First UU Team [The UU Core]

I'm still kinda new to competitive pokemon but I feel that if a nasty plot houndoom comes in at a good time it could sweep your team, correct me if I'm wrong

First thing. Arcanine is better suited to that role than Entei. It also provides a check to already mentioned houndoom problem.

Keep in mind though that hounddoom is a good counter for most fire types including arcainine an arcanine set that may help against houndoom may be one that has exteeme speed while holding a life orb but that's just an idea I have not tried it or done any calculations

Realy? I'll have to look more into arcanine I've only glanced at him

Well regardless A spinner would help this team not sure where maybe add it to omanyte or add claydoll And drop clefable it could add some synergy

Can you guys please not spam this thread and post if you are going to RMT it?

I realize Arcanine is a better choice but I specifically made this team to try out Entei.

Entei gets hurt by rocks but it's not a reason to run an Rapid Spinning Pokemon IMO, maybe if it was Moltres and considering it's the only Pokemon on my team that gets hurt by it, there's no point.

Well, Entei has better stats and is a Pokemon I would rather use. If it becomes an actual problem for my team, I may replace it with Arcanine. As much I don't want to because this team is basically about testing it's new set of moves: Extreme Speed, Howl and Flare Blitz.

My team shouldn't have too much problem with Houndoom. For starters, my Clefable is a beast of a special wall, and if he tries to set up, I have Encore. Also to mention, Entei/Arcanine can take a Fire attack just fine, and then Extreme Speed for a great chunk of damage.

There are other ways to deal with it, but it shouldn't be too difficult for me.

I don't see how NP houndoom is any sort of huge problem. Clefable walls it to an extent, and Mismagius can take it out with HP fighting. Also, with the amount of spikes and SR up on the field, Entei can probably take it down with one ESpeed (I'll have to calc that).

Ok I can see you having a problem with SubPunch Azumarill. A smart user will Aqua Jet to escape a bad result from encore and your only resist is Sceptile who isn't the bulkiest of pokes. Mismagius can only revenge it if it has lost its sub. If it does get behind a sub you are in trouble.

Another note. If you do lose sceptile a SD Kabutops can also rip through this team.

WRONG. NP HOUNDOOM RIPS THROUGH THIS TEAM.

First of all, Houndoom sees many chances to set up, walling Spiritomb's entire moveset, and 3/4 of Sceptile's, and there's always Focus Blast's accuracy problem.

Secondly, Clefable does anything but wall +2 Houndoom's STAB Fire Blast (don't even think about it if it has the Flash Fire boost from Spiritomb). Houndoom's +2 STAB F-Blast does a minimum of 102.3% to Clefable. No kidding. If you switch to Mismagius when it grabs the NP boost, your Mismagius does outspeed it, but your HP Fighting does a maximum of 64.4% to Houndoom, then it KO's you with Dark Pulse.

Lastly, you say Entei can revenge it with ESpeed. Okay, its true, but only if it has taken AT LEAST 39.4% damage, and at most it needs to take 48.6% damage.

It has insane special attack and speed stats so it acts as perfect contender for this job.

Its special attack and speed stats are not insane, 105 base each, maximum of 339 each, but not both.

It has great special defense

Clefable's Sp.Def stat is base 90, 306 at most.

However, Moltres is a big threat to him, then again Moltres is a big threat to a lot of leads. So whatever.

You make it sound as if it doesn't matter. And then it proceeds to sweep the majority of your team bar Spiritomb. So whatever.

The lack of HP is concerning but thanks to Pain Split that's not a huge deal.

Pain Split doesn't increase your base HP...
It heals, but only if you have less HP then your opponent.
