Froslass is the main dual screens setter for hyper offense teams in RU that also provides many other forms of support for its teammates such as Spikes, Taunt, and Destiny Bond. However, outside of this role, Froslass has nearly no use in RU. Taunt prevents setup sweepers, walls, and various utility Pokemon such as Reuniclus, Golisopod, Milotic, and Togekiss from taking advantage of Froslass's rather passive nature. Icy Wind, on the other hand, gives Froslass some offensive presence, a better matchup against common Defoggers, and the ability to slow down faster threats like Noivern. Destiny Bond is an option to remove an opposing Pokemon from the battlefield safely if Froslass has no more use. However, this move is typically used on a Spikes lead set and is hard to fit over another move on this set.

Strong setup sweepers such as Linoone, Cloyster, and Mimikyu appreciate Froslass's dual screens support, as they have an easier time setting up. In addition, they also appreciate their typical checks being worn down by Froslass's Spikes. Unfortunately, Froslass invites many Pokemon such as Incineroar, Metagross, and Reuniclus onto the battlefield due to its lack of offensive presence. As a result, teammates that check these Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Necrozma, Barbaracle, and Rhyperior are important. Since Infiltrator users like Noivern and Crobat are troublesome for offensive dual screens teams, setup sweepers that check and take advantage of them such as Slurpuff, Polteageist, and Tyrantrum are good choices too. Other utility Pokemon such as Misty Terrain + Memento Galarian Weezing and Sticky Web Ribombee pair well with Froslass to additionally support these setup sweepers.

Froslass's main niche in RU is as a fast dual screens setter for hyper offense teams that also provides many other supports for them such as Spikes, Taunt, and Destiny Bound Bond. However, as a dual screens setter it faces competition to Pokemon such as Klefki and Xatu which have either a more useful typing or more reliable ability. (Froslass is the main setter on screens so it doesn't really face much competition.) Icy Wind gives Froslass some offensive presence, a better match-up against common Defoggers, and allows it to slow down faster threats like Noivern. Taunt is an option to shut down walls such as Milotic, Registeel, and Bronzong or to prevent bulky foes such as Golisopod, Snorlax or Reuniclus take advantage of Froslass. Destiny Bound Bond is also a useful move to remove an opposing Pokemon from the battlefield safely if Froslass has no more use. However, both moves are rather used on a Spikes Lead set and hard to fit over another move on this set since giving up either Spikes or Icy Wind is in most cases unfavorable. Cursed Body is the preferred ability, as its effect may turn a battle in favour of the own team.

Strong setup sweepers such as Necrozma, Linoone, Cloyster, and Mimikyu appreciate Froslass dual screens support as they get an easier time to set up. In addition, they also appreciate that their typical checks get weaken by Froslass's Spikes. Other supporter such as Misty Terrian Galarian Weezing with Memento or Sticky Web Ribombee pairs well with Froslass to support the setup sweepers additionally. Hyper offense teams like to have Stealth Rock and Froslass forms a great hazard stacking core with an offense Stealth Rock setter such as Necrozma, Metagross, and Cobalion. (Most HO teams actually forgoes SR altogether. You can add on mentions of setup sweepers that set up on Froslass's common switch-ins such as Incineroar, Registeel, and Stakataka. Noivern, and lesser extent Crobat, is quite annoying due to Infiltrator so any screens team should've set up sweepers to take advantage of Noivern like Slurpuff, Rhyperior, and Polteageist.)
