Hello everyone
I've been playing pokemon for a long, long time now. I always check the forums here and read a lot. Well now, I want to contribute on my own.
The team that I'm about to present to you has brought me to a ranking of 122. But I have some problems that I wish to solve with your help. Let's start with the team.
The Team
Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 188 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Gyro Ball
Everybody knows this guy. He's used to put up entry hazards and spread paralysis to aid my sweepers. the EV's are there to put the defenses on an almost equal number, but with a bit more physical bulk.
Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Substitute
This guy is a beast. He punches holes in the opponents team. Switch in on a draco meteor or a fire attack, set up a substitute and choose your coverage move. EV's are there for maximum damage input. The speed is actually surprisingly good. A lot of times that I killed gliscor with HP ice before they even have a chance of EQ'ing me.
Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 172 SAtk / 84 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Part three of my FWG-core. With water absorb he can actually switch in a lot of times. Substitute is for scouting and off course anti status. I'm a big fan of bulky sweeping, that's why the EV's are those of an offensive CM'er.
Zoroark (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Illusion
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
My revenge killer. At first this was a scarfed heracross with moxie (which was also pretty awesome), but I needed something that was able to outspeed and OHKO scarfchomp. Zoroark fits that perfectly, while also outspeeding a plethora of thing. The ability illusion also makes sure that it's difficult to know wether it's my revenger or not :-) Dark Pulse with the high speed and some paralysis support makes also for a good annoyer. EV's are straight forward.
Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Acrobatics
- Fling
Ferrothorn, heatran and zoroark all have a terrible fighting type weakness, and there is one very good fighting type counter, gliscor. With STAB acrobatics he can threaten the likes of conkeldurr and virizion. I am considering changing his EV's and moveset a bit, because I'm not sure wether I need all that speed or not. I was thinking of giving him flight gem as an item and toxic instead of fling. This way he can sweep faster and still support the team.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
My main special Sweeper. Choice Specs draco meteor hurts practically everything. When I predict a switch to a wall, I trick. Thunderbolt is there because I lack electric coverage and HP fire is for the obvious steel switch that isn't heatran.
I don't know what threatens me the most here. Scrafty has given me some problems and it takes a long time for me to deal with SkarmBliss. Any advice on how to tackle this is welcome.
My apologies for not making it too interesting to read. English is not my native language...
Thanks in advance
