Hello ^^
I am a casual/competitive player and I play against my friends which is pretty funny. I also play on Showdown to become a better player. But sometimes, I still struggle to build the right team.
This is a Salac Garchomp team. It is, as written, based on (offensive) Garchomp because Garchomp is my favorite Pokemon and I really want to build a team around it.
So, this is my current team. It is okay, but I have the feeling that it could be better:
Stardust (Garchomp) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
The ace of this team, acting as a lategame sweeper most of time. 12 EV to HP for activating the Salac Berry after 3 Subs. Set up Subs and SD, then sweep. Pretty nice.
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spd
0 Atk DV
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire
Garchomp still struggles against bulkier Steel types like Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor and Skarmory. Magnezone solves this problem.
Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal -> Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 44 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
- Roost
Garchomp also struggles against bulky Fairies. SD Mega Scizor solves this problem. I chose U-turn instead of Knock Off because U-turn gives momentum and I also have a save switch to Garchomp. 44 Def to avoid a 2HKO from a Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick. Scizor can also handle against Weavile which my team is weak against.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 144 Def / 116 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
The bird Counter, basically. It also counters Mega Manectric which my team is weak against. And it also can beat Bisharp, but it's still not a save switch-in.
Tornadus-T @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- U-Turn
The main purpose is to beat and counter Keldeo which is currently a big threat. I chose Timid over Hasty because the attack drop is not that important.
Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball
- Tail Glow
This team can counter bulky Ground type, but it can't beat them. So, I decided to play Manaphy. It also wins the Set-up war against Mega Sableye.
I am looking forward to criticism you have for me :) I appreciate every critique.
Thank you very much!
(Ps: English is not my native language. So, sorry for my bad English :3 )
