Torkoal: So I wanted to build a team around one of my favourite pokemon. Specs eruption in the sun can be really strong provided the necessary counters are taken care of. Eruption is the main move to click, however solar beam, sludge bomb, and earth power are there for late game coverage or predicting switches. 0 speed with a quiet nature allows torkoal to out-slow a lot under trick room, but is heavily weak to pokemon with flash fire and bulky water types, which I have tried to account for with the remainder of the team.

Reuniclus: Acting like a discount hatterene, reuniclus serves as an offensive trick room setter able to set up and chip down pokemon with its really good special attack and life orb. It's primary function is to set up trick room late game and get some damage before brining in one of the big hitters, but can sweep itself if given the opportunity. Magic guard circumvents the life orb damage so I find it more useful than regenerator, as reuniclus will typically only be brought in once or twice during a game.

Bronzong: Stealth rocks help immensely with the fire types in the tier who are able to resist eruption from torkoal, provided they aren't running heavy duty boots. A max special defence stat should allow bronzing to tank hits relatively well before setting up trick room and going from there. Explosion can be used to heavily damage some special walls whereas toxic can be used to chip away at bulky walls in another manner. Since the majority of trick room users are weak to ghost, it is difficult to work around this with my own walls, but full special defence allows bronzing to take shadow ball from timid specs chandelure and any hit from scarf.

Jellicent: A fully physical wall able to come in multiple times during a game and set up trick room. Destiny bond is there to surprise attackers which pose a problem to my team. Recover is used over strength sap as I find it more reliable, and strength sap doesn't synergise as well with scald, if you get the burn. Scald is there to help deal with fire types, which pose a really big threat in general. Although chandelure really does a number on my walls, jellicent helps to check other strong fire types like arcanine and darmanitan.

Pangoro: Pangoro serves as a really strong wall breaker, able to deal massive damage to ghost types with scrappy, and outspeed them under trick room. Close combat is generally the go to move, but knock off, iron head, and earthquake are there for extra coverage. Earthquake also helps to deal with fire types. Max attack and min speed is used to make pangoro as fast as possible under trick room, and can break through the majority of walls with its choice band close combat. It is important not to let pangoro take too much damage however.

Vikavolt: Finally, we have vikavolt, a very strong special attacker whose main purpose is to deal with the water types which pose a problem for torkoal. Thunderbolt gives a strong STAB move whereas volt switch can be used under trick room when predicting a switch in order to get in either torkoal or pangoro. Energy ball remains for coverage and for water ground types like gastrodon which otherwise can stall out trick room. Bug buzz special defence drops can help out when dealing with bulkier walls (provided you get lucky!)

I understand that this team will have flaws, but I'd really like to support torkoal in any way I can to make it work as a sweeper. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!
