474.png

Yanmega @ Focus Sash
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Speed Boost
Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
-Bug Buzz
-Air slash
-Protect
-Hidden power ground 70

Description: Basically a scout for the opposing team, almost nothing in the new UU environment can actually fully wall this. Bug buzz for basic stab as well as air slash... Protect is to scout while the last move is still undecided.

Why Yanmega?

Good against most leads like ambipom and nice scouter. Also it is great for luring out some walls like registeel out early

Why those evs?

Standard set, works fine

Why the moveset?

Common moveset, Hidden power to dent registeel... 2 stab moves and protect for scouting

257.png

Blaziken @ Life orb

72Atk/252spA/184spe
Blaze
Mild (+SpA, -Def)
-Fire blast
-Superpower
-Hidden power Grass
-Vaccum Wave

Description: My physical attacker right here, since his movepool is big on both the special and physical spectrum, some trainers might send in a special wall to counter this on a switch thus giving me a chance to set up and probably KO... Should i change anything?

Big Change to Mixed, Superpower for stab and a physical attack, HP grass for waters, vaccum wave for priority and fire blast for mega stab...

Why blaziken?

Good fire type sweeper, very nice offensive stats and huge movepool to choose from!

Why the Evs?

Just enough for critical OHKOs like superpowering a chansey and outspeeding certain pokes!

Why the moves?

Nice coverage with 2 STAB attacks and HP grass for pesky grounds/waters and vaccum wave for revenge killing stuff like Swellow that are close to death.

392.png

Torterra @ Leftovers
212 HP / 252 Def / 44 Spe
Overgrow
Impish (+Def, -SpA)
-Leech seed
-Wood Hammer
-Earthquake
-Roar

Description: This is something like my "physical" wall; however, even without Attack evs it still leaves a dent in opposing pokemon with Wood hammer and EQ while they get a STAB boost (and possibly an overgrow boost for the hammer) leech seed is when i predict a switch and stealth rocks is a filler slot that is helpful since fire pokemon like moltres and charizard (who takes 50% from SR) are everywhere in UU... This tank also works great to counter sweepers such as drapion which can not OHKO even with +2... then i would KO with EQ or dent it and have one of my faster pokes like swellow finish it off...

Why Torterra?

Exellent defensives, great immunities to support this teams weaknesses like ground, electric, rock, and also helps by stopping physical sweepers like drapion.

Why the evs?

Packs just the right evs to be able to go on the offensive while having a good amount of defensive qualities!

Why the moves?

Wood hammer is for just stab while EQ is for drapions and for regular STAB. Leech seed is a great way of recovery (if i predict right) and Roar is there to make sure no set ups go out of control.

310.png

Manectric @ Peteya Berry
252SpA/252Spe/4HP
Static
Timid (+Spe, - Atk)
-Thunderbolt
-Overheat
-Substitute
-Hidden power grass

Description: My main wall breaker here... Fast speed and high spA makes it very viable for a special sweeper but since hypno's and grumpigs are gay i am running crunch (and some atk evs) to counter them when they think they can just CM up. Expert belt over Life orb since i already have a Blaziken with LO. This is here to add some speed into my team and to scare off frail pokes like azumarril or somethign like that and sub up, and attack and then keep on subing till you get the peteya berry boost and then KO (or leave a dent)

Change: All special now since mixed isn't suited for UU

Why manectric?

Great Speed and Special attack along with a rather nice movepool

Why the evs?

Due to its frailty, Manectric needs all the speed it can get to outrun as much as possible as well as hit as hard as he can

Why the moves?

Obviously, Thunderbolt is for STAB, overheat is for lousy no good walls, HP grass is for things like gastrodon and quasire and lastly Substitute is for Peteya berry :D

350.png

Milotic @Life orb
152 HP / 80 Def / 220 SpA / 56 Spe

Marvle Scale
Bold (+Special Defense, -Atk)
-Hidden power Grass
-Ice beam
-Surf
-Recover

Description: This will be my status absorber along with my Special wall with sleep support as well as fast/instant recovery. Milotic also does have a solid 100 base SpA so a surf or two will leave a dent in opponents. I changed this to Raikoulover's set since i like having walls that can actually fight back and make my opponent think twice before just sending a random poke in...

Change: This is a set of Raikoulover, made for UU... Making milotic a tank along with some fight in it

Why Milotic?

Pretty bulky along with a solid 100 base Special attack so i can fight back while on defense.

Why the evs?

Since milotic is quite bulky and the attackers in UU are not extremely powerful, she gets a chance to add some evs to offense just so she can make important KOs like on Nidokings, Altaria, Crobat, Quasire, etc

Why the moves?

Why? For great coverage of course, Surf kills grounds/rocks/fires, Ice beam kills flying, dragons, grasses, and Grass kills annoying stuff with water absorb like mantine, poliwrath, quasire, etc

277.png

Swellow @ Flame orb (should i use toxic?)
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Guts
Jolly (+Speed, -SpA)
-Quick attack
-U-turn
-Brave bird
-Facade

Description: My late game sweeper right here, I like to use this as a revenge killer and to buy time for the orb to activate. Many pokes like hitmontop think they can just waltz in and mach punch me but not this time, quick attack will kill a weakened one or at least dent it... Facade and BB are common STAB moves and U-turn is for scouting at times :D

Why Swellow?

He is fast, strong, and has a nice STAB priority move!

Why the evs?

Just standard, since it isn't exactly bulky, he needs as much speed and atk he can get!

Why the moves?

U-turn is nice for predicting switches and getting the right counter in the game! Brave bird is a nice STAB along with the high base powered Facade after the burn! Lastly i changed protect for Quick attack because it makes a nice revenge killer with that and this way you can outspeed other priority move users that are weakened and you can KO! ANY CRITISM WELCOME

*= some difficulty
**= problematic
***= Oh shoot!

Looks solid Ak.
No real changes NEED to be made, but some suggestions:

  • Hidden Power Ground on Yanmega, covers the steels that often switch in on him, Shadow balls coverage is limited.
  • Also, consider Hypnosis instead of protect, most leads see protect coming and stealth rock anyway, then you get the speed boost and outspeed next turn regardless, however Ambipom becomes an issue, your call. Should you choose to do this, toxic support on Milotic is advised.
  • When choosing the orb for your Swellow, you need to decide on how durable you expect him to be, Toxic is better if you dont expect him to be around for a while, with Burn being the opposite.
  • Consider Dragonbreath on milotic for gimmicky paralysis support, I like it, but it doesnt exactly suit your team. Personally I prefer surf over hydro pump.
Looks like a good team though, be interesting to see how it fairs.
Good luck.

You lack a spinner, which makes life for Shwellow harder then it should be.

This is true, something i just noticed.
You could replace Blaziken with a Hitmontop. Can be physically impactful, as well as providing a helpful spinning role for Yanmega and Swellow. Just a thought.

Manectric absolutely should not be mixed. You could run more of a 6 HP/252 SATK/252 SPD with Overheat in place of Crunch. It may seem unneccesary with Flamethrower, but Overheat will leave a huge dent on almost anything. You need to maximize SPD at all costs on Manectric for he is rather fragile.

There are a number of flaws in this team:

Milotic's ev spread is wrong. It is for ou. Change it. There is one in C&C

In uu, lots of stuff walls yanmega.Like Registeel

Blaziken is usually mixed, so your theory won't work.

Manectric is CRAP in mixed.

The team is wiped out by a huge number of pokemon.

Please, do some research in uu.

I will look for it
For the yanmega what do you suggest me do?
Alright i will switch blaziken to mixed then
alright switching to overheat

No speed?

Spe. is speed. SpD. is Special Defense... just wanted to clear that up.

----------

Yanmega... fine

Manectric- make it a special sweeper. Or, even better, I would consider dropping it. Consider Registeel or Regirock in this spot.
Something like:
Registeel @ Leftovers
Impish; 252 Hp/ 24 Spe./ 232 SpD.
Stealth Rock/ Iron Head/ Thunder Wave/ Explosion
-The speed is to outrun other base 50 which is actually crucial. Can finish off Regirocks when both of you are paralyzed because you should still outspeed, Explode on Aazu before he gets behind a sub(same with Hariyama), Hit Chansey first guaranteed AND can explode on her before she can respond (same with Tangrowth).

Blaziken- Meh, go with the regular one. It has no real hard and fast counters with SR down and some good prediction. Also, you need Vacuum Wave or this team is VERY Absol weak with no safe switchins.

Toreterra- you can make this a tank w/ roar OR go to the RP version if you run Registeel

Milotic- Def. NOT a special wall. This thing isn't guaranteed to beat Yanmega, and if she does not, then its game over for this team (which is why I suggest Registeel). Run a spread like this:
Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold; 252 Hp/ 212 Def./ 40 Spe.
Surf/ Either Hp Electric or Ice Beam(Id use Hp)/ Haze/ Recover
-This makes Milo a much better hit taker. Haze allows you to beat Crotomb, SubCM Missy (beware Taunt), Feraligatr, Azu etc. The spe. outruns the slow Blaziken build, Torterra before a RP, and adamant (maybe even jolly, I forget) Marowak.

Swellow- fine

The descriptions this thread has are pretty short. I cant really help you much beyond this unless you expand on your descriptions. Tell me WHY you chose those pokes, and the moves they use. Also, explain some synergies your team has that you like and would wish to remain. Tell us what about the team works from personal experience and what does not. That should help us to better help you. : )

hmm i like the registeel idea a lot, i think i will sub out my manectric

I am thinking about using raikoulover's set for milotic (tank + attacks)

i changed a few pokes already, and ok, i will add descriptions soon

EDIT: one problem, if i take out manectric, i don't have any other really strong special attackers

EDIT 2: I UPDATED WITH STALL & THREAT LIST

EDIT 3: MORE DESCRIPTIONS
