First Time Poster, First Prospective OU Team

Okay, be gentle on the noob, please. This is the first time I've ever stepped into the competitive scene.

This is purely a speculative team, as I haven't made it yet, but I could sure use some guidance here, mainly to just get my thoughts straight. Bear in mind that I'm under the item clause, and I'm sort of adhering to an arbitrary point-system where certain OU Pokemon can be "purchased" for spots on your team, so as to open up the playing field a bit more for the lower tiers. Rules are in the hide tags for those who are interested.

All BL, UU, or NU Pokemon are free of charge.
OU Pokemon with base stats under 580 cost 1 point
OU Pokemon with base stats 580 and over cost 2 points
Garchomp costs 3 points (ie: He's soft banned)

Okay, here goes nothing.

1. Uxie @ Light Clay
Timid
Levitate
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Reflect
Light Screen
U-Turn
Stealth Rock

Yeah, a bit of an unconventional lead in OU, I know. Fairly self-explanatory, set up whatever shield it needs most against opponent's lead first, then the second, then Stealth Rock, then U-Turn. Screen support is mainly to help out the swords dancers on my team. Not too sure about this one. Might opt for Gliscor instead, and try to fill in his vacant spot with a dedicated Dual-Screener, or opt out of Dual Screen support altogether and fill the spot with another wall breaker. He was attractive due to his free cost in points, though.

2. Lucario @ Life Orb
Jolly
Inner Focus
EV's: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Swords Dance
Close Combat
Extreme Speed
Crunch

My main sweeper (lol, I know, fanboy alert). Comes in early or late depending on the situation. Benefits greatly from Uxie's dual screen support to help set up Swords Dance and maximize its attack. Opted for Crunch instead of Ice Punch (due to Vaporeon packing Ice Beam) in order to deal with ghosts and psychics. I figured Ice Punch against Salamence wouldn't be much, since Intimidate hurts his attack stat. Also helps Jolteon deal with Tyranitar and Blissey.

3. Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Modest
Water Absorb
EV's: 188 Def / 252 SpA / 68 Spe

Fake Tears
Wish
Surf
Ice Beam

Bulky water support for Lucario and Gliscor. Used to be for luring electric attacks to switch in Electivire, but I tossed him out for Jolteon, who can pretty much fill the same role. Opted for Fake Tears to provoke switches in order to safely heal team members, but mainly to take advantage of its special attack stat. Ice Beam takes good care of Mence, Surf takes good care of fire and ground types that threaten Lucario, Scizor, and its brother Jolteon.

4. Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Timid
Volt Absorb
EV's: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Thunderbolt
Hidden Power Grass
Shadow Ball
Thunder Wave

A switch-in to take electric attacks aimed at its brother, Vaporeon, and not a bad sweeper, in my estimation. Takes care of Gyarados and Salamence for Lucario, as well as any other bulky water types for Gliscor, and flyers like Zapdos, Skarmory, and Togekiss. Not too sure about Thunder Wave on a Choice Specs set, but virtually every other worthwhile item has already been taken. Plus I figured it would be nice enough of a surprise to cripple other problem Pokemon. Opted for HP Grass because Ice is already covered by Vaporeon.

5. Gliscor @ Yache Berry
Jolly
Hyper Cutter
EV's: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spe

Swords Dance
Earthquake
Roost
Stone Edge

For EQ immunity, and a second option for switching into electric attacks. A good choice for dealing with walls. I opted for the Dancing Tank set to outspeed opposing Lucario and to really crank up EQ damage for type coverage. A last resort anti-flier with Stone Edge in case Jolteon kicks the bucket, and a nice tank to boot. Might consider replacing Stone Edge with Baton Pass to give Lucario and Scizor extra Swords Dance benefit, but that might mean switching Lucario to a Choice Band set to avoid redundancy.

6. Scizor @ Choice Band
Adamant
Technician
EV's: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 252 SpD

U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Pursuit

Gliscor's claw-handed partner, and a backup sweeper to Lucario, though the roles of the two are interchangeable. Couldn't resist the Technician-boosted Bullet Punch and Pursuit. Fire types are already handled mainly by Gliscor and Vaporeon. U-Turn and Pursuit help it to deal with Psychics and Ghosts in case Lucario falls in battle. I might have gone with the Swords Dance set (so I could name this Team Footloose), but that would be pretty redundant, IMO. On the other hand, another team that uses Dual Screens could pose a problem if my Scizor is lacking Brick Break.

If any of these explanations are lacking in any way, please let me know. I'm more than willing to make alterations. Perhaps I could forsake dual screen support altogether, put Gliscor up as my lead, give him Stealth Rock, and put in Infernape for Fire Coverage and wall breaking?

RMT rules said:
16. Play with your team before putting it up for rate. We as a community cannot emphasize this enough. No one wants to rate the team that you freshly created while eating breakfast or the gimmick you randomly put together. We as a community want teams that have been battle tested so that the obvious flaws have been hammered out.

This is particularly because just by playing with a team, you yourself can figure out what is wrong with your team. You don't need other people to help you quite yet - and to be blunt, you're just being lazy or have the wrong idea of what the RMT forum is if you're posting teams you spent fifteen minutes creating.

I'm sorry but we require that you test your team before putting it up for rate. If you test it for a few days, then PM me and I'll unlock this thread.
