FloatVire........unexpected/10

Out of my.....35 teams, this team has racked up a 10-0 record on Shoddy. Let's get to it:

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 220 Spd/ 36 Atk
Nature: Rash
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- U-Turn
- Grass Knot

My lead. Decent power straight off the bat. 3HKOs Gyara leads with Psychic IIRC. U Turn screws over Cresselia, which I U Turn to....

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EV: 104 HP/ 252 Atk/ 152 Spd
Nature: Adamant
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Night Slash
- Stone Edge

This is a worry. 2 Scarfd off the bat. I'm seriously considering CB, as CB would hurt a lot more.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def/ 252 HP/ 4 SDef
Nature: Bold
- Thunder Wave
- Softboiled
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss

ClericBliss. I'm thinking of changing it to full special, as Weezing is a beast on it's own. This swept a team once. Beatiful.

Weezing @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Spd
Nature: Bold
- Thunderbolt
- Will o Wisp
- Pain Split
- Haze

My physical wall. This burns physical sweepers, Hazes stat changes, and T Bolts Gyara and Water types, aswell as Pain Splitting guys.

Floatzel @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Spd/ 4 Atk
Nature: Jolly
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Baton Pass
- Bulk Up

The main man. This guy causes switches, so a Bulk Up works. Taunting status inducers, and someone that is known for thunder attacks, I use Baton Pass to.....

Electivire @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 180 Spd/ 76 Atk
Nature: Mild
- Hidden Power Ice
- Thunderbolt
- Cross Chop
- Flamethrower

The beast. This guy is a beast with a MD boost, and sometimes without :).

There ya have it :).

If you choose to retain Choice Scarf on Heracross, you should probably maximize Speed so you can outrun some high-Speed things like Weavile; 152 Speed EVs is for the Choice Band set.

Floatzel and Electivire together isn't particularly effective; since Floatzel is extremely fragile, there isn't much impetus for an opponent to switch to another Pokemon just to use an Electric attack, because it will keel over to a lot of other things. Therefore, Electivire doesn't get the Speed boost and the only attack that's boosted is Cross Chop. Even with a few Defense boosts, Earthquakes will still hurt very much. Electivire really isn't the best recipient; there's some better, stronger, faster choices, like Garchomp. Also, Floatzel is one of the rare Pokemon whose HP is so much higher than the defenses that it gets better overall defenses by investing into them before HP.

Besides the lack of real synergy, this team also lacks a Rock resistance and a convincing Dark or Water resistance, leaving it open to rampage by Tyranitar; everything gets OHKOed by Choice Banded Stone Edge except Weezing, which is 2HKOed. Weezing is also not too great against Crunch, which is an easy 3HKO. Gliscor over Weezing would help with that problem, but would leave you open to Gyarados. Starmie over Floatzel might help that somewhat; Electivire doesn't lose that much support, since all it really gets from Bulk Up is a more powerful Cross Chop.

This is a pretty balanced team. A few small changes first. Max Def instead of HP on Floatzel instead. Max defense lets it take physical hits alot better and you won't take special hits very well anyways. Also if you are gonna use a Scarf Heracross its better to have max speed on it instead since 244 speed with scarf will only reach 366 speed failing to outspeed Alakazam, Weavile and others which you could easily OHKO. I also noticed you are BPing to a mostly special Electivire...

You are lacking a Dragon resist which could give you problems with alot of stuff.

Anyways the specific things that give your team trouble are

Offensive Threats:

Garchomp: Yes your team is pretty easily beat by Garchomp. Nothing on your team can even outrun and OHKO it. Weezing only has a 55% or 47% chance of burning Garchomp in the sand and if it has Substitute you have no chance against it. Even with Haze it is still 3HKOd if it has to waste 1 turn hazing. CBchomp also gets to 2HKO Weezing and OHKO everything else.

Lucario: The standard SD LO Lucario can set up easily on a bad choiced move and then proceed to sweep your team. Weezing has a 82% chance of getting 2HKOd with sand or stealth rocks (so 100% with both). Again Haze will not help you enough here. Specs Lucario is also a problem since everything here is either 1 or 2HKOd again.

Deoxys-S: If you are playing shoddy ladder then you will face Deoxys-S eventually. It can easily 2HKO everything on your team also.

Wobbuffet: Besides Floatzel it can stall out or Counter/Mirror Coat everything on your team 1 vs 1. Even Heracross can get caught on a bad choiced move.

Mamoswine: With Blizzard it 2HKOs Weezing and takes out everything else you have also.

Tyranitar: CBtar will be able to 2HKO Weezing and OHKO everything else. Boah gives you even more problems since you won't even be able to revenge kill it effectively.

Mix sweepers like Infernape and Salamence are giving your team problems since you just have a physical wall and a special wall. They both 2HKO both your walls and can OHKO everything else.

You lack a status absorber and will have problems with Breloom and Gengar. Blissey stands no chance against Breloom and Weezing can't touch it at all. Gengar can sub right in Blissey's face since its only attacking move is Seismic Toss. Mismagius can do the same thing, but set up also which is even more dangerous.

Defensive Threats:

Skarmory + Blissey + Cresselia: Scarfcross gets walled by Skarmory while Electivire gets walled by Cresselia. These 3 on a team with residual damage set up and phazing can easily take out most of your team.

Calm Mind Suicune: This is also a big problem. With Rest and Calm Mind it sets up pretty easily. Weezing can't switch in to phaze it in fear of being 2HKOd while Blissey can't touch it. Even with the resist Floatzel can't take repeated surfs.

I can see you having a weakness to bulky waters in general since its hard for you to take them out.

Well I went through and found alot of weakness in your team and I am gonna reccomend what to replace while keeping as much as possible. Fisrt off a Bronzong solves alot of your problems. It adds something that could beat Garchomp, Mamoswine, Deoxys and possibly Tyranitar. I would replace Weezing with it. Also adding Starmie on your team over Floatzel would help with the problem of residual damage, Infernape and counters Gyarados since you replaced your counter to it. You have more problems to the less common Magnezones and Heracross now, but you want to cover the big threats first. Floatzel never really accomplished much to begin with. Easily changing your Heracross to a CBcross and Blissey to a CMBliss removes your problems with Bulky waters and helps against defensive threats more in general. Only problem is you lose Aromatherapy support and maybe Thunderwave support but now you are alot more offensive. Now Electivire is pretty mediocre even with a motor drive boost. Blissey already provides a good electric and thunderwave switch in so you would be better off a DDGyarados. Gyarados helps against fighting types which gives your team problems (Weezing couldn't handle them too well before anyways.)

Overall I saw your team had problems to alot of common high powered threats. You can't ever base anything off of 10 battles on the shoddy ladder since the average battler there isn't very good anyways.
