First UU, then the world!

Hi I’m Captain Sarkasim, this is my first UU team; it uses sets that I have designed the movesets and EVs for. I would probably describe it as homebrew. I have tested it out and made some changes from what it once was, and I think it is quite a solid team it works pretty well for me.

Lead:

Arcanine @ Lum Berry w/ Intimidate
Adamant Nature
252 Attack Evs 252 Speed Evs 4 HP Evs
Flare Blitz
ExtremeSpeed
Morning Sun
Toxic

This is a fairly standard set for an Arcanine, but it's in the lead slot, the simple reason for that is because I have nothing but pure HATE for lead Venasaur. But this set smashes through lead Venasaur who are stupid enough to sleep me, which is all of them. Flare Blitz is the obvious STAB. ExtremeSpeed lets him become an incredinly efficient revenge killer later in the match. Morning Sun lets him heal off all the recoil that Flare Blitz will pile up, and Toxic lets me annoy bulky waters and Uxie before I switch out.

Spinblocker:

Spiritomb @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
252 HP EVs 252 Attack EVs 4 SP.Defense EVs
Shadow Sneak
Pursuit
Trick
Will-O-Wisp

This is designed to be the ultimate bulky scout basically making you screwed once it is in, if you switch I can kill you with Pursuit or cripple the switch with Trick, and if you stay in Shadow Sneak will probably kill you. Will-O-Wisp is only for after I have tricked off the Choice Band, so that they are more likely to switch and I can get some Pursuit damage off.

Stallbreaker:

Toxicroak @ Life Orb w/Dry Skin
Jolly Nature
252 Speed EVs 252 Attack EVs 4 HP EVs
Taunt
Low Kick
Sucker Punch
Swords Dance

Toxicroak is pure brilliance; it beats EVERY bulky water, even Slowbro because they always carry Ice Beam or HP Grass over Psychic. Beating bulky waters is obviously very helpful for Donphan and Arcanine, especially since Sceptile is too frail to switch in too often. It beats most stall Pokémon after using Taunt and can always survive 3 Seismic Tosses, it also OHKOs most Clefable and Registeel with Low Kick after Stealth Rock damage. Taunt and Sucker Punch make up a great combo, guaranteeing you a strong priority move, Low Kick is for the essential STAB and Swords Dance lets me set up on bulky waters that are too stupid to switch out.

Special Sweeper:

Sceptile @ Life Orb
Naive Nature
252 Speed Evs 252 Sp.Atk Evs 4 Hp Evs
Leaf Storm
HP Ice
Leech Seed
Earthquake

Sceptile is a lethal late game sweeper, once all of my opponents grass resists are dead.
I used to use a Specstile set on this but unless they only have 1 Pokémon left they ALWAYS switch into a grass resistor so I now use Life Orb. Leaf Storm is the obvious and insanely powerful STAB, HP Ice lets me hit grass and flying types hard, Earthquake, although only boosted by Life Orb, hits Fire and Steel types hard so that they don't have such an easy time with me. Leech Seed helps me to recover Life Orb recoil and lures out Grass types for me to nail with HP Ice.

Obvious Bulky Water:

Milotic @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
92 HP Evs 96 Sp.Atk Evs 200 Sp.Def Evs 120 Defense EVs
Rest
Sleep Talk
Surf
Ice Beam

Milotic is the essential bulky water on my team and it holds my team together. I have experimented with several other sets and this one works the best. The Evs may look weird, but since I’m not using Toxic I like to use some Sp.Atk Evs so that it cans actually more than 5HKO something. Rest and Sleep Talk are great on Milotic, as its ability is essentially Guts for Defense! While asleep Milotic becomes an almost impenetrable wall.
It has to switch in a lot to take hits for my more fragile Pokémon.

Spinner and Rocks User:

Donphan @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
248 Atk Evs 252 Defense Evs 8 HP Evs
Earthquake
Ice Shard
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock

Donphan is a terrifically bulky Pokémon and a great spinner that can set up rocks as well. Donphan’s ground typing might seem to give it some nasty weaknesses, but this thing can easily stand up to stuff like Kabutops, as Kabutops can’t OHKO it without rain or a Choice Band. Earthquake serves Donphan well as its STAB and provides great coverage with Ice Shard. Ice Shard lets him revenge kill mildly weakened grass or flying types, as well as letting it smash flying types that try and set up on me. Rapid Spin lets me get rid of entry hazards that Milotic hates switching into. Finally Stealth Rock is that universally useful move that is great for warding off Scyther, Moltres or any other powerful sweeper that is weak to Stealth Rock.

So that is my team, please rate it, suggest improvements for it and point out any flaws and how to overcome them. It took me ages to write and I would appreciate any input, thank you Smogon!
Changes are in Italic.

Arcanine defiatley wants Morning Sun over Chrunch. Flare Blitz does more damage to Uxie then Chrunch, and Morning sun can heal off recoil as well as provide you with a good move to heal late game. Thunder Fang is very strange in the lead spot as Milotic and Lanturn can easily take it and surf back. Toxic is maybe the best option in that slot to be more effective against bulky waters as well as things like uxie. I would use an Adamant nature too because all Jolly outspeeds is Heracross which you can OHKO anyway. Plus, you should have intimidate for physical leads like the afformentioned Heracross. Here is the best set:

Arcanine @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
- Flare Blitz
- Extremespeed
- Morning Sun
- Toxic

ThunderPunch on Toxicroak is another useless move, Low Kick does the same amount of damage. I would replace it with Swords Dance to raise your attack to better levels and maybe sweep. Sceptile doesn't learn Slude Bomb, so I would use HP Ice instead of that and HP rock to hit both Grass and Flying types. You then a free slot to LEech Seed or something.

Also, both Donphan and Milotic should use the sets I just linked you to.

Thanks -Charmander-, i'll make those changes to Arcanine and I only just realised that Sceptile doesn't learn Sludge Bomb, so i'll make some set changes to him. I don't use Assurance on Donphan because I can switch in Spiritomb on ghosts and SS or Pursuit them. I am also gonig to make some EV changes on Milotic, I only use some Sp.Atk EVs on it because otherwise it can barely dent anything.

Try adding a stealth rocker to you team so donphan can run head smash. If you predict right you can nail any ghost that comes in... providing it hits.

Ok, since you have a good reason not to use Assurance I'll let go of that.

Actually, now that i've thought about it, you don't need a sleep absorber. Arcanine OHKOs Venusaur with Flare Blitz and Lum Berry takes care of sleep absorber. I would realy replace Milotic's set with the Life Orb Tank set on-sight.

good luck.

Ok thanks for the further advice -Charmander- and DFrog, running Head Smash on Donphan isn't a good idea it's ability is Sturdy, not Rock Head. I just realised that Donphan would be a great suicide lead in Gen5 because it gets Sturdy and Stealth Rock, is immune to Sandstorm damage and can recover the damage taken from a Fake Out with 1 turn of Leftovers. Although Gigaiath will probably be more popular.
