First UU team.

I've been trying to build a useful UU team since gen 4, but my lack of knowledge on the tier made me quit and keep on going with my OU teams. With gen 5 huge change of tiers and metagames, I again tried to build an UU team and I think I had sucess in a way. I've been battling in smogon server quite a bit, and I'm having good results with this team, but still this doesn't mean that its perfect, so I need some help with it.

At first look, this is my team.

Its a offensive tem that is centered in venomoth quiver dance pass. I have powerful special sweepers that benefit from 1 or 2 quiver dancers and are able to be a real threat to unprepared teams.

So let's go to the team

Swampert (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Yawn

This is my mixed wall, he takes some punishment, set rocks up, and scare other pokes with yawn, giving me time to switch to venomoth or weavile and start the setup. He is there to take powerful hits from threats like Darmanitan and Heracross.

Venomoth (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Baton Pass
- Sleep Powder
- Bug Buzz

The main star of the team, can switch in the likes of Bronzong, Blastoise, Suicune, and start setuping quiver dances or put some threat to sleep. I wish I could have space to use Substitute over Bug Buzz, but other way I would be completely disabled by taunts.

Weavile (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Ice Punch
- Low Kick
- Night Slash

He's in the team to fight against Zapdos and to clear the way of Ghosts like Chandelure, Dusclops, Cofragius, Golurk, and fast psychic types that threaten Nidoking of switching in, namely Azelf and Slowking. He's the only Physical attacker of the team, a precious spot. Sometimes as last resource I can pass a Quiver Dance to him just to benefit from the boost in speed, that way outspeeding all the scarfers in the tier and shuting down Flygon.

Raikou @ Lum Berry
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Aura Sphere
- Thunderbolt
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Grass]

HP Grass for Swamperts and Quagsires that could screw my sucess in a sweep. CM for independent sweeping in case of Venomoth going down. It is walled by Poison/Grass types and before a +2 Spa boost, I greatly fear Nidoqueen. Lum berry is there to prevent Toxic stalling and to maybe absorb some sleep inducing moves. I had to use Rash Nature to have acess to Aura Sphere.

Shaymin @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Synthesis
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Air Slash

Zapdos is his number 1 enemy, getting over any of my moves. But in other hand Shaymin is quite a beast after 1 or 2 quiver dances. Seed Flares can tear whole teams, but is sometimes a let down because of the 85% accuracy, even failing to hit something, Shaymin can take some hits because of its natural bulky. Synthesis is there just to recover off damage done in between switches. It could be a Hidden Power Ice, but still, I'm not sure. Leftovers to add even more to it natural bulk.

Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave

All purpose attacker, can wreak havoc after just 1 quiver dance, and even without it. He's my most powerful threat.

This is my first post in Smogon and my first RMT, so if it's lacking something I ask for apologies beforehanded.

your team is lacking a rapid spinner without one venomoth will not be able to set up if rocks are up. at 1/2 hp u wont survive against many attacks. and venomoth is not safe from blastoise. blastoise can dragon tail u away. if you get a sub up taunt will not affect you but i can see why you would fear it.

i suggest ice punch over yawn on swampert because if yawn puts them asleep venomoth cannot use sleep powder due to the sleep clause. if you want a phasing move than use roar or dragon tail. i prefer ice punch though because pokemon ive seen switch into swampert (Xatu who wants to bounce your SR, Zapados who wants to HP grass and net an easy OHKO, yanmega get in before rocks get the speed boost and giga drain if you stay in, and roserade setting up a layer of spikes on the predict switch ko with grass move if stay in. ice punch is SE on all the above pokemon) will not suspect Ice punch. it wont OHKO any of them but losing 1/4 to a 1/2 of thier hp is something they wont like and they'll think twice b4 switching in again.
