- Decorate / Wide Guard / Spiky Shield

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Details
========
- Smeargle uses its wide movepool to support its offensive teammates. It is the fastest Spore user in the format, and it can shut down foes such as Calyrex-I and Raging Bolt before they can move. Its Moody ability can punish the opponent for not KOing it quickly enough, and a possible Speed boost will allow it to outspeed and incapacitate Calyrex-S and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R with Spore. Trick Room sets use Technician or Own Tempo on Smeargle to prevent a Moody Speed boost from altering the turn order in Trick Room.
- Follow Me protects teammates susceptible to OHKOs such as Calyrex-S, redirecting Moongeist Beam from Lunala and Shadow Ball from Flutter Mane. Fake Out can stop a foe for a turn, which can allow for a Restricted partner such as Calyrex-S with Nasty Plot or Calyrex-I with Trick Room to set up. Decorate increases the offenses of Smeargle's partners, punishing passive play from the opposing side such as using Protect to stall Fake Out. Wide Guard blocks powerful spread moves in the format like Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I.
- Focus Sash ensures survival against most moves and can force the opponent to double target Smeargle.
- Maximum Speed with a Jolly nature can be used to ensure Decorate occurs before Calyrex-I's and Terapagos's moves outside of Trick Room, or Smeargle can run minimum Speed with a Relaxed nature while Calyrex-I is one Speed point faster than it in order for Decorate to go first in Trick Room.
- Tera Grass can be used to ensure Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R will never OHKO Smeargle, and it lets Smeargle be immune to Spore and Rage Powder. Tera Ghost provides an immunity to Fake Out and Fighting- and Normal-type attacks such as Body Press from Zamazenta-C, Close Combat from the Urshifu formes, and Facade from Ursaluna.

Teambuilding
=========
- Urshifu-R threatens an OHKO onto Smeargle through Focus Sash with Surging Strikes. Taunt from Pokemon such as Tornadus and Chien-Pao shuts down Smeargle's support options. Spore-immune redirectors like Amoonguss, the Ogerpon formes, and Safety Goggles Indeedee-F can save their partners from being put to sleep and also stop Decorate from boosting Smeargle's partner.
- Smeargle can be partnered with Rillaboom in order to remove Psychic Terrain from Indeedee-F to use Fake Out, which helps Nasty Plot Calyrex-S set up. Rillaboom also threatens an OHKO against Urshifu-R with its Grass-type STAB moves.
- Smeargle can use Fake Out on Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, which threatens Calyrex-S with an OHKO, so Calyrex-S can instead OHKO it; it can also support Calyrex-S with Follow Me if Fake Out is not available. Calyrex-S enjoys Wide Guard blocking spread moves it is weak to such as Astral Barrage from opposing Calyrex-S and Snarl from Chi-Yu.
- Decorate can target bulky slower Restricted Pokemon such as Calyrex-I and Terapagos to quickly boost their offenses to high levels before they attack. Terapagos can also Terastallize to remove Miraidon's Electric Terrain from the field in order for Smeargle to put foes to sleep with Spore.

- Smeargle uses its wide movepool to support its offensive teammates. It is the fastest Spore user in the format, and can shut down some foes such as Calyrex-I and Raging Bolt before they can move. Its Moody ability can punish the opponent for not KOing it quickly enough (bit of a stretch, not necessarily a guarantee and could actually lead an unideal scenario), and a possible Speed boost will allow it to Spore foes before they move more often.
- Follow Me protects fragile teammates susceptible to OHKOs such as Calyrex-S (also allows for partners to setup if Fake Out is unavailable). Fake Out can stop a foe for a turn which can allows for a restricted partner such as the Calyrex formes to set up Nasty Plot or Trick Room more safely. Decorate can punish passive play from the opponent such as using Protect to stall Fake Out. Wide Guard blocks some of the strongest moves in the format like Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I.
- Focus Sash covers for Smeargle's unremarkable bulk ensures survival against most moves and can force the opponent to double target if Smeargle uses Follow Me, allowing partners to safely set up.
- Tera Grass can be used to ensure Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R will never OHKO, and to redirect and be immune to Spore. Tera Ghost provides an immunity to Fake Out and Fighting- and Normal-type attacks such as Fake Out, Body Press from Zamazenta-C and Close Combat from the Urshifu formes, and Facade from Ursaluna.

Teambuilding
=========
- Urshifu-R threatens an OHKO onto Smeargle through Focus Sash. Taunt from Pokemon such as Tornadus, Incineroar and Chien-Pao completely shuts down Smeargle's supportive capabilties options. Spore-immune redirectors like Amoonguss, the Ogerpon formes, and Safety Goggles Indeedee-F can save their partners from being put to sleep, and also stop Decorate from boosting Smeargle’s partner.
- Smeargle is often partnered with Incineroar, and/or Rillaboom or both in order to allow for Fake Out cycling which helps Nasty Plot Calyrex-S set up. Rillaboom can in turn threaten an OHKO into Urshifu-R. (Incineroar can threaten Chien-Pao and Indeedee-F)
- Smeargle can Fake Out Choice Scarf Urshifu-R which threatens Calyrex-S with an OHKO, allowing Calrex-S to OHKO it instead so Calyrex-S can instead OHKO it, or support it with Follow Me if Fake Out is not available. Calyrex-S enjoys Wide Guard blocking spread moves it is weak to such as Astral Barrage from opposing Calyrex-S and Snarl from Chi-Yu (Further support from Follow Me redirecting Ghost Types Moves away for CSR could be mentioned, like shadow ball and Moongeist Beam).
- Decorate can target bulky slower restricted Pokemon such as Calyrex-I and Terapagos to quickly boost their offenses to high levels before they attack. For Calyrex-I, Smeargle can alternatively run minimum Speed, while Calyrex-I is 1 Speed point faster than it in order for Decorate to go first in Trick Room (This is more specific about the second EV spread, you could move this up to the EV spread section and put the decorate explanation on the move point to expand, and instead make an explanation more tailored to supporting Calyrex-I here, like how Caly-I threatens Tornadus and the grass types immune to Spore). These teams also use Own Tempo on Smeargle to prevent a Moody Speed boost from altering the turn order in Trick Room. (As well as this point because it talks more about Smeargle itself rather than focusing on the 'team') Terapagos can Terastallize to remove Miraidon’s Electric Terrain from the field in order for Smeargle to Spore foes.

Its Moody ability can punish the opponent for not KOing it quickly enough, and a possible Speed boost will allow it to Spore foes before they move more often Worth noting what pokemon Smeargle now outspeeds with a Speed boost from Moody. You should note why Smeargle sometimes opts to use Technician or Own Tempo
- Follow Me protects teammates susceptible to OHKOs such as Calyrex-S This point feels a bit weak, for your Calyrex-S example you could specify Follow Me can redirect Moongeist Beam from Lunala to keep Calyrex-S safe. Fake Out can stop a foe for a turn which can allow for a restricted partner to set up Nasty Plot or Trick Room Mention them by name. Decorate can punish increases the offenses of Smeargle's partners punishing passive play from the opponent such as using Protect to stall Fake Out. Wide Guard blocks some of the strongest powerful spread moves in the format like Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I.
- Focus Sash ensures survival against most moves and can force the opponent to double target Smeargle.
- Add a comparison for the two EV spreads
- Tera Grass can be used to ensure Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R will never OHKO, and to redirect and be immune to Spore. Tera Ghost provides an immunity to Fake Out and Fighting- and Normal-type attacks such as Body Press from Zamazenta-C and Close Combat from the Urshifu formes, and Facade from Ursaluna.

- Urshifu-R threatens an OHKO with Surging Strikes onto Smeargle through Focus Sash with Surging Strikes. (Moving prepositional phrase for better clarity.) Taunt from Pokemon such as Tornadus and Chien-Pao shuts down Smeargle's support options. Spore-immune redirectors like Amoonguss, the Ogerpon formes, and Safety Goggles Indeedee-F can save their partners from being put to sleep (RC) and also stop Decorate from boosting Smeargle’s Smeargle's (curly → ASCII apostrophe) partner.
