DISCLAIMER: I am using this team for fighting with friends and battle spot and random people over the internet on my Omega Ruby game. I am using Drought on Ninetails, so get over it. I put down 2 alternative Pokemon at the end in case they flow better with my team and I still have the same only x2 weak to one type overall.

I made this team using some of my favorite Pokemon that are strong and making sure I had a mix of at least 2 Pokemon generations. I don't plan to use this team in online tournaments. I would like to hear any suggestions on moves, items, and possible other strategies for this team. Thank you!

TEAM Kanto Wanderers

3-mega.png

Mega Venusaur (Wall)

Ability: Overgrow (Thick Fat)

Nature: Calm

EVs: 252 Sp Def / 240 Def / 16 Speed

- Synthesis

- Giga Drain

- Leech Seed

- Sludge Bomb

Idea here is to keep Mega Venusaur alive as long as possible while having the opponent poisoned or on leech seed. Hoping that I will damage or kill a lot of opponents while buying myself time with giga grain and sludge bomb to damage the opponent. Mega Venusaur’s ability makes less hurt by ground attacks. I usually like to start with Mega Venusaur but sometimes with start with Gengar.

Ninetails w/ Leftovers (sp. Attacker)

Ability: Drought

Nature: Timid

EVs: 252 HP / 136 Speed / 120 Sp. Att

- Dark Pulse

- Solar Beam

- Fire Blast

- Nasty Plot

I will use solar beam on water types and ground types. I will use fire blast on grass types. Nasty plot and dark pulse are there to attack psychic and dark type pokemon. Drought allows me to use solar beam right away and left overs helps me stay alive a little longer. Leftovers will help keep Ninetails alive longer.

gardevoir.png

Gardevoir w/ Choice Specs (choice attacker)

Ability: Telepathy

Nature: Modest

EVs:

- Moonblast

- Shadowball

- Psychic

- Thunderbolt

I have Moonblast on to deal damage to dragon type pokemon. Having Dragonite and Gardevoir on my team will leave my opponents surprised. Shadowball I will use to attack other psychic types. Psychic is there to stab. And Thunderbolt is there to damage water type pokemon.

149.png

Dragonite w/ Lum Berry (dragon dancer attacker)

Ability: Multiscale

Nature: Adamant

EVs: 252 Speed / 252 Att / 4 Def

- Outrage

- Dragon Dance

- Extreme Speed

- Earthquake

I have DD there to set up a sweep to use my dragonite. Outrage is my stab attack. I will then follow with Earthquake or Outrage depending on the opponent. I have extreme speed if I need to out pace a quick opponent. I have lum berry to snap out of confusion from outrage.

Gengar_XY.gif

Gengar w/ Black Sludge (sweeper)

Ability: Levitate

Nature: Timid

EVs: 252 Speed / 248 Sp. A / 8 HP

-Hex

-Substitute

-Taunt

-Will-o-wisp

I already have Sludge Bomb on M. Venusaur, so I figured having Substitute would work best on Gengar. Gengar is the Pokemon I’d hope to bring out mid game to use taunt and will o wisp and then switch out. Gengar’s main role is to use Hex and deal as much damage as possible quickly. Subsitute is there to help me switch out with not taking a lot of damage.

latest

Crawdaunt w/ Choice Band (wall breaker)

Ability: Adaptability

Nature: Adamant

EVs: 252 ATT / 252 Speed / 4 HP

- Aqua Jet

- Crabhammer

- Super Power

- Knock Off

I have super power on there to tear at Mega Gyarados wall. Knock Off is there to take on psychic walls and stop walls with items quickly. I will use Crab Hammer on strong fire types and to deal a lot of damage to strong fire walls. I have aqua jet in case I need crawdnaut to come in and kill a weakened wall like Mega Tyranitar.

Alternatives:
