Forgive me but I don't see this as simple Q/simple A

I really really feel stupid, like very stupid posting most of my questions now. I usually can catch onto boards and their operating ways fairly and more importantly the ins and outs of the subject matter.

I can figure out a lot of technical crap on my own but I was looking at the "trade partner" and trading lists threads, and I don't know if its just me being a blithering idiot or if I have been out of the loop forever so I don't know stuff. Basically when it comes to playing the game alone I got that handled well. I can breed into nature, and into ability even egg moves. I have problems with some EV training, and IV numbers but I guess that might come as expected. I don't own an Action Replay although I don't mind shelling out the 25 to get one if its worth it. I know nothing about Reseting, or Sreseting, or anything of that nature. If someone wants to lock this thread or get rid of it thats fine with me, but can someone who is a nice enough person feels generous and won't talk down to me send me a PM explaining this crap. Understand I type with nearly no type-os and don't make too many grammar mistakes so my questions will be in context, not repetitive and hopefully most of the time not stupid.

I also have never played a real legit game against any opponents and don't want my first time to have me get 6-0 with barely dealing damage to my opponent.
Thanks in advance to anyone nice enough to aid me here.

I feel your best bet would be to sign up for the apprentice program next week and to look at all the guides and whatnot here on smogon. It really is hard to teach you everything you want into 1 post -__-

If you're looking to know how to get started with a trade thread, the best way to do so is to learn by example - check out other trade threads in the Wi-Fi board, and once you've bred a thing or two, start your own thread (and use the aforementioned breeding guide to get started breeding). The tutoring program (located in the Battling 101 forum) is good if you're trying to learn how to be a better player. Looking through the warstory archive should also help if you want to see how good battles are played.

To be honest, though, this really should've gone in the simple Q/A thread.
