Monotype Flying High In the Rain

Been having fun with a Flying type team, thought I would share it here and seek improvements. I bounce around between 1300's and 1500's.

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sandsear Storm
- Taunt
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave

:Landorus: is running its typical Life Orb set. I put in Taunt despite the speed so I can catch some regular Stealth Rock users off guard. :Skarmory: and :Corviknight: both become pivot fodder on steel teams after the Taunt. Main answer for Electric teams. Not much to say about :Landorus: , but just as reliable as ever.

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Knock Off
- Bleakwind Storm
- U-turn
- Focus Blast

:Tornadus-Therian: is another typical Assault Vest set. Due to rain being featured on the team to boost the signature moves' accuracy, Heat Wave was taken off for Focus Blast. Regenerator makes :Tornadus-Therian: a safe mon to pivot into and get a free Knock Off. Not as offensive as the rest of the team, but still can blow holes with Bleakwind Storm, as well as making a pivot on switches to get into a better position.

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Wildbolt Storm
- Dark Pulse
- Grass Knot

:Thundurus-Therian: is the Scarf wielder. The second main lead, most of the time Volt Switch is picked to get a different member in depending on the lead. Grass Knot is to hit any Ground types that switch in expecting to cover a Volt Switch. Wildbolt Storm lets :Thundurus-Therian: hit especially hard in the rain, and the paralysis is a nice bonus.

Corviknight @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Mirror Armor
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

After everything being fast and a special attacker, I needed a physical attacker and a way to keep Stealth Rocks off the field in case :Landorus: isn't in to Taunt the Rocker. Brave Bird is the STAB choice over Iron Head solely because of damage output since :Corviknight: is mainly delegated to Defog duty. Slow U-Turn also helps for positioning. Benefits from the rain by reducing damage :Corviknight: takes from Fire-type moves.

Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Extreme Speed

:Dragonite: is the main physical attacker for the team. While :Dragonite: doesn't really benefit from the rain with this set, a physical attacker is still needed so the team does not get stalled out by the likes of :Blissey: and other special attack sponges. A little iffy on Earthquake for the set, but :Dragonite: would have no reliable way to hit Steel types. The mon I am most on the fence with for the team.

Pelipper @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Weather Ball
- Hurricane
- Ice Beam
- U-turn

:Pelipper: is extremely key for this team. With Drizzle, it sets that beautiful rain for (almost) everyone to take advantage of. :Pelipper: also his surprisingly hard with Choice Specs. I put Ice Beam over Hydro Pump mainly for coverage. It only stays in and hits if I know for sure it can tank a hit and survive, though I am considering switching to a safer set for :Pelipper: for more rain chances.

As far as the weaknesses of the team, it is very special bias. If :Dragonite: gets taken out, the team has no way of breaking past the special sponges. I have noticed that physical :Dragapult: sets tend to do me in easily. I would appreciate any advice if there is any to give, I have a lot of fun with this team and would like to see how far it can go.

sup fam, dope team all around and i love how you are utilizing rain with the unique moves but we cann make some changes to better your team <3
Lando i I would put Focus Blast over Sludge Wave, pretty straight forward, it complements sandsear storm being a true steel killer (only thing that "walls it" is air balloon gholdengo which you can just psychic a turn.) It also allows you to deal with heatran which most of time runs balloon and hitting ting lu better which is appreciated.

Tornadus-T
Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 44 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave (Good so your not just walled by gholdengo and corviknight. can also fish for burns as well which is funny af haha.)
- Knock Off
- U-turn

AV Torn with these evs is the reason why this mon be annoying as hell for many types. Great Utility mon overall while the evs allow you to outspeed the ogerpon formes and iron valiant while also dealing with them via Hurricane (its like a 50 percent chance to OHKO the pons). Bleakwind is cute yeah but you would have to chip the ogerpons first. 44 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ogerpon-Hearthflame: 276-326 (91.6 - 108.3%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
44 SpA Tornadus-Therian Bleakwind Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ogerpon-Hearthflame: 252-296 (83.7 - 98.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Wildbolt Storm Thunder (hits harder higher chance to paralyze.)
- Dark Pulse
- Grass Knot

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 12 Atk / 100 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Body Press
- Defog
- Roost
This is an old set but this looks beneficial to this team, nice mix wall being able to take out both flutter mane and bisharp which is huge. (Especially Bisharp since it tries to swap in against defog attempts.)

Dragonite the only change i would make is to make it jolly nature instead of Adamant. This allows you to outspeed flutter mane, zamazenta, and dragapult after a Dragon Dance which you say Dragapult becomes a pain in the ass for your team.

Lastly Pelipper.
Pelipper @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 212 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Weather Ball
- Ice Beam
- U-turn
Just change the evs so your still hitting hard while outspeeding adamant max speed bisharp.

Hope this helps and like i said b4, dope team. Happy gaming <3
