First team...

This is my team, I don't think it's really that great, but it doesn't really suck. My teams major weakness currently is water, as I have multiple Pokémon weak to that.

Mienshao @ Choice Band
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
IVs: 31 on all
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hi Jump Kick

I use him mostly late-game, where all ghosts are down already. I found that with Choice Band he get's rather fast, making him great at things like Snorlax. Main thing I have about him is that he isn't really that bulky, wich doesn't allow him to switch into things. He also gets brought down easily due to this, making wich is why the speed is important. Paralyze really ruins him, though. Regenerator is pretty good, but Reckless, combined with the allready good power of Hi Jump Kick makes it an insanly powerfull move.

Gligar @ Eviolite
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 4 SDef / 252 HP / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 31 on all
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Toxic

My lead, I guess it's pretty standard and all, but he does also suffer the great water weakness like almost my whole team, wich is kinda bad. He does what he is good at though, wich is setting up stealth rock and stalling the enemy's first Pokémon. Toxic provides him with some atleast some damage, but he is total Taunt bait to things like Rotom, due to Earthquake being it's only attacking move, wich, due to Levitate, get's cancelled out.

Chandelure @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
IVs: 31 on all
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball

I have found that having a ghost Pokémon is very usefull, against treaths like Darmanitan using superpower and heracross. With calm mind he gets very strong, but I rarely have time to set up, though. He also shares the water weakness, making him candidate of being switched for another Pokémon. I'd rather keep him though, because of the lack of other good ghosts, although Frostlass is pretty cool, it's more suitable for a lead, where Gligar is now.

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 4 SAtk / 252 HP / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 HP 31 on the rest
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Roar

Empoleon is used to switch into the feared water types, due to it's resistance to that, and high Special Bulk. With roar it can get rid of those types, and lure the enemy into using another Pokémon. Ice Beam and Surf are there for getting some kills, if the enemy has a Fire pokémon. His typing makes him good against other Pokémon aswell, although Electric kinda ruins him, bad. Usually I can switch to Gligar when the enemy sends out an Electric. If I would switch him, I guess it would be for Snorlax, although that's more of a Physical wall, where almost all Water types are Special.

Zapdos @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 31 on all
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Roost

I use Zapdos in order to actually get rid of the water types, but he doesn't really have that much bulk. I'm thinking of switching him for a Lanturn, because that has a ressistance to the feared type. Zapdos is usefull against Fighting types aswell, due to Hidden Power Flying. I'm not too keen on keeping my Life Orb though, as he that, combined with Stealth Rock, hurts him for a good chunk of his hp, making him an easy target. He also is a great switch in into Ground types, wich try to kill Chandelure.

Claydol @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
IVs: 31 on all
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic

I use him to Rapid Spin, and tank a bit, but not really that much. Blastiose might be better, so that might get into here. Hitmontop could go aswell, but I don't have enough experience with that Pokémon, might try it out. I do allready have a fighthing pokémon, and I don't think it's good to have another. Claydol isn't that special other then Rapid Spin, but it can set up Stealth Rock incase my other got Spinned. Toxic is just there in case of other walls, and just dealing damage.

Please rate and give some tips, I'm really not that good at the whole Metagame thing, and I wish to learn.

I must have missed this RMT when you first posted it, here are some things I think'll be helpful:

1. Overall your team lacks speed, as in anything with a Choice Scarf outspeeds your entire team. You do have some bulky enough walls but none the less you need a Scarfer of your own, or at least a pokemon with access to priority.

2. To remedy what I said in #1 I recommend going with this Mienshao set:
Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hi Jump Kick
Mienshao outspeeds every other common Scarfer in the tier, and still hits very hard with High Jump Kick.

3. Definitely replace Hidden Power Flying on Zapdos with Hidden Power Grass. This remedies your problem with ground types, especially Rhyperior and Swampert. Hidden Power Flying is unnecessary coverage really anyway, as you already have Heat Wave.

4. I think it would be a good idea to change your Chandelure set, as in my opinion it has very low sweeping potential. If you really want to keep the Calm Mind set then go with 68 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 184 Spe for its EVs. I think a Choice Specs or Life Orb Chandelure would do your team more good however. If you go with that, then go with 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe for EVs.

5. Stealth Rock on both Gligar and Empoleon is kind of needless, Gligar is bulky enough to pretty much guarentee getting up Rocks at one point or other. I think replacing Stealth Rocks on Empoleon with Grass Knot would be a good idea.

6. I honestly don't think you need a Rapid Spinner, only 2 pokemon on your team are weak to them and Zapdos can just Roost off the damage anyway. Claydol is also a very poor wall in my opinion as well. I'm thinking your team is a little lacking in the Physical side of things. I'm a big fan of Rhyperior, but I think just replacing Claydol with anything is a good idea.

Hope this is helpful!

Hello There! Firstly, interesting team. UU is pretty tough to get into. I'm going to go straight into rating:

Mienshao: Why CB? sure, it's powerful, but is that extra power really worth the lack of versatility Mienshao enjoys? In my opinion, you should try using Life Orb. It has way more versatility and can abuse regenerator/U-turn more, which can almost make up for its frailness.

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252atk/4spatk/252speed
Nature: Naive/Hasty (depends on if you want to screw up download or take priority moves better)

- Hi Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power Ice (I assume you can replace this if you really want to keep electric, but those Gligars; Fake out can be used for priority.)

Gligar: He's pretty good. If you don't use Toxic very often you can always use U-turn to get your faster mons in easily.

Chandelure: In my honest opinion, your current Chandelure sucks. Firstly, Dark and Ghost have the same coverage, so Dark Pulse is pointless. Now, You have two options with Chandelure. You can either replace Dark Pulse with Sub and go with a Sub/CM set (which could be interesting), or you could go with a choice item, particularly scarf, redoing the whole pokemon. You can look on the page for details (I don't use Chandy very often).

Empoleon: You don't need more than one Stealth Rocker. You can always take SR off Gligar for something else, but I'd say give Empy Grass Knot over SR, purely for the ever-annoying Swampert (and Blastoise, to a lesser extent).

Zapdos: Hm. I don't see much problem here. If you really don't want your Life Orb, you can always use Expert Belt. And also, is HP flying really that useful? Now that I look, it's your only Fighting SE... so I won't change that.

Claydol: Personally, I don't like Claydol very much at all. Sure, it has a nice niche in SR+Spinning, but you don't really need that niche. I'd say go with a semi-fast Blastoise (seems weird, I know, below is my personal set, you might need to tweak it to your needs). Only thing is you have another electric weakness; but you do have an immunity to it.

Blastoise @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 32 SDef / 156 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roar
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Yawn
Main things: Speed is so it can outspeed uninvested Cobalions/Virizions who put only 4 in speed. Also, it kinda does what your empoleon does. This is where the tweaking comes in. You can take Roar off one of them for something else (like Refresh on Blastoise, maybe make Empoleon offensive or something???), or just have two phazers. I'll let you figure that out. Roar/RapidSpin is fairly obvious, that's what blastoise does; Scald is for burn hax/to do damage, and yawn can take out a pokemon or force a switch, which is always nice.

In general: Seems pretty solid; Good luck with your team; hope I helped!

Thank you both for the great help you guys provided me, I'll try stuff out, and then see what my team will become after that. Really apreciated.

I agree with most of the changes above, but I'd just like to add that you should change HP Flying on Zapdos for HP Grass or HP Ice, the former hitting Rhyperior and Swampert and the latter forming BoltBeam. Secondly, you should keep SR on Empoleon and give Aerial Ace to Gligar over SR. This gives your Gligar at least something to do against Heracross and not be just a sitting duck.

Next, Dark Pulse on Chandy doesn't provide any coverage so replace it with Energy Ball, hitting Swampert and Rhyperior who resist Fire Blast. Of course sub is an option too

Finally, I don't see how Claydol provides much to your team since it has no offensive presence and Empoleon pretty much does the same job as Claydol. This change is optional, but I think you should replace it with a Swords Dance Virizion. Virizion has decent bulk and offensive prowess, and forms a nice Fire/Water/Grass core in your team.

Set

Virizion @ Lum Berry
Trait: Justified
Jolly Nature
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Leaf Blade
-Stone Edge
-Sacred Sword / Close Combat

Good luck with the team.

If you want SR up early, you should lead with Empy since it deals with Rhyperior and Gligar well, however it can't 3HKO Roserade and it might get OHKOd by Rhyperiors EQ. Maybe you can run Balloon but then that means no recovery. I guess you could also take the suggestions above and give Gligar SR and Empy Grass Knot but that would mean Gligar can't do anything to the Heracross it's coming out to wall (not like Hera can do much anyways).

Come to think about it, maybe Grass Knot is a better idea after all.
