Despite its middling stats, Talonflame ekes out a niche by using its unique defensive profile to use Defog against or otherwise handle Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Skarmory, Clefable, and Mienshao. Brave Bird deals great damage to Grass- and Fighting-type foes such as Mega Venusaur, Hydrapple, Serperior, and Buzzwole. Alternatively, Flare Blitz can deal with Pokemon such as Skarmory and Scizor. Talonflame can spread burn with Will-O-Wisp to the physical attackers that pivot into it such as Iron Boulder and Tyranitar, allowing it to status foes more reliably than Flame Body. U-turn is an excellent pivoting move, but it often comes at the expense of losing Defog or Will-O-Wisp. With 240 Speed EVs and a Jolly nature , Talonflame outspeeds Iron Boulder. Talonflame finds itself best utilized on balanced teams, being able to freely switch into foes and not only spread status but also remove hazards and quickly pivot out. Bulky hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Gastrodon make for excellent teammates that Talonflame can switch in to after baiting in an Electric-type threat, but they can also assist versus other threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Krookodile. Alternatively, Blissey can be a great special sponge that can set hazards for Talonflame and is able to switch into Greninja and Volcanion; in return, Talonflame checks the likes of Mienshao and Buzzwole for Hippowdon, Gastrodon, and Blissey. Serperior complements Talonflame well by making use of strong Grass-type attacks to remove the likes of Rotom-W and Gastrodon and spreading status. In return, Talonflame can make use of those threats being gone to clear hazards or status Pokemon like Celesteela and Aegislash that would annoy Serperior. Slowking assists Talonflame by being an excellent pivot against Water-types such as Keldeo and Rotom-W. Mienshao, with its Fighting-type, not only is an excellent pivot teammate, but it's also one of the best options to help Talonflame deal with the likes of Tyranitar and Hydreigon.

There needs to be an intro here, something to explain what Talon's role is but also explaining why its so low on VR. If you genuinely want me to suggest an intro, DM. Both Brave Bird and Flare Blitz have the same base power and accuracy while dealing relatively the same amount of recoil to Talonflame while dealing heavy STAB damage to the likes of Grass-types like Mega Venusaur, Hydrapple, and Serperior, while the later can quickly remove the likes of Scizor with quad effective damage, so to use either option is based on preference. Brave Bird is slashed over Flare Blitz here intentionally, as hitting the Grass types is slightly more relevant. For this reason, I would remove this first sentence and add the contents into the following two sentences. Brave Bird deals great damage to additional Fighting- and Flying- weak foes such as Mega Gallade and Sinistcha Given the moving of the Grass-type info here, you can just mention MVenu, Apple, Serperior and then include Buzzwole alongside Fighting types, removing the mention of Sinistcha. Flare Blitz alternatively can deal with Fire-resistantweak Pokemon such as Skarmory and Amoongus! Generally we don't use exclamation marks with the exception of a fun intro sentence. With 240 Spe Speed EVs, Talonflame outspeeds the likes of Iron Boulder, another contender in the matter of fast physical attackers. Fluff, unsure what this adds especially because you aren't comparing it to anything Defog removes entry hazards that would otherwise be pesky to the rest of Talonflame's team Specific examples here would be great.. Alternatively, Talonflame can spread burn to the likes of P physical attackers that pivot into it such as Iron Boulder or Tyranitar, making it a more reliable form of status spread as Flame Body has a lesser chance errr this sentence is just awkwardly worded. Something like "spreading status more reliably than Flame Body" would be better.. U-Turn U-turn is an excellent form of pivot pivotting move, allowing Talonflame to switch out of incoming threats. Roost is its most reliable form of recovery, allowing longevity amongst Talonflame what does this mean? also might not be necessary to explain why the defensive mon uses Roost. Talonflame finds itself best being utilized on balanced teams, being able to freely switch into foes easier and not only spread status but to remove the likes of pesky hazards and fastly quickly pivot out. Bulky Hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Ting-Lu make for excellent teammates that Talonflame can switch into after baiting a Electric-type threat, but they can also assist versus other threats such as Mega Aerodactyl, Choice Scarf Krookodile, and Zeraora! Alternatively Blissey can also be a great Special Attack sponge that can setup hazards for Talonflame, being able to switch into Greninja and Primarina. Serperior compliments Talonflame well by making use of strong Grass-type STAB to also remove the likes of Water-, Rock-, and Ground-type switch ins while alternatively also providing status. Talonflame can in return make use of those threats being gone to easily pivot in and get right to work with hazard removal or providing decent damage with either STAB option Talon's role is defensive, so emphasize that. It really doesn't do much damage to anything. Slowking making use of Teleport along with Future Sight, can pivot out slower into another teammate or even Talonflame! Mienshao with its Fighting- type, not only is an excellent pivot teammate, but its one of the best options to help Talonflame deal with the likes of Tyranitar, another Rock type threat.

There is quite a bit to get into here.

The wording and use of fluff phrases like "the likes of" is very distracting in the writing, and doesn't add much information-wise to the piece. I really recommend you check out both my writing guide and the Smogon Spelling and Grammar Standards. I did quite a few GP edits here as well, but will try to streamline it much more after my follow-up check. I recommend rereading your work out loud to see if it sounds right, as some of the sentences are fine grammatically but fairly clunky or awkward.
You obviously have an understanding of the tier, but Talonflame is a very niche pokemon and I don't know if that was communicated well here. I'd appreciate a little more explanation of why specifically talonflame finds itself so low on the VR (inability to switch into threats like Greninja, Aegi, Boulder, can't actually reliably check Apple/MVenu, etc.) Additionally, we tend to mention mons on the lower end of the VR sporadically. I know Talon doesn't matchup well into a lot of the upper end of the VR, but its teammates often do, and so I suggest trying to replace mentions of Krook, Prim, and other such mons with higher viability options.

I know this is a lot of feedback, but your enthusiasm and knowledge of the tier is amazing and I think you could be a great writer. If you have any questions or want specific help with a section of this, please DM and I'd love to help. After implementing please tag me or ping me and I will recheck this before sending it to GP.

Despite its middling stats, Talonflame ekes out a niche by using its unique defensive profile to use Defog against or otherwise handle Pokemon like Ting-Lu, Skarmory, Clefable, and Mienshao. Both Brave Bird and Flare Blitz have the same base power and accuracy while dealing relatively the same amount of recoil to Talonflame while the later the phrase "the latter" is typically used to compare and contrast, not as a standalone phrase. can quickly remove the likes of Scizor with quad effective damage. Like I said, I'd prefer if this sentence were incorporated into the separate discussions. Not only is this "Dex Info", or information that a reader can find using the Pokedex and is therefore unnecessary, but Flare Blitz' ability to OHKO Scizor can just fit in the sentence discussing Flare Blitz. Brave Bird deals great damage to Fighting- and Grass-type (RS Remove Space, the space before Type is incorrect) foes such as Mega Venusaur, Hydrapple, and Serperior, and Buzzwole. Flare Blitz alternatively can deal with Fire-weak (RS) Pokemon such as Skarmory and Amoongus Amoonguss is also weak to Flying, is there a better example to use here? Can just replace with Scizor. With 240 Speed EVs and a Jolly Nature, Talonflame outspeeds Iron Boulder The sentence discussing EVs should be moved until after talking about all the move options. Defog removes entry hazards that would otherwise be pesky to the rest of Talonflame's team such as Stealth Rock from Ting-Lu Should have been more clear, by examples here I meant examples of teammates, but honestly this sentence is fine without that as well. Alternatively, Talonflame can spread burn to the physical attackers that pivot into it such as Iron Boulder or Tyranitar, spreading status more reliably than Flame Body. Because Wisp is slashed both as an option over Defog and a main move, it should be explained that U-turn is used at the expense of a significant amount of utility, either Wisp or Defog, in order to support strong attackers U-turn is an excellent pivotting move, allowing Talonflame to switch out of incoming threats but often comes at the expense of utility of Defog or Will-O-Wisp Not only is this Dex info (readers will know what U-turn does), but it doesn't explain why one may consider Uturn over other moves as well as why it is a secondary option, not a primary option. Talonflame finds itself best utilized on balanced teams, being able to freely switch into foes easier and not only spread status but remove pesky fluff/unecessary wording hazards and quickly pivot out. Bulky Hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Ting-Lu Ting-Lu isn't seen often on Balance, something like Gastrodon would be a better example make for excellent teammates that Talonflame can switch into after baiting in an Electric-type threat, but they can also assist versus other threats such as Mega Aerodactyl, Choice Scarf Krookodile, and Zeraora Zeraora is an Electric-type threat and therefore already covered under the earlier part of the sentence. Another example would be better here! Again, we don't typically Exclamation points but even if we did this sentence doesn't really warrant one. Additionally, you need to also list how Talonflame helps these options in return. What does it check for Hippo and Gastro? Alternatively Blissey can also be a great Special Attack sponge that can setup hazards for Talonflame, being able to switch into Greninja and Primarina Would prefer you to mention Volcanion here instead of Primarina. Again, what does Talonflame do for Blissey? Talon checks Mienshao and Buzzwole for both the Ground-types and Blissey, maybe you can mention that Serperior compliments Talonflame well by making use of strong Grass-type STAB to also remove the likes of Water-, Rock-, and Ground-type switch ins while also providing status Specific examples of such switchins would be preferred over simply just listing types. Rotom-W comes to mind.. In return, Talonflame can make use of those threats being gone to clear hazards or status Pokemon like Celesteela and Aegislash that would annoy Serperior. Slowking making use of Teleport along with Future Sight, can pivot out slower into another teammate or even Talonflame Why does this make Slowking a good teammate? What weak matchups does it check?! See above about exclamations Mienshao with its Fighting-type (RS), not only is an excellent pivot teammate, but its one of the best options to help Talonflame deal with the likes of Tyranitar and Hydriegon. , another Rock type threat. This is more Dex info.
