Without another self-switching move, Rainman had to rely on Baton Pass as his only means of regaining the control of the match-up, a fact that Dogfish exploits by inducing Paralysis. So now Rainman will have to factor that major status in mind before sending in his next mon, although there aren't that many potential checks to the examiner's team that outspeed said team members to begin with.

What makes it weirder is that despite spamming her trademark Scope Lens STAB Dazzling Gleam, Chocobo-Togekiss still lost the damage race against Kaede-Cyclohm (whom should be green and fluffy instead of yellow and fluffy, BTW). Albeit barely, so it looks like Rainman is set to overcome his mental obstacles and outplay Dogfish the next round.

*Slurrrrp*

Wait not that kind of suck? Oh, okay. Well, again Rainman desperately used Baton Pass in an effort to finally gain that precious match-up control, a fight where he had lost about half of the moment Gym Committee unveiled the examiner's team. And oh my god, did Glalie hit as if Groudon learns SF LO Ice Punch...... At the cost of 36 HP, Rainman is now about to reveal his final team member against the formidable examiner's team, thus locking his match-ups and leaving everything to skill and control. Will the chicken dance be worth it? Find out after our next round of commercials!

As Firaga-Charizard Mega-evolves, the crowds reacted uproariously in the stands, seeing the potential for a fantastic slugfest between two immensely powerful Mega-evolved Pokemon. But Karma did nothing except sticking out his massive tongue, Taunting Firaga with something, probably like "yo skinny Dragon-wannabe waltzing around in the skies!"

Firaga, of course, doesn't like taking catcalls. Sweating profusely in the heat, which steamed and blurred his outline, he gathered the sun's enhanced infrared radiation to power-up his attacks, landing a Fire Blast followed by a Heat Wave to Karma- and it looks like he scored a KO! Flying closer to take a look, however, was Firaga's biggest mistake. It was at that moment, when Karma suddenly just poofed soundlessly into snowflakes, that Firaga knew he had to fly as high as possible to escape them. But one tiny flake landed on his fire- and it just shrank into a sliver of flame, severely weakening the Mega-Charizard!

Wait. This could not possibly be the same teacher who nurtured and protected his tutees..... THAT YELLOW BLOB IS AN IMPOSTER! WE HAVE ANOTHER YELLOW SHINIGAMI, CALL IN THE ANTI-SENSEI SQUAD!!!!!!!11!!

Welcome back to ranked gym, where contestants keep climbing up to aspire to the title Gym Leader. Okuda-Stratagem floats in, fires a beam of Ancient Power, and in his rage, Firaga-Charizard is unable to evade the attacks, choosing to pierce through it with a Solar Beam attack. Unfortunately, the charge is too slow, even under the bright Sun.... I have no idea what is the Rage Candy Bar there for - maybe Okuda-Stratagem had to be bribed with sweets to keep fighting at the sight of sensei so willingly sacrificing a team member?

*gulp* speaking of..... where's the anti-sensei squad? If he starts noticing me I'm probably dead..... What should I do? And how is he going to treat the spectators?

"That's enough, Shinigami,"

At Dogfish's curt order, Boltair emits a shimmering Thunder Wave, using it to rein in the assassin's nature. Turning his full attention to the battle, he found Rainman narrowing his eyes at the unconventional choice of item. "Oh I assure you, we eat this during teatime," said Dogfish.

"Fat chance. Kain, pierce those defenses!"

Kain-Tomohawk launched a Focused barrage of chakra, but the first two was countered neatly by Okuda-Stratagem releasing her Hidden Power and firing an Electro Ball. Finally the third collided solidly against her body, but the celebration was short-lived - an instant later, a burst of starfall so bright blinded Kain into hammering his head straight into one of the stadium's pillars, knocking him out for the rest of the fight!

Knowing that he cannot KO without risking Togekiss too much against Cyclohm in the immediate future, Rainman decided to stall out a bit by using the cooldown from Okuda-Stratagem to his advantage. Chocobo-Togekiss braved her Super Luck to pass on the paralysis to the fast Rock-type, and it was slowed so severely that Chocobo absorbed the Sunlight to heal itself and fire off a Solar Beam, piercing through Okuda's weakened Electro Ball attacks!

Now Dogfish has the all-powerful Endure at his disposal, how will Rainman predict and play around it? Speaking of, I might need a good squad and some tools to elude the Shinigami. Better hurry when the sun sets, it might give me some cover from the rest of them.....
