Free boobs inside! (now that I have your attention, RMT please)

Hi everybody!
I've been playing pokemon since I was a little kid and I keep doing it with the same nice feeling.
I started with the videogames and it was so fun, but slowly I was feeling more and more interested in the competitive side of the game.
After trying few play styles, I found in the sand my niche due my Tyranitar fixation in this weather-dominated metagame.
After reading all your suggestions I made some changes (bolt ones)

Here we goes with the RMT!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
images

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice scarf
trait: sand stream
E.V.'s: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 6 HP
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge
-Superpower

Here is my weather inducer and a kind of revenge killer/trapper.
It works wonders under the sand as it takes little damage from heavy hitters like genesect, heatran, or thundurus-T.
And as it goes scarfed it can deal nice OHKOs to things like starmie, latios/as and gengar trapping them, or stone eadging things like weakened dragonites, gyarados, unboosted salamences...
It can cover a lot of stuff and does a good work at what it does.

Scizor (M) @ choice band
trait: technician
E.V.'s: 248 HP/ 252 Atk/ 6 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
-Superpower
-Bullet punch
-U-turn
-Pursuit

I've been using Scizor as a revenge killer and a hit'n'run poke for a long time to maintain the momentum with u-turn; but now I'm trying to use it as a boost sweeper or late game cleaner with the swords dance/ bullet punch set. I know that Superpower doesn't have too much synergy with the SD/ BP...
Anyway I don't like too much the boost sweep set, but I've been raped by it few times so I decided to give it a try.

Latias (F) @ life orb
trait: levitate
E.V.'s: 128 SAtk/ 252 Spd/ 128 HP
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Roost
- Hidden power Fire
- Draco meteor

I've been using her blue counterpart for a long time with the same moveset , but didn't like his live quick, die young phylosophy, so I cut his blue thing and painted red his body (don't ask her for his old life).
I like to heavy smash everything that doesn't resist draco meteor or cripple walls like chansey/blissey/Ferro/Skarmory and render them almost useless for the rest of the play.
Thunderbolt and phychic are for coverage and STAB.

I've been using this new set with some succes, having a good coverage against few threats I haven't before, and with roost I can fly around longer.

images

Skarmory (M) @ Rocky helmet
trait: Sturdy
E.V.'s: 252 HP/ 232 Def/ 24 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
-Stealth rock
-Roost
-Whirlwind
-Brave bird

This is my spiker and a part of my GlisSkarmsy core.
It's harder and harder set up the spikes in this highly agressive metagame, so if I can release one or a couple of lays, I feel satisfied enough.
Skarmory is also a good response to those annoying gliscors that try to stall me , or those boosted Scizors or Terrakions demanding be whirlwinded... and of course to those outrage locked dragons that like to stamp it's heads aganist my rocky helmet again and again while I'm using roost.

Skarmory where my spiker, now is my rocker.... not much changed here aside the fact that I'm not so stressed as before laying 3 rounds of spikes.

images

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic orb
trait: Poison heal
E.V.'s: 252 HP/ 184 Def/ 72 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
-Protect
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Earthquake

Wow! This thing is so GOOD that must be banned! Not only have a fantastic typing, it also have a godsend ability in poison heal making it almost unstatusable.
It's part of the GlisSkarmsy core, switching into the electric, earth, and fighting attacks. It's completly walled by skarmory, steel types with an untouched air ballon, Bronzong, Xatu and other poison heal gliscors.
The first time I've see this set didn't like it too much because the lack of coverage......until I tryed.
With this set, gliscor is so annoying that it makes cry. Being able of switching often to a large portion of the metagame to poison it is simply amazing.
Every player should give it a try to quickly fall in love with it.

Rotom-W (M) @ Leftovers
trait: Levitate
E.V.'s: 248 HP/ 240 SDef/ 20 Spd
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
-Volt switch
-Will-o-wisp
-Pain split
-Hydro pump

I've changed my olde Chansey for my brand new Rotom. This thing works quite well, having a good synergy with the rest of the team (specially scizor) as is a good anti-metagame pokemon. I'm still testing it, but like it, and like this set.

Well. That's all! Any rate would be appreciated.
I wouldn't finish without congratulating Smogon for the hard work it's doing for the pokemon fans like all of us.
And at last but not least I would apologize for my bad english as it's not my mother language.
Thankyou everybody!

Hello,

At first, I don't like a lot Chansey in this team, I'd use Special Defensive Rotom-W in place of her because you need a resistant rain resistor, specifically a solid Tornadus-T counter (it can destroy your team with combination of Hurricane, Taunt and Superpower). Now, you can put Stealth Rock in place of Spikes on your Skarmory, in my opinion, you don't need really them. Then, I like a lot the use of Choice specs Latias but I'd use Surf in place of Thunderbolt, it isn't very useful and Surf hits hard Tyranitar and Scizor hoping to switch in on a Draco Meteor. Finally, I'd use Offensive Sword Dance Scizor here, you have Tyranitar to revengekill a lots of stuff and you need a strong lategame sweeper and Sword Dance Scizor does that very well.

Set(s):

Rotom-W set:
Rotom-w.gif

(Rotom-W) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 56 SAtk / 200 SDef / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Scizor set:

Gemini's_Scizor.gif

Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite

Hope it helped, good luck :)

Just some thoughts. Do not use chansey with a tyranitar on the team, you will hate the recoil of sandstorm and this can be problematic if you want your chansey to always stay alive. Use blissey instead. It does the same role, maybe with less defenses but it has leftvoers, meaning that you will not lose 6% of your health every turn.

Now speaking about your latias, i feel like a set with roost and life orb is better. The recoil of the sand will not help without any recovery, and with roost you can have more chance to live hits and do serious damage with drago meteor, as well as being free to choose the right move without being locked. Also, thunderbolt and psichic are not really the best things in the world to use, psyshock is better to beat blissey as well as calm mind pokemons like Keldeo, while thunderbolt is generally outclassed by surf to do more damage to Heatran, Tyranitar or ground pokemons like Landorus or Gliscor.

As for scizor, stay with the cb set; it can give you some momentum thanks to the strong u-turn, and you dont need a sweeper in this team, is fine as it is. Also pursuit+sword dance does not make sense, an another reason to use u-turn.

Latias set:
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Roost

Blissey > chansey

Hey there egrimm, that's a quite a solid, yet standard team you have going on. I personally dislike sand teams, but hey, this is your RMT and not mine, so I'll just go ahead and rate it. Alright, my reccomendations include changing around some EV spreads and movesets. Keep in mind that you may want to test these suggestions before implementing them in your team. Okay, I'm done rambling, let's get to the rating. Alright, first up, we have a our good friend Scizor. I reccomend that you use a Bulky Swords Dance set over your current one. Scizor has interestingly high special defense so that allows you to give a lot of investment in that depaertment, allowing Scizor to sweep a whole lot easier. Moving on to our good friend Latias, I suggest using a Bulky Life Orb set over your current choice of the Choice Specs set that you have. With a Life Orb, Latias can become an excellent wallbreaker, covering a multitude of threats with its large arsenal of coverage and STAB moves. Well, that's really all I can say for this team, I must credit you with a great use of a balance between offense and defense. I hope my advice helped just a little bit. Good luck and have fun with your team1

Latias @ Life Orb Lv. 100 -- Levitate

Cool team dude!

First thing I want to recommend is changing up your Latias set. The set I suggest is:

380.png

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd/ 6 HP
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Roost

This set helps you more against Pokemon like Keldeo, and Breloom. Latias is one of the best offensive Fighting-type checks in the entire game but with your current set it doesn't take them on for long. Your Latias has no recovery and has to switch a lot due to it being Choice Locked. Roost is the crux of the set as it allows Latias to survive till the late-game. Psyshock allows Latias to revenge even a fully boosted Keldeo as it hits its Defense stat. Draco Meteor + Life Orb allows it to keep much of the same pressure as when it was Choice Specs.

Secondly I want to second A l e x a n d e r's suggestion of Rotom-W. Tornadus-T is a huge threat in this metagame and Chansey really can't take it on, whether that be due to Taunt or Tornadus-T's strong Fighting-type attacks. This also gives you another strong Water-type resist, letting you take pressure off of Latias.

So without Chansey you've lost you're Stealth Rocker, plus you've got a weakness to Offensive Quiver Dance Volcarona; so I recommend replacing Gliscor with Heatran. The set I suggest is:

485.png

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Hidden Power [Ice]

So the choice was between SpDef Heatran and a more Offensive Heatran and I think an Offensive set suits your team better. Offensive Volcarona won't even break it unless Heatran's Air Balloon is broken and Volcarona has Hidden Power Ground. This Heatran gives you a Pokemon to set Stealth Rocks, plus it gives you another Dragon-type resist. Plus, again with Air Balloon intact, its an amazing boosted dragon check, it resists Dragon, is immune to Fire and even immune to Ground.

Now your team has smaller cores to deal with most team archetypes; Latias / Rotom-W deal with Rain teams, Latias / Heatran deals with Sun teams, and Skarmory / Scizor and can handle a lot of the common Sand threats.

Good Luck!

Hey, cool team

I find bulky waters and Jirachi tough walls for your team to muscle past. Jirachi by itself can do quite a number to your team as it haxes its way past your Latias and prevents your sweepers from dealing any real damage. Water types look annoying as well, particularly Rotom-W, which Chansey can not beat if paired with a fighting type- which it often is. Your defensive core, Gliscor and Skarmory, also suffers from b-Rain damage, since there is only Latias to stop the onslaught of Keldeo-R and friends. For these reasons, I also side with Alexander's idea of SpDef Rotom-W over said Chansey. However, Rotom-W does leave some holes that need to be filled up. For one, you lose your rocks as most have said, and you gain a weakness to grass- none of which is helpful. You also have the added problem of Jirachi and Steel types to deal with. To help manage those problems, I think replacing Gliscor with Bulky Landorus-T would be very beneficial.

Landorus-T @ Leftovers
244 HP / 64 Atk / 200 Def
Adamant nature
Stealth Rock / U-Turn / Earthquake / Stone Edge

Landorus-T provides some extra offensive power your team needs after making the shift from 'bulky' to 'tanky'. Landorus-T can wall nearly any physical pokemon without supereffective coverage because of it's ability, Intimidate. It gives it more physical bulk and power than Gliscor, which will definitely help you break down walls. Landorus-T sets rocks too, taking care of that problem, and his U-Turning can work with Rotom and Scizor to use those hazards to rack up damage. Stone Edge deals with Tornadus-T and Volcorona well, OHKO'ing both, while you survive a hit from both at max HP. Landorus's power breaks down Jirachi in seconds; using Intimidate to weaken it's attacks and then EQ to kill it. SpDef Tran falls to the same cause as well.

As for your Latias set, I myself have enjoyed Specs, and I have enjoyed using it. Also, it does suit your team well, providing you with bulk and speed as well as an attacker that still hits moderately hard. I would use Psyshock instead of Psychic, however, as this lets you beat Keldeo and Terrakions. Instead of Thunderbolt, HP Fire is probably more optimal, as this hits steels harder, particularly Scizor and Forretress, two nuts that do look hard to crack.

awesome

Hello, your team is good but there is a problem and is the rain teams witch Tornadus-T and a pokémon of pression in atack as example :( Scizor , Toxicroak, Landorus-T, etc.), so to speak those combinations and perhaps other more, therefore Tornadus-T find a time where it will just sweep ¿ Why ? Simple,if they come to steal your field rock are - 12% of HP with each drop tyranitar, Chansey, Scizor and if Chansey comes to the part that goes to the 2nd part of HP Tornadus - t will eat 1 Superpower: 42.47 - 50.28% with Life Orb and if it falls are something other unprotected,Scizor is one of your keys to this key,but gives no Bullet Punch K.O of 1, I recommend a Jirachi Support sp.d by Gliscor, since you have to Skarmory defending Chansey in defense and to protect yourself you might want latias sp.dy best 252 HP, 16 Def, 58 Sp.dy 184 speed, Timid nature, set: roar, root or recover and dragon pulse or psychic or calm mind, otherwise the jirachi will help the dragons as Lati@s siblings. good I hope will be helpful
