I have yet ANOTHER team, this one is actually competent! But, of course, like most of mine.
It has a gimmick.
Bill Clinton (Tornadus-Therian) @ King's Rock
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Acrobatics
- U-turn
- Fling
This is the gimmick. Fling king's rock to flinch opponent, and at the same time, boost Acrobatics. I mostly went with Therian, even though it has lower attack than normal, for the boosted defense and Regenerator.
Superpower is surprisingly effective at one-shotting Tyranitar. Acrobatics is boosted to 110 BP not counting STAB thanks to fling.
U-Turn for momentum.
This is my typical lead, and is mostly good for tanking hits.
My typical strategy, no matter the case, unless I believe they will outspeed, is to begin with fling. For those not aware, flinging a king's rock is a 100% chance to flinch. Some might say running no item is better, but it breaks sashes.
Pylons (Togekiss) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Defog
- Thunder Wave
- Heal Bell
- Dazzling Gleam / Tri Attack
"YOU MUST BUILD ADDITONIAL PYLONS!"
Pylons is a defensive Togekiss. Thunder Wave is very good for parahax, heal bell to be a cleric, Defog for defogging, and a filler move for some damage.
No I am not going to use Air Slash. I hate flinchhax and hate flinchhaxxing people forever. Bill is just an exception...
It's a cleric, but with a small bit of offense.
Jim Noir (Heracross) (M) @ Heracronite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Pin Missile
- Focus Punch
- Bullet Seed / Rock Blast
Jimmy and The Prodigy are from one of my other OU teams, (Not on the forums... yet.), and are a bit better than the other two.
Pin Missile for skill link goodness, Bullet seed for... Bullet seed. Rock Blast is a good option for it too.
Focus punch + Sub is an idea I got off a Dun Deal video, and found out it works much better than I would have imagined.
This would be more of the Bulky Offense.
The Prodigy (Gengar) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Energy Ball
I love this Gengar. It is too good!
Specsgar is a INSANELY powerful threat, with specs making it's special attack equivalent to 500+!
I run these moves for coverage, and I put this thing on so many teams it isn't even funny.
I have swept quite a bit with this guy, and see no reasons to change him. If you want to be a little less fast, you can run Modest, but I like the max speed a bit more.
This one would be the fast special sweeping type.
Adrien Brody (Quagsire) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Stockpile
- Recover
- Toxic
- Scald
This set was made a while ago, I believe Quagsire was in OU back then.
It's very VERY standard.
Don't think I need to explain this one.
The standard tanking tank.
Teccode (Metagross) @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Hone Claws
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash / Zen Headbutt
The name is Tech + Code. creative huehuehue.
I run Hone Claws not only for powering up, but to make meteor mash / Zen Headbutt to not miss.
Bullet punch for priority.
Earthquake for other Metagrosses (Metagri?)
Teccode is more of a late-game sweeper, and very handy for dealing with fairies.
Raw pasting data thing.
