Flygon Overdrive

Hello Smogon, welcome to my 2nd RMT thread. A little bout myself, I used to play a lot of 4th gen way back and when 5th gen was released, I stopped playing for a while and just recently, got back to competitive battling. I posted this rmt because i think this team has a lot of potential since most of my losses were close 1-0 to 2-0s but I'm not sure what changes to make so all suggestions are welcome.

This team focuses on forcing switches with voltturn and letting hazards pile up some damage before finishing the opponent with scarfed flygon or scarfed rotom.

I started with flygon, being one of my all time favourites. I decided on the choice scarf set, abusing u turn to force switches.

Next, I needed another poke that can keep the momentum by voltturning and I chose Rotom-H. Its fire typing helps flygon with annoying steel types, especially bronzong.

Next, I needed hazards so I chose Bronzong and Roserade for rocks and spikes support. I also needed a spinner so I chose Blastoise since it has good defenses.

Lastly, I needed a spin blocker so I chose sableye for its very useful prankster ability that can easily cripple sweepers and taunt defensive walls.

Bronzong
Levitate|Relaxed|Leftovers
252Hp /252Def /4SpDef
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rocks
-Toxic

Bronzong is the pokemon I usually lead with, unless I see Chandelure. It almost always sets up rocks thanks to its amazing bulk. Toxic allows it to cripple defensive walls such as blastoise. Gyro Ball is stab move of choice and EQ allows it to hit steel types that would otherwise resist Gyro Ball. It is able to survive till late game where I can use him to toxic something or as death fodder.

Roserade
Natural Cure|Calm|Black Sludge
252Hp /4Def /252SpDef
-Giga Drain
-Sludge Bomb
-Toxic Spikes
-Spikes

Roserade is my second hazard setter. Depending on the opponent's team, I will lay down either spikes or toxic spikes. If it is a more offensive team, I will usually lay down spikes but if it is a more defensive team, I will lay down toxic spikes. Giga drain is stab and is the main form of recovery. Sludge bomb is also stab and hits rotom-c really well, as well as a high chance of poisoning the opponent.

Blastoise
Torrent|Bold|Leftovers
252Hp /252Def /4SpDef
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Toxic
-Roar

Blastoise is, in my opinion, is one of the best spinners in UU. It has really good defenses, access to Scald, which is really useful to cripple opposing physical attackers. Roar is to prevent the opponent from setting up as well as getting rid of substitutes. Toxic wears down opposing walls.

Sableye
Prankster|Careful|Leftovers
252Hp /120Def /136SpDef
-Will o Wisp
-Foul Play
-Taunt
-Recover

Sableye is a fantastic spin blocker because of its ability. Will o Wisp stops physical attackers. Foul Play is a better move than night shade imo, since it hits every pokemon. Taunt shuts walls down and recover is there to recover and with toxic spikes support as well as blastoise and bronzong's toxic, allows it to toxic stall bulky walls.

Rotom-H
Levitate|Timid|Choice Scarf
4Hp /252SpAtk /252Spe
-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
-Overheat
-Shadow Ball

Rotom-H serves to force switches then volt switch and get switch advantage. If stealth rocks are up and blastoise is down, rotom's volt switching is limited, however, it serves to be my one and only counter to Chandelure, which is why it carries shadow ball. Thunderbolt is for more power and overheat hits everything that doesnt resist pretty hard.

Flygon
Levitate|Jolly|Choice Scarf
4Hp /252Atk /252Spe
-OUTRAGE
-Earthquake
-U-turn
-Fire Punch

Flygon does the same thing as rotom, except with u turn over volt switch. It also cleans the game up with outrage when the opponent's pokemon are within ko range and when steel and defensive walls have been taken out. Earthquake is stab and hits the otherwise annoying steel types. Fire punch hits bronzong which otherwise would completely counter flygon.

One of the hardest troubles this team faces is Chandelure. It obliterates most of my team. The only way to beat it is to bring in blastoise as a safe switch, survive an energy ball and scald it. Otherwise, rotom h can come in and shadow ball for ko, but it doesnt take hits well and requires me to sacrifice one of my pokemon.

I open to any kind of suggestions. Thx for your time

Yes, but because Pokemon always rounds down, Rotom with an odd HP stat dies on the fifth switchin to SR and Rotom with an even one dies on the fourth, so odd HP is superior. The last 4 EVs should go in SpDef so that Download Pokemon do not gain a special attack boost from switching in. Any Pokemon in UU with equal defenses should have 4 EVs in SpDef for this reason, unless you are deliberately making significant investment into defense. That means Flygon should have special defense too, not HP.

The use of Will-O-Wisp with foul play is always one I'm a little hesitant about, since fould play does damage based on your opponents attack stat burning them will only hinder your ability to KO. I suggest replacing fould play with night shade for more consistent damage, but keeping the Will-O-Wisp for burn support to ensure that you can stop sweeps from pokés such as scarf Krookodile and to burn walls that cannot be poisoned.

I wouldn't suggest using both types of spikes on roserade. Instead, just run regular spikes, seeing as roserade is on nearly every UU team, she absorbs t-spikes. Instead, try using rest or sleep powder > t-spikes

I wouldn't go for both types of spikes on roserade myself as shinysyduck said. Go for rest over toxic spikes, sleep powder is unfortunately illegal with spikes. I would personally go for porygon2 over blastoise. Rapid spin doesn't seem that important for your team, with only rotom-h being any real reason to carry it. It would cover your chandelure weakness much better.

Agreeing with above posters Rest > Toxic Spikes on Roserade and Porygon2 > Blastoise using this set:
Porygon2 @ eviolite
Trait: Trace
EV's: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Careful Nature ( +SDef, - Atk)
-Ice beam
-Thunderbolt / Discharge
-Thunder wave / Tri-beam
-Recover
