Abilities:
Synchronize: (Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and when inflicted by the major status ailments Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, will share their status condition with the opponent. Pokemon will not be inflicted by status conditions to which they are immune by virtue of typing, ability, etc.
Inner Focus: (Passive) When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Magic Guard: (Passive) This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, Burn, and Partial Trapping moves. It can still attack itself in confusion, and will still take damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks. A good mix of tried and true, and interesting picks. Same with Fort, he brought a Wormadam, Alakazam, Hariyama, and Goodra, among others.

AHHHHHH!

Running just out of the range of the field, she continues overseeing the two trainers.

The tower in the field can shoot electricity. That's cool... Syclant seemed to have expected as much, and dug underground, leaving the Sableye to have electricity wash over it. The Syclant re-emerges and smacks the Sableye for some damage, but is utterly exhausted, leaving it vulnerable to a Foul Play. Both battlers seem content not to mess with the contraption... for now.

Sableye now learns from the last mistake it made, and protects itself as Syclant batters him with a barrage of ice, and another wave of electricity washes over them! The bug is now struggling to move, short-circuited by the powerful electricity. However, the speedy bug still outspeeds the gremlin, thanks to the massive gem the ghost has to carry around. With another furious attack, Sableye retaliates with a Knock Off and then a Fire Punch, hitting the bug right where it hurts, as it's down and crackling with its affliction.

Syclant prepares itself to withstand the onslaught of attacks, but Conkeldurr decides to wear down the bug instead. Conkeldurr reels back and thrusts forward a fiery punch that does tremendous damage, and the bug waits, endures the paralysis, and then retaliates with enormous damage! Although the bug goes down, Conkeldurr is reeling from the attack, heavily weakened.

Uh... Hello? Anyone? Is anyone going to address the giant obelisk that keeps spewing electricity!?!

I guess not... anyway... Conkeldurr protects itself and retaliates against Alakazam's psychic powers, while another batch of good old fashioned evil electricity hits Fort's Pokemon again. Conkeldurr got very exhausted from those Protects, however, and it's hanging on a limb.
