[OVERVIEW]

Flygon is one of the best utility options in NU. As a Choice Scarf user, it can dispatch common offensive Pokemon like Salazzle, Copperajah, Guzzlord, and Tyrantrum. As a defensive presence, it is an excellent answer to Copperajah and provides great defensive utility through its resistance to Rock and immunity to Electric and Ground, helping it against foes like Tyrantrum, Aerodactyl, and Rotom-C. All of this is in addition to Flygon providing support through U-turn and Defog. The biggest issue with Flygon, however, ends up being its relatively average Attack stat; Flygon is unable to reliably revenge kill foes like Starmie, Machamp, and Sirfetch'd without a good bit of prior chip damage, and even foes like Tyrantrum and Diancie can take a hit from full health. Flygon is also very vulnerable to being taken advantage of by setup sweepers like Swords Dance Decidueye and Shell Smash Blastoise when it's Choice locked. Furthermore, Flygon's bulk, even when invested in, isn't the greatest, meaning powerful attackers like Sirfetch'd and Starmie can easily overwhelm it.

Flygon runs Dragon Claw alongside Outrage so it can still revenge kill foes like Talonflame and Rotom-C without being revenge killed by a Fairy-type immediately after. Alternatively, Flygon can run Defog for nearly guaranteed entry hazard removal in a pinch or Toxic to cripple physical walls like Sylveon, Mantine, and Mudsdale that Flygon struggles against. You can even consider Throat Chop to deal great damage to checks like Bronzong and Dhelmise.

Flygon requires assistance from powerful wallbreakers like Starmie and Sirfetch'd if it wishes to clean teams late-game. In return, Flygon can bring Starmie in against physical walls like Bronzong and Mudsdale, while Sirfetch'd appreciates Flygon pressuring Poison-types. Similarly, pairing Flygon with other pivots like Rotom-C and Talonflame is an effective way to slowly wear down the opposing team. Flygon struggles with Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Comfey, so teammates like Copperajah, Escavalier, and Salazzle are good to have. In return, Flygon can deal with Fire-types for the former two and Dragon-types for the latter. Garbodor is also an excellent partner, checking Fairy-types and supplying Spikes support so Flygon can clean late-game more easily.

Flygon is one of NU's most consistent pivots; it can easily switch into foes like Copperajah, Salazzle, and Choice-locked Tyrantrum, force them out, and gain momentum with U-turn. It's also immune to both Electric and Ground, letting it bother common Choice item users like Rotom-C and opposing Flygon. This set's last moveslot is mostly up to your team's needs. Toxic is great to cripple walls like Mudsdale, Mantine, and Dhelmise, but Defog works if you need entry hazard control, and Flygon is an especially solid hazard remover because of its Copperajah matchup. Furthermore, if both Defog and Toxic are necessary for your team, then you can drop U-turn in favor of having both moves. 24 Speed EVs ensure Flygon outspeeds Adamant Tyrantrum.

Flygon's reliability as a pivot makes pairing it with strong wallbreakers like Sirfetch'd, Tyrantrum, and Machamp an excellent decision, especially given their difficulties finding safe opportunities to come in. Flygon's special bulk is rather lacking, so pair it with Pokemon such as Copperajah, Sylveon, and Vaporeon that can take on special attackers. Additionally, Sylveon and Vaporeon provide cleric support, which is useful given Flygon's tendency to get statused. Flygon is an excellent Salazzle answer, so Pokemon like Vileplume, Decidueye, and Escavalier greatly benefit from its presence.

Dragon Dance gives Flygon much greater late-game potential, letting it more reliably clean up weakened teams because of the damage increase. Such sets typically run Throat Chop alongside STAB moves for coverage and Life Orb or Lum Berry as the item choice. Choice Band amps up Flygon's damage output and retains its ability to revenge kill thanks to First Impression, but this set is similarly exploitable to the Choice Scarf one. Similarly, Flygon can go mixed with a Life Orb to lure in and heavily damage traditional checks like Bronzong, Vileplume, and Mudsdale.

Checks and Counters
====

**Fairy-types**: Sylveon can stomach even boosted hits from Flygon and easily KO it in return with Moonblast. Comfey struggles to take Flygon on after a Dragon Dance, but it can 2HKO Flygon with Dazzling Gleam.

**Water-types**: Mantine and Vaporeon can take a boosted hit from Flygon and threaten a Scald burn in return. Offensive Water-types like Starmie and Inteleon can easily take out Flygon with Ice Beam if it's slower than they are. Blastoise can easily set up against Choice Scarf Flygon and threaten to sweep in return.

**Physical Walls**: Vileplume can prevent Flygon from boosting further against it with Strength Sap, whereas Mudsdale can tank its hits well enough and poison it with Toxic, although Lum Berry Flygon can pose a problem if it boosts multiple times against Mudsdale, and Mudsdale has no other good way to threaten damage in return.

[OVERVIEW]

Flygon is one of NU's top revenge killers thanks to it dispatching common offensive Pokemon like Salazzle, Copperajah, and Tyrantrum. Additionally, Flygon's good overall coverage make it a solid sweeper with Dragon Dance, easily muscling by checks like Bronzong, Vaporeon, and Dhelmise after a boost. The biggest issue with Flygon, however, ends up being its relatively average Attack stat; Flygon is unable to reliably revenge kill foes like Starmie, Machamp, and Sirfetch'd without a good bit of prior chip damage, and even foes like Tyrantrum and Dragalge (I am not sure I would mention Dragalge here since it has a 37,5% chance of being OHKOed by Earthquake but its your call) can take a hit from full health. Flygon is also very vulnerable to being taken advantage of by setup sweepers like Swords Dance Decidueye and Shell Smash Blastoise when it's Choice locked. Furthermore, Dragon Dance Flygon can still struggle to bypass its sturdier answers, namely Sylveon and Vileplume. Lastly, despite Flygon's typing and ability providing it with some defensive utility, its mediocre bulk leaves it unable to adequately take advantage of its resistances.

Throat Chop prevents Hyper Voice Sylveon from effectively answering Flygon and provides important coverage for foes like Bronzong and Dhelmise. Flygon has a couple other options for coverage too: Fire Punch is a good mid-ground attack for several of Flygon's checks such as Bronzong, Vileplume, and Dhelmise, while Iron Tail hits Fairy-types like Sylveon and Comfey harder than any other move Flygon has. Life Orb is the preferred item to make up for Flygon's uninspiring Attack stat, but Lum Berry helps against status spreaders like Rotom-C, Bronzong, and Vaporeon.

Flygon can struggle to bypass certain physical walls like Sylveon, Vileplume, and Mudsdale even with a Dragon Dance boost; this makes strong special attackers like Starmie, Salazzle, and Zoroark great partners. Similarly, pairing Flygon with other setup sweepers such as Blastoise, Decidueye, and Salazzle helps to overload shared checks. Flygon also has difficulty setting up because of its lackluster bulk; this makes dual screens support from the likes of Xatu and Espeon nice to have. Dual screens also make it harder for priority users like Golisopod to revenge kill Flygon.

Defensive utility sets with moves like Defog and U-turn let Flygon capitalize on its defensive traits and access to Roost, and its good matchup into Copperajah makes it a capable entry hazard remover. Choice Band amps up Flygon's damage output and retains its ability to revenge kill thanks to First Impression, but this set is similarly exploitable to the Choice Scarf one. This looks great, sorry for taking so long for the first check lol. QC 1/2 when implemented.

I’d probably mention Guzzlord as very few things actually take it out in 1, but this and the rest of the introduction is good.

I would expand on Dragon Dance in the OO; maybe a second sentence alluding to Throat Chop or potential items as newer users may not be able to figure that out.

The scarf set is perfect.

The content of the bulky set is good, but I would add on that it provides key immunities. I know you allude to this at the start as well, but checking those things off the teambuilding checklist is a major positive when using the RH set and it keeps a lot of things honest with what moves they click. Just a simple sentence add on about that should be sufficient.

rest is superb, 2/2
