ORAS OU First team: Trying a Sand Storm team on Or/As

Hi there! I've been following the community without being active on it for a while now, and i would like you to rate the team i've been working on since gen 6 was out. I like sand storm teams beacause i love Tyranitar, and want to make use of him. I have changed it a lot since aegislash got moved to ubers, so lets start with it.
Tyranitar_XY.png

Tyrano (Tyranitar) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stone Edge
- Payback
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

I love this guy. He is the weather starter, and with Assault Vest it acts as the special wall of the team, using both assault vest and the storm to getting his Sp. Def to sky levels, so teh evs are all inested on special bulk.
Stone Edge and Payback for STAB, im choosing Payback over Crunch because mos likely i'll be attacking after my foe and it goes for 100BP with it. Earthquake to coverage and Pursuit to trap some forced switch.
Mega-Steelix_ROZA.png

Steelix @ Steelixite
Ability: Sturdy/Sand Force
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Curse
- Gyro Ball
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Tyrano can set a storm that this guy can easily use. The ResTalk set its powerful on him, switching him in easy setup for curse. I was thinking about Gyro Ball or Heavy Slam, but i found that with curse Gyro Ball would deal more damage most of the times. Rest to heal and take care of status ailemnts, and talk to be able to get more buffs or hit, taking some risk on a lost turn with a random rest there. The thrests on this would be special attackers, thats why i invested the EVs on HP and Sp. Def, with a Careful nature; plus his base def is already one of the highest.

Skarmory_XY.png

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

Using this little armored bird to set up Stealth Rock, while being able to wall some physical threats. Roost is there for obvious recovering, while Whirlwind will take care of boosted targed, while take advantage of SR. Last slot i used to have Brave Bird to avoid being completely nullified by Taunt, but since im using Talonflame and SR is quite popular i run Defog to be able to use him without that half damage instadrop.Changed Defog to Brave Bird to avoid being nullified by Taunt.I got Rocky Helmet over leftovers to deal some damage on contact hits since im not using ddirect damage moves.

Talonflame_XY.png

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Tailwind

The bird on fire, using him banded to sweep most of the foes that dont resist him. I took band on him because ill be most likely spamming Brave Bird, so i won't need the scarf or a Jolly nature.
Flare Blitz is there for fire STAB, while U-turn to bait some switchs on the birdie or getting him away in a bad situation. For the last slot i was wondering about Me First or Windtail, but i choose Aerial Ace. tailwind i found it useless because the ones needing the speed on my team already are fast, and the birdie would been forced to switch after using it. Me First would be very situational, so i choose the perfect acc. Aerial Ace, plus the priority given on it by Gale Wings. Finally decided to Tailwind as the filler move to support the rest of the team.

Greninja_XY.png

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 40 Atk / 216 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse

The frog is here to be my special attacker. Protean is self-explanatory, and with this moves he has great coverage. With the addition of Gunk Shot to his movepool, i found useful using a Naive nature and that 4 EVs on Atk for taking care of Fairys and Bugs, while Grass Knot being useful against other water types. Surf and Ice beam are for coverage. Life Orb to improve his damage while getting nature to boost his high speed.
With the addition of Rotom, Greninja no longer needs Grass Knot so is replaced with Dark Pulse.

Rotom_lavado_XY.png

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Spook! Acting as the main physical wall of the team, the ghost can prevent rapid spinners to take off the SR set by skarmory. With WoW can tank physical hits even harder, and toxic for those who cant be burnt or another walls to can outheal the burn damage. Pain split for recovering while Shadow Sneak to getting priority kills on weakened targets, and for the STAB. The item is leftovers to more recovery.
Changed from Dusknoir to being able to deal with water and electric types which my team are overall weak to.

So this is it,Ii would make use of some help, specially of gettind rid of things such like Sableye and his emga, or Rotom-W when it's the defensive one. Apart of that, I dont know if I can get trouble with another poke, so if you notice it, I appreciate it.I know that excadrill is likely a monster in sand teams, but I don't really like him and when I tried to use him I didnt make it well.
Please rate it, and dont suggest any legendary, I don't like using them.
P.S: sorry if I made some grammar mistake, English isn't my native language.

EDIT: changes are highlighted in bold

Hiya! This team is pretty cool, and I have some suggestions:
  • Your team is heavily weak to water and electric types, so I would possibly suggest replacing Dusknoir with Rotom-W. Dusknoir really has no place within OU, and it can't really do much to the opponent besides stalling with Status and Pain Split. Rotom-W can help absorb moves from water and electric types and deal out respectable damage. Try a set like this:
    Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
    Bold Nature
    - Volt Switch
    - Hydro Pump
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Pain Split
  • I would replace Grass Knot on Greninja with Dark Pulse. Grass Knot is really for hitting Azumarill, which is covered by Gunk Shot. In addition, I would recommend using a 40 Atk / 216 SpA / 252 Spe spread to OHKO Azumarill.
  • I'm not sure if you should use Aerial Ace on Talonflame. Aerial Ace is pointless, since you'll be using Brave Bird 99% of the time. I would recommend switching it with Tailwind. While it may not seem to have any value, it could potentially let members of your team outspeed 'mons that it usually wouldn't. This could help other members on the team sweep further.
  • Without an attacking move, Skarmory is basically Taunt bait. Although this may not be the best move to swap out, I would try switching Whirlwind with Brave Bird. Brave Bird, while not all that powerful, will ensure that Skarmory is not Taunt bait and can possibly dent a few Pokemon.
I can't provide a full rate because of mobile limitations, but I hope I helped!
Good luck on your team =)

Thanks for the feedback! I already noticed that I'm weak to water and electric and I used dusknoir because I love him, bul I'll take your advice and I'll use that rotom. About Skarmory, I used to run Brave Bird but I got very limited on using Talonflame if I hadn't defog, but getting Skarmory taunted is more dangerous, so I'll go back to Brave Bird. And right, Aerial Ace is a filler move and I'll use Tailwind just because is a filler move, but at least is more useful.
About Greninja, with the addition of Rotom i won't need him to take care about the Water types, so yeah that change would be great.
I have edited the main post with the changes, thanks!
