Frikin' SD Scizor team. Rate my team OR ELSE

Hello Smogonz. This is a fairly old team I made (this is my only team right now and I hate building new teams because it gives me a headache), and I think I want to update it, in case Salamence does get banned. You see, since I joined competitive battling my dream was to create a competitive team in-game, and I don't want to finish it and find out one of my team members is unplayable. I posted it a long time ago here but it wasn't rated vary much, which forced me to post the team on Serebii (not the best competitive site) so it will be nice to show some rates here.
So… I'm pretty satisfied with the team. It's an SD Scizor sweep team, and it's doing pretty good, even if Scizor doesn't get to sweep. Of course because of the reasons stated above I changed MixMence into MixNite for a while, just in case.

A CLOSER LOOK:

LEAD

Swampert @ Leftovers
EV's: HP252 \ATK4 \DEF252
Nature: Relaxed (+DEF\-SPE)
Ability: Torrent
-Stealth rock
-Earthquake
-Ice beam
-Roar

Swampert is one of the most reliable Pokémon there is. He throws the floating rock on the field (as demonstrated in the picture) and then he just acts according to the situation. Hit with EQ for a reliable STAB, use Ice beam for Gliscor and friends, and roar at the enemy for scouting, PHazing, or just if you don't like who's standing in front of you. Swampert is getting nice synergy on this team. All of its team members resist its only weakness and three x4-wise. It lures WoW for Heatran and gets wish support from Jirachi.

AGINST COMMON LEADS:

Azelf: well, this lead can do a lot of things so I'm in the disadvantage of not knowing what he's gonna do. The safest bet is to break the sash and switch to Jirachi, who can paralyze, U-turn and even lure a fire attack to Heatran!

Metagross: I'm a little afraid he's gonna explode on me right off the bat (as happened to me once), so I'm kinda in the dilemma of setting up rocks or switching to Gengar (I did that after the battle Metagross exploded on me, and got the huge advantage of having Gross gone and his Bilssey scarved!)

Swampert: I set up rocks, he sets up rocks, everyone's happy. Then I roar for scouting purposes (I might move 4ATK to speed to outroar him like I saw someone doing)

Jirachi: switch to Gengar as they're all scarved (well I might get screwed if he's not…)

Aerodactyle: It's almost the same as I do with Azelf, only I'm more confident on what they will do.

Infenape: he might surprise me with Grass knot but overall I'm okay with him. He doe dent me a little with CC though.

Roserade: I actually got a strategy with him. I switch to Jirachi to take the Sleep powder, and then I switch to Heatran as the bouquet Pokémon Tspikes. The opponent happily keeps to Tspike, expects me to try to 2HKO him, but instead I sub up. None of Roserade's move can break my Sub, so I am in a big advantage. So overall my Jirachi went sleepy-sleep (oh well, someone had to), Heatran got a free sub (yay!!!1) and two layers of Tspikes are up. sounds bad but actually the only poke in may team that is effected is Swampert, so who cares!!!
Heatran: I really can't recall seeing him. I switch out for something else as he obviously has HPgrass.

Tyranitar: can't be such a pain... I guess I SR and se what it does, and just act accordingly.

Gliscor: Run away, it has Ice beam!! I usually use Ice beam regardless, maybe I'll get a lucky freeze.

Celebi: switch to Heatran. He usually is faster but he's afraid of a ScarfTran.

Machamp: WTF he's taking his championship belt off…. HE'S RAPING ME!!! GOD NOOO MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!1

Mamoswine: another big problem. No one can take prolonged beatings from him.

Smeargle: Jirachi for the Spore and then… well, there really is no way to tell. Most of them are spikers which is kinda bad. I can switch Swampert back and roar\ SR, heatran gets a clean Sub but Smeargle gets to do its job...

SUBSTITUTE

Heatran @ Leftovers
EV's: HP4 \SPA252 \SPE252
Nature: Timid (+SPE\-ATK)
Ability: Flash fire
-Substitute
-Fire blast
-Earth power
-Toxic

He may be ugly, but I sure do love him. He can switch on almost any steel type and force a switch-out. From there, he sets a Sub up and see who is going to be switching in. almost all switch-ins are badly maimed by Toxic, so yeah. The toxic also generally helps Scizor deal with bulky waters late game. ANY Bilssey without Seismic toss is stalled out of Heal bell, dies from toxic damage or is forced to switch out. He is useful in so many situations, with the best move ever created.
A lot of WoWs and fire attacks are lured to him, and he fits excellently to the team (the only sting is only one water resist).

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

SCARF

Gengar @ Choice scarf
EV's: SPA252 \DEF4 \SPE252
Nature: Timid (+SPE\-ATK)
Ability: Levitate
-Shadow ball
-Focus blast
-Thunderbolt
-Trick

Most people don't expect a ScarfGar floating around nowadays, so I made a nice surprise for them. Gengar has some vary valuable Ground and Fighting immunities going on, which makes him a vary good matchup for Heatran. His blistering speed is vary important for revenge killing and stuff, but what I most like about him is Trick. Now when people don't expect me to run a scarf, tricking it to a wall or a set-up tank is easier then ever. A lot of battles would've been doomed without that trait (although I frequently have the problem of tricking the scarf to early…).

MIXED SWEEPER

Dragonite @ Life orb
EV's: ATK56 \SATK252 \SPE200
Nature: Mild (+SPA\-DEF)
Ability: Inner focus
-Draco meteor
-Flamethrower
-Superpower
-Roost

Salamence is in a risk of getting banned (If you read the posts on the council thread, you'll get convinced he will), so I switched him to Nite, just in case I'll need to get used to him. He's not that bad, I guess. He gets the advantage of having superior special bulk, which helps him deal with water type attacks (he can't deal with bulky waters though). He has more use of the move Roost, because he has better defenses and he has Superpower to deal with Bilssey better. I use ATK56 on my Nite 'cause I'm not afraid of Bold Bilsseys (or any Blisseys for that matter), which lets me go maximum SPA. His inferiority complex with Mence makes people underestimate him a bit, so this gives me some advantage.
Obviously, Nite's huge downside is its relatively average speed stat. Jirachi's Twaves greatly help that. Dragonite also appreciates wish support from him. Ice types are blocked by Heatran and friends, Rock & Dragon types are blocked by Jirachi and friends. He's also nicer then Mence.

WISH SUPPORTER

Jirachi @ Leftovers
EV's: HP240 \DEF160 \SPD76 \SPE32
Nature: Impish (+DEF \-SPA)
Ability: Serene grace
-U-turn
-Wish
-Iron head
-Thunder wave

Yeah I couldn’t think of any good idea for a wishpasser so I drew a Mario Galaxy style star. Jirachi has some vary useful niches for the team. He can scout with U-turn, heal teammates with Wish, stall with Iron head and maim the opponent with Twave. Its amazing defenses allow it to switch on almost anyone. Not a lot of Pokémon can immediately threaten Jirachi, so it’s a great switch-in when I have no idea what the opponent is about to do. Twave is a huge necessity on my team, as it both slows down faster pokes that stops Dragonite's rampage and makes bulky Pokémon like Vaporeon unable to attack 25% of the time, which makes them easy set-up baits for Scizor.
I am having a bit of a dilemma here between using Twave or Body slam. Body slam does damage along with the paralyze and hits Ground types, which add Hippodown and Swampert to Scizor's set-up bait list, at the expanse of not hitting Gengar and Rotom forms (which are non-existent over WIFI). But having 40% of not paralyzing is vary unattractive, as paralyzing an opponent is often crucial to be done immediately.
Gives wish support to Swampert, Dragonite and Heatran, weaknesses covered by Dragonite and friends, bla bla bla…

SD SWEEPER

Scizor @ Life orb
EV's: HP248 \ATK252 \SPE8
Nature: Adamant (+ATK \-SPA)
Ability: Technician
-Sword dance
-Bullet punch
-Break brick
-Roost

I guess this is the point where I say "the star of the show". The strongest priority in OU, good natural bulk and great defensive typing all make Scizor a nice SD sweeper. What also makes him good at its job is the fact that CB Scizors are so much more common. This makes the opponent treat him in a vary bad way. Most of my sweeps are achieved by setting up on pokes that tend to wall CB Scizor, like Vaporeon, bronzing and stuff like that. They predict a BP and a switch out but instead I SD\ Roost. What's weird is that even though they see my SD, they just try to weaken me with their attacks. Big mistake. I can roost off the damage if their moves deal less then 50%, and if the attack deals 50%, Jirachi turns vary useful by paralyzing them, making them attack 75% of the time, and thus making them complete set- up baits.
Overall it does pretty good. It doesn't ring the opponent's alarm bells like Lucario does, so setting up is more casual with him. When the above scenario happens, I get a +6 the attack, in which case not a lot can take a Bullet punch. Of course, it can't effectively sweep with just one SD like Lucario does, but is doing its job good.
Team synergy is good. Weakness resisted by Swampert and Dragonite, and it's obviously a perfect fire-lurer for Heatran.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

TEAM THREATS:
I think writing my reaction for every Pokémon in OU is rather silly. Instead, I'll name the threats that make the most problem.

MACHAMP
That. Male. Gendered. BITCH. Everything in my team takes big damage from his Dynamic punch, and Gengar is KO'ed by Payback. The closest thing I can think of for a strategy is Swampert getting his HP to Draco meteor's KO range, switch to Gengar to block the Dynamic punch, and switch to Dragonite\ Heatran for the KO. This might work, but my team will take lethal damage and Machamp could switch away and threaten me even more lategame.

MAMOSWINE
Swampert takes big damage from EQ and can't do anything in return. Gengar and Nite KO'ed by Ice shard and Heatran and Jirachi KO'ed by EQ. Adamant ones may be outpaced by heatran but I can't be sure without losing a large amount of damage. I don’t think LO BP can KO.

STARME
He is annoying, as he makes a 100% counter to my SubTran. He outspeeds the majority of my team and has the moves to KO. With Natural cure, he can't be maimed by paralysis. Gengar might be able to Tbolt it (if its scarf isn't gone) but that's a check, not a counter.

I think that's all that stands out, if there's more tell me.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

TEAM CONS:

***I have some problems with spikes, as most of my team is maimed by it and directly preventing them is rather hard.

***I have only one resistance (in Dragonite) for the common Water attacks. After I maim a bulky water with Heatran's Toxic I find it hard to decide which is the best switch-in. Likewise I am weak to Rain dance team (although I haven't faced many).

***Hyper offense may be a problem, although I don't remember facing one (and I can only tell between Stall teams to other teams =P)

***My team's pokes have some bad colors, with the color red repeated twice. On Shoddy battle I can easily fix that by making Scizor shiny and thus my team has all the rainbow colors, but in-game I can't have a compatible shiny Scizor. Big help on that =(.

So… that's my team. I hope you all laughed and cried with me. I also hope you'll frikin' rate it, not like last time! And…. That’s it.

LAST LOOK-

You should run HP Grass over Toxic on Heatran to avoid being walled by swampert/other bulky waters. You can toxic but then nothing on your team can actually OHKO Swampert.

Lol the drawings are really cute.

SD Lucario OHKOs your entire team assuming your opponent has Stealth Rock down. Gengar can avoid it but I doubt it will be around late-game if you're using it as a revenge killer for stuff like Gyarados and Starmie since Tyranitar and Scizor are so commonly used. I would suggest you use a Wish + CM Jirachi in place of your current one, which will retain the wish passing support for the team but give it enough speed to KO Lucario with Psychic before it can strike you. However, if you need the Paralysis support more than wish, you can use the Substitute + Thunder Wave set on Jirachi.

Hope that was useful.

I also see Charge Beam Jolteon being a menace to your team, and these are definitely increasing in popularity. You might want to consider Extremespeed > Roost on Dragonite, which gives your team a second priority move with which to better deal with other threats like Kingdra and Starmie.

Thanks.

Lol the drawings are really cute.
Thank you =P
I think you're right about the Extremespeed>Roost as finding the time to might be hard. I checked Cargebeam Jolt's set and it looks like either swampert or Dragonite are counters... I'll just have to figure what HP it runs.
Now when i think about it Lucario can be a problem, although I don't remember having one sweeping me... I think I equally need wish support and paralysis, as my teammates loose a lot of damage... I also like WishRachi because it is usfull in a lot of situations and has a lot of defenses... I think psychic doesn't KO without 2 defense drops, in which case that's two pokemon dead.... I think running Rotom could do the trick, but it isn't compatible over wifi, and it is much more predictable then ScarfGar... I guess there's no way to fix that but keeping Gengar from dying...
Also I've been thinking... Heatran usually switches on a Steel, Subs, attacks and switches out. So why not use Overheat?? I mean, it's like a pseudo-Draco meteor with it's power, I just need to be more causious (thats how u spell it?? I'm taking increased english lessons, but I don't know english that good =P) about using it, and when I get a SPA drop, the opponent let his guards down and that's when I use Toxic.

I'm not stalking your thread (lol) but here are some thoughts.

Jolteon does 83% - 97.8% to Dragonite with Thunderbolt after a Charge Beam boost, so I think it's not so simple as finding out it's HP type. Therefore I think Extremespeed definitely makes more sense since it also helps you deal with many other speedy threats without relying on your Gengar (who is very vulnerable to Pursuit).

Jirachi's unboosted Psychic does 113.2% - 133.5% after Lucario uses Close Combat once, so it's a safe option for revenge killing since it outspeeds base 90s. But it's up to you anyway. I would prefer CM Wish Jirachi though because Thunder Wave on one Pokemon alone is not going to really help your Dragonite sweep (especially with all the Ground types switching into Jirachi) and it doesn't really benefit the rest of your team. This Jirachi not only provides Wish support but is another useful stall-breaker and provides a possible late-game sweep.

Finally, Substitute Heatran's purpose is not to deal immediate damage. Due to the switches it forces (thanks to bluffing Scarf) and the good type coverage it attains Substitute is good for easing prediction and guarantees a hit against the opponent. Fire Blast is good for catching stuff like Celebi or Skarmory who are trying to soak an Earth Power on the switch. Overheat contradicts the set's purpose because it is forced to switch out itself once it lowers its SpA, especially if the opponent switches from the Celebi or Skarmory back to a Tyranitar or something.

This Heatran set looks good to me because it can catch and Toxic bulky waters, which helps Scizor (and CM Jirachi should you adopt it) better set-up on them. Being able to dispose of opposing Heatran is also a boon. Therefore, please retain the current set.

Don't hurt me...

My suggestion is to swap Heatran for an LO Spinner Starmie. Resists Dynamicpunch, Psychics Champ, Surfs Swine, Tbolts Starmie. Spins Spikes, Resists Fire. It also takes Status that you're allocating to Jirachi.

Starmie @ life orb
Timid
Natural Cure
4 hp/252 spa/252 spe
~ Hydro Pump / Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Psychic/ Ice Beam
~ Rapid Spin

I love your pictures!

What kind of a sick Celebi\ Skarmory will on their right minds switch into a Heatran just to soak up an Earth power?? Trust me, I had so much Heatran scenarios. what happens is:
1) I switch Heatran on Forretress\ Skarmory\ Celebi\ whatever.
2) they switch to a Bulky water\ Gyarados\ something that can take a Fire blast. I Sub up.
3) I hit them with toxic. they break my Sub
4) I switch out

They switch something that immediately threatens me, so I don't have the time to attack more then once.

I checked and WishCMRachi KOs Lucario after -2 SPD. WishSupport is just so usfull I don't want to give up on him.

I can... IDK lure a HP from swampert to Heatran and see what it does... I just can't belive ChargeBeam Jolt is getting common... I did put ES on Nite though. which leads me to the question: do I put some different EVs for Dragonite's ATK?? Is there certain KOs Dragonite can acheive with small ATK investments?

LO SPINNER Starmie? that's kinda prablomatic. DynamicPunch's usfullnes comes from its confusion rate. It may cancel WaterWeakness but... IDK Heatran is so good right now...

BTW: some guy asked me to let him post this team on a website for good teams... yay my team is good... (=
