From hurting Braincells to compeditive Teams

Updated Short Information:
I've tested this team for a while now, and am finally pretty good with it.

642.gif

Thundaga (Thundurus) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunder / Thunderbolt / Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt
- Hidden Power Ice

Why?
Freaking Prankster and Taunt. I cannot say how often it just screwed my enemy over, because I taunted his first Pokemon, or even aegislash. Hidden Power Ice just destroys dragons and Earth types for me, while Thunder and Thunderwave are essential tools in predicting if he changes his Pokemon with something at par with mine.
I chose Thunder, because thunderbolt didn't really "destroy" my enemy like I wanted to, and it's great against rain dance teams... if they would appear more often. Currently Testing Voltwitch.

227.gif

Takeo (Skarmory) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Taunt / Brave Bird

Why?
It's since the ban of blaziken my favourite Pokemon in OU. It has done a great job at walling annoying life-orb users, and resists those fighting types quite well. I'd choose BraveBird instead of Taunt, since Thundurus already does the job just fine. Roost is against Life-Orb users, and Whirlwind is against the common SD, CM and DD. Obligatory Stealthrock of course. This wall, is a force to be reckoned with!

149.gif

Leeroy (Dragonite) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch/ Waterfall
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake

Why?
I learned to love this little guy. Extreme speed just destroys so many things, while Earthquake is insane against Heatran. Dragon Claw is just for finishing things, and Fire Punch currently melts Ferrothorns and similiar threats. I really love him in the Team, since his typing is balanced with mawiles, and Multiscale is just too good. I choicebanded him, so he actually can destroy things, instead of just damage those a little.

303.gif

Hime (Mawile) (F) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 132 HP / 248 Atk / 124 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Fire Fang

Why?
Her typing is godlike, fitting very well to dragonite. She's quite bulky, thanks to her high Def and intimidate. One Swords Dance, and you can sweep through almost anything. Play Rough is just too good, Sucker Punch is our kinda bad prio move. It's okay, but it needs an good understanding of overall attack sets from enemy pokemon.
Fire Fang destroys threats like skarmory, ferrothorn, and many others too. I made her a bit faster than tyranitar and others, to "cuddle" them to death before I have to deal with something that can compete in strength.

609.gif

Ifrit (Chandelure) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

Why?
It's just really odd, but it also sooo good. I can't say how many times this little thing has destroyed aegislash, Excadrills, and other annoying pokemon. Trick can be pretty cool against CM, SD, DD users and the scarf helps to outspeed things, that normally would kill me. It's funny to see how they're so confident against this little thing.
Energy ball is for Ground and Water types. Pretty heavy.

530.gif

GurenLagann (Excadrill) @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 176 HP / 60 Atk / 252 SDef / 20 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Why?
It destroyes Aegislash and ghost types in general thanks to mold breaker and it's high attack stat. It can clear if needed pretty much any leech seed/stealthrock/... without a problem, and also works as a simple physical sweeper. I just love it to break things.

So, what do you think?
I think it's pretty solid for my first time since Diamond&Pearl, I'd appreciate constructive critism!

Thank you for all your support so far!

Hello there, I have had a look at your team and here are a few pointers which may help you out if you choose to use them :)
First of all I would like to point out your team has a heavy weakness to ground and Fire, both of which are fairly common in OU. This means ideally you will need to make a few team changes.

So let's start with Excadrill. You currently have no effective counter to fairy types so I suggest switching Substitute for Iron head.(Recommended)
Mr Claw (Excadrill) @ Leftovers/Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 176 HP / 60 Atk / 252 SDef / 20 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide/Sword Dance/Stealthrocks

Chandelure is one of your 4 pokemon weak to ground, If you are looking for a switch Talonflame would be a good choice as it provides you with a fire replacement who is immune to ground and is very strong choice banded which is a similar role to how chandelure is being used.(Optional)
(Talonflame) @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Tailwind

Your Mawilite set looks OK to me, don't really use the pokemon so I can't make much of an opinion on it, however it does share a fire weakness with two other members of your team.

Salamence is somewhat outclassed by most other dragon types these days, So I will recommend garchomp who is slightly faster and performs a very similar role to salamence but with perhaps a slightly better typing for stab Earthquake.(Optional)
Garchomp
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Lonely Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance

Skarmory is the 3rd fire weakness on your team, although it seems to have a good purpose on your team so it could probably stay or you could possibly replace with a mandibuzz to remove a fire weakness.(Recommended)
Mandibuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt/Whirlwind

Finally we have jolteon, who you could possibly repalce with thundurus for some priority Thunder waves and taunts to bring more utility to your team, or zapdos for some Extra bulk on your team.(Optional)
(Thundurus)
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Taunt

or

(Zapdos)
Ability: Pressure
EVs:248 HP / 240 SpD / 20 Spe
- Thunderbolt / Volt Switch
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Toxic
- Heat Wave

I realize this has almost completely changed your team, however these are all optional so you only really need to go with one or two of the changes so that you do not have such a big weakness to fire and ground :) Because of the large amount of suggestions I have included Optional/Recommended to help with decisions that would have best impact in helping your team.
Hope it helps

I thank you very much for your fast reply!
At first, I'd better Stay with Skarmory, since... well, personal preference.
I didn't see that I lacked a fairy counter, thanks!

As for Jolteon, I didn't knew Thundurus was usable o.0 But well. Instantly changed~

Now to Salamence: He can use FireBlast to wreck a bit more things. I'd normaly prefere garchomp all the way, but this is really the only thing I value about Salamence.

And to Chandelure: He seems to be a bit weak...? But again, I'll try it out. But then I lack a ghost type for rapid-spin lock... :/ Maybe I'll scrap this, but Chandelure has been quite helpful. Again, testing!^^

Thanks so far, I'll edit it as soon as I'm done testing around.

I would replace Shadow Claw on Excadrill with Iron Head. It lets him destroy Faries, and it's kinda redundant with Earthquake. EQ OHKOs Gengar, and lets him beat Aegislash, the two most prevalent spin blockers in OU. EQ also 2HKOs the uncommon Jellicent, and Shadow Claw doesn't really do enough damage to Gourgeist to justify not spamming EQ. The only real pokemon it makes Exca lose to is Trevenant, but he isn't very common in the upper/middle tiers of OU.

Okay, Thundurus is amazing.
Iron Head is quite nice, but as rarely used as shadowclaw before. But still, an improvement!
And Talonflame needs a bit more testing, but still, the one match it worked out fine.
Replaced Salamence with Dragonite. it worked a bit better out, maybe just choosing garchomp after all, after this day when the testing phase is over.

Also, updated my Startpost.

Well, the team is so far so good. I'm slowly getting a grasp of what to play against what, and I'll soon update my team again, still, chandelure is freaking awesome against so many things... still testing talonflame today.

I thank all of you so far for helping me, and look forward for more critism!

Mawile can't learn fire punch, so... well, it's my only option for a physical fire attack.

Edit: Whoops, you meant dragonite, sorry. Already did that, thanks!

Updated my start post, added more detail to my team.
Currently I just don't feel so satisfied, Excadrill is very nice, but I always just use something else instead of him.
I don't really needed a rapid spinner till now, maybe you could recommend something to replace him?
I currently have some members in mind:

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs:252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Ice Punch
- Swords Dance

Quite useful, but I feel it's a bit redundant with Dragonite in my team. It's fast, strong, and can kill many threads with extremespeed, and one SD can make the difference. Ice punch is also really cool on him. Justified is quite good, when you want to trade him in for an annoying fake-out or similar things.

Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch
- Meteor Mash / Zen-headbutt
- Hammer Arm / Explosion

Goddamnit it's tanky with the Assault Vest, can take a few hits, and is a possible boomer. Great against fairy types, blessed with a STAB Prio move, while having an insane amount of Atk and access to Hammer Arm and Earthquake. And I laugh at every intimidate they try to switch into, I'm ignoring it anyway.

Any other recommendations, or critic?

I'm not that confident with Talonflame, it's... meh. I just can't bring myself to like it, since the testing phase. Always the enemy has something against it, something that just stopps it in it's tracks (I hate Heatran, and Heatran hates Dragonite/Chandelure). I'm not such a fan of it :/

+ I'd have then just thundurus as Special sweeper, which... doesn't do that much of a good job when having thunder wave and taunt. But taunt is just so good <3
