Freeze!!! (Hail Team)

I made a team very similar to this in game back in diamond and pearl. It played pretty well online against people and it was the second best Hail team that I knew of. Please give me any and all suggestions that you have. Thanks in advance for all help.

Abomasnow @ Life Orb
Snow Warning
Nature: Adamant
EVS: 4HP/252Att/252Def
Moves:
Wood Hammer
Ingrain
Ice Punch
Brick Break

Abomasnow is to start hail. Ingrain is to make sure that someone can't roar me out of battle if they set up spikes or something. Wood Hammer and Ice punch are just for stab moves. Brick break is to hit steel types that might come after me.

Weavile @ Choice Band
Pressure
Nature: Jolly
EVS: 252Att/4Def/252Speed
Moves:
Ice Punch
Brick Break
Ice Shard
Night Slash

Weavile is a sweeper obviously. This is a standard set I believe. Ice Shard for priority. Night Slash is for stab and may crit. Ice Punch is stab and hits pretty hard. Brick Break is in case I face another Weavile or something similar.

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body
Nature: Bold
EVS: 252Def/4SpAtt/252SpDef
Moves:
Protect/Substitute
Blizzard
Surf
Ice Beam

This is my wall. Ice Body and leftovers allow me to get a lot of HP back. Protect/Substitute is to make sure that I regain more life in case I am running low. Blizzard is a good stab move as is Surf. Ice beam is there in case I don't have a hail storm up I can still hit with an ice move.

Skarmory @ Shell Bell
Sturdy
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Spikes

Lapras @ Absorb Bulb
Water absorb
Nature: Calm
EVS: 252HP/4SpAtt/252SpDef
Moves:
Hail
Hydro Pump
Blizzard
Thunder Bolt

I have never used Absorb Bulb but in my head this is a great combination. This is Special Wall. Hail is to make sure that if another weather effect comes into play I can still have the possibility of getting hail onto the field. Hydro Pump is a little inaccurate but I like it over surf because it is more powerful. Blizzard is self-explanatory. Thunder Bolt is for coverage and to make sure I can take out water type pokemon if I need to.

images

Tentacruel @ Kings Rock
Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
EVS: 252Att/4SpDef/252Speed
Moves:
Rapid Spin
Waterfall
Poison Jab
Toxic Spikes

This is my Rapid Spinner in case I need one. I don't see many people run an attacking set for Tentacruel but I love to do it. Waterfall can potentially flinch. Poison Jab can poison. Toxic Spikes to set up and everyone knows what rapid spin is for.

Chandelure @ Expert Belt
Flash Fire
Nature: Modest
EVS: 252SpAtt/4SpDef/252Speed
Moves:
Flamethrower
Shadow Ball
Psychic
Overheat

Did you expect to see a fire type in this team? I bet you didn't. I bet no one would expect a fire type in the middle of a Hail team. I can switch into any fire moves focused onto my pokemon and have boosted Sp. Attack making my moves even deadlier. Flamethrower is for stab. Shadowball is also for stab. Psychic is for annoying poison types and fighting types. Overheat is a last ditch effort to do a lot of damage to a pokemon to try and kill it off.

There we go, that is my team. I am open to any suggestions. Please do not get your feeling hurt if I do not take them though. I will consider every thing that is written though. I don't care if you just started playing today, I will take what you say seriously. Feel free to change anything about the pokemon that you want. I am not really set on any pokemon in particular on the team. I want it to be the best that it can be.

Hi! Welcome to Smogon!

This is an interesting team to say the least. Your definitely using some uncommon stuff, but I would have to question the effectiveness of it. First thing I should mention, having multiple Ice types on a hail team is not the best idea. It seems like the most obvious thing to do, but Ice is such a terrible defensive type that it leaves your team terribly weak to several types. Stealth Rock really hurts this team, as 5 out of 6 of your pokemon are weak to it. Even with a Rapid Spinner that's a really big problem. Fighting types can also run through your team, especially Terrakion, which often carries enough coverage to hit every member of your team super effectively.

I'm sorry if I sound harsh here. I can't really give much recommendation other than to look over your team and reconsider what you're using, and why you are using it.

Hello, and welcome to Smogon!

A lot of your movesets are a bit strange, so I guess that's where i'll start. I suggest trying physical attacker Abomasnow who not only can take on the weather leads of Tyranitar, Hippowdon, and Politoed, but also manage to support the team through revenging dragons. The set recommended is below. I also highly suggest trying Heatran over Chandelure as you really need a response to the Sun sweepers such as Volcarona and Venusaur. This provides a solid answer to sun teams which otherwise can take advantage of hail. This provides Stealth Rock to your team which is very important. Tentacruel also needs a new EV spread and moveset to perform the it's full extent. 252 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe @ Black Slude Bold with Toxic over Toxic Spikes, Scald over Waterfall, and Sludge Bomb over Poison Jab to check Breloom, who otherwise can completely wreck this team.

I also notice how weak you are to common threats like Terrakion, Conkelldurr, Kyurem, and the VoltTurn core. It is for this reason I suggest trying Skarmory over Lapras to check Landorus, Mamoswine, and Terrakion. Skarmory also aids in getting use of the hazards through building residual damage by using Whirlwind.

Now this was a very basic rate, but instead of completely revamping your team, I really want you to experiment. Remember : use different things to check out what works for you. There a many good options for a hail team like this. Check out usage stats and the Smogon OU tier list to check out what are some viable options for a team like this, and adress the issues that it has. If you want to really learn the game you can always sign up for Battling 101, which helps new players like yourself. Having this many ice types means you have a huge fighting and fire weakness, which means you really need to be careful when it pertains to type synergy. Try to cover weaknesses by using different Pokemon to aid you in your matches. Being really centered on one type is not a good thing, so try out different Pokemon to cover those and work well together!

Abomasnow @ Leftovers | Snow Warning
188 HP / 252 Atk / 68 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ice Shard
- Wood Hammer
- Protect
- Leech Seed

Skarmory @ Leftovers | Sturdy
252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Spikes

Good luck!

Thank you both for the suggestions.

I honestly thought of using Heatran over Chandelure so I am going to take that suggestion. I really like Lapras but I will switch it out for Skarmory.

Personally, I don't like having multiple of items in a team. I am going to tweak the items.
