Ok I'm new to serious battling, and I put this sandstorm team together. Tell me what you guys think.
Swampert-leftovers
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Surf
So this is my lead. Swampert sets up stealth rock and provides some strong attacks. Its ice beam is particularly helpful against salamence, dragonite, and flygon
Tyranitar-life orb
-Dragon Dance
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Fire Punch
I love Tyranitar it's one of my favorites. Here it sets up sandstorm and is a good physical sweeper. I think life orb is a better idea for the extra power it provides, and fire punch is good to use on skarmory, forretress, and scizor if scizor doesn't kill me with bullet punch.
Lucario-Choice Specs
-Aura Sphere
-Shadow Ball
-Close Combat
-Vaccume Wave
I'm using the specs set mainly because my team needs some strong special attacks. I'm playing on the DS games not on shoddy battle, thats why I dont have hidden power. I replaced it with close combat in case I'm cornered and happen to need a strong physical attack. If anyone has any better ideas for this set in particular I would love to hear them.
Scizor-Choice Band
-U-turn
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower
-Pursuit
Nothing really special here, Scizor makes another strong physical attacker for my team. Superpower takes care of Lucario's issue with Blissey and u-turn is for scouting purposes and for hitting pokemon like Celebi.
Starmie-leftovers
-Rapid Spin
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
Starmie is for rapid spin support and it hits pretty hard with surf and thunderbolt. Leftovers lets it recover every turn from sandstorm's damage. My Starmie has a modest nature instead of timid so its not as fast but I think the extra special attack is helpful. I'm still kind of debating between thunderbolt and ice beam but thunderbolt is probably better because otherwise my team doesnt have any electric attacks. Swampert has ice beam any way.
Flygon-Choice Scarf
-U-turn
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast
Flygon and Scizor work well together with their U-turns. Fire Blast is mainly for physicaly defensive steel types, especially Scizor who threatens my Tyranitar with bullet punch. Earthquake and Outrage are both strong STAB moves. I'm probably gonna go with an adamant nature, its fast enough with choice scarf and extra power is always good.
So thats my team, tell me what you think. Remember I'm playing on the actual games not shoddy battle so my options are a bit more limited. I appreciate whatever ideas you guys have to improve this team, thanks!
