.
  • Try Bloodmoon > Iron Hands: Since you are running Farigiraf, you could try out Bloodmoon for a TR mode. Makes the team more flexible in playstyle while giving you a solid switch in to Astral Barrage, as well as providing you with a strong attacker to use against opposing TR teams.
  • Regenerator > Effect Spore on Amoonguss: I assume this was an error on your part, but yeah. Regenerator is too good for longevity.
  • Amoonguss EVs: Run 236 HP / 156 Def / 116 SpD Bold Nature. More evenly spread out, and tanks Chien-Pao Ice Spinner.
  • Incineroar EVs: I'm not recommending you one EV spread here, as Inci EV's comes from team requirements which you have to figure out after testing the team. I would run atleast 84 Spe EV's to hit a stat of 91, which is nice.
  • A tip: Always keep the EV values (4 + 8n) for VGC. So you gain 1 stat point for the first 4 EV, and then you gain points for every additional 8 EVs. Eg: Ninetales EVs would be: 252 HP/ 4 SpA/ 252 Spe
Feel free to try out these changes. Hope this helps, good luck!
