Hello folks! Posting my first RMT, looking for feedback on a team I've been testing. Note: this team is for UBERS only - that is, no mons below ubers allowed - no OU, etc.
The team is focused on the raw power of ExtremeKiller Arceus + Primal Groudon.
Without further ado:
Arceus @ Life orb
Ability : Multiplate
Evs : 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 hp
Jolly nature
- Swords dance
- Extreme speed
- Shadow claw
- Earthquake
One of the most important members of the team. Physical sweeper with the goal of setting up one SD (potentially as a lead depending on opposing team) and poking serious holes in the opposing team. One of the best candidates for receiving Latias' Healing Wish. Typical Extremekiller set - Shadow Claw and EQ for ghost and steel coverage.
Groudon @ Red Orb
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Stone Edge
Another potent setup mon, that doesn't necessarily need to set up. Leading with groudon can bluff rocks and set up with a Rock Polish easily, then proceed to blast opponents away with EdgeQuake+Sun Fire Punch coverage. Switching groudon in to take away Kyogre's rain is fairly common, so he is worn down over the course of a match - this makes him another decent recipient of Healing Wish, based on the opposing team. (Originally I used specially defensive Groudon, but his attack is too good to go to waste)
Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 SpD / 252 Def / 4 HP
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Thunder Wave
- Roar/Whirlwind
- Aeroblast
Wall #1 (mixed). Checks geomancy xerneas, as well as other setup sweepers. Also based on the offensive nature of the team, works as a Parashuffler to gain the speed advantage against the opposing team. Could consider focusing on Sp. defense + HP since there's another defensive mon. I know having defog is important with Multiscale, I assume I should work on a Defog Latias instead of my current?
Kyogre @ Blue Orb
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Wall #2! Kyogre's insane base Sp.D allows for a defensive investment. RestTalk set gives an answer to potential Darkrai Dark Voids, as well as allowing you to come in and tank a physical threat for a while, and potentially burn it with scald (as long as sleep talk actually lets you use a move besides rest xD).
Latias @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Timid Nature
- Healing Wish
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder
All the previous mention of healing wish, here it is! Latias can switch in on Kyogre or Groudon, as well as some others, and do some serious damage. Thunder hits in the rain generated by your own Kyogre, or theirs. You can drop a Draco on an opposing Groudon for some big damage, then make an appropriate switch. Healing wish for all the previous mentions - rebuy your Extremekiller, or Groudon, or heal up one of your walls. (As previously mentioned, I don't have access to a defog Latias but with Lugia on the team, is that the best option? Defog Healing Wish and Psyshock/Draco/Thunder combo?)
Finally: This is where I need your help! My initial thought was
Xerneas @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid/Modest
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Focus Blast
- __________
Fairy aura moonblast wrecks the dragons I'm concerned with (I will be dealing with mega Rays as well as regulars) as well as hitting for a ton of damage against most mons, while outspeeding off of a scarf. A mixed set might work better with close combat and rock slide, but that's what you guys are for. Functions as a revenge killer as well as a sweeper if you can weaken its checks. I also had considered Scarf Genesect in this slot (either mixed ESpeed Blaze Kick UTurn Iron Head or Ice Beam > Blaze Kick)
I appreciate your responses!
